THE MAGAZINE RELAX LOVES TO HATE
________________________________________

Dear Scenetown,

Summer is almost over now. And what
a summer we had, didn't we? 3O degrees
outside on an almost daily basis. I'd
say I have done my share of scening
even though the season told me to spend

time outside. PROPAGANDA 23 was put out
early summer and the group I'm in went
bonanza into topgear. Can't help think-
ing of Summer 1992 and of a certain sys-
op I knew very well back then. I don't
know how many of you remember PARADIZE,
the European board, but flying under
GENSIS*PROJECT and later on ILLUSION
it is still by many considered to be
the best Euro-board ever. At it's best,
all American callers were on PARADIZE
like bees to honey and you were most
likely to find a release here after
only an hour in the states. SODAPOP,
proud sysop of the board refused to
leave the board unguarded, but wanted
to spend time outside. As easy as that,
he thought and for 5 days, he kept the
board out in the garden - running the
entire time. I have been to his house

several time and I can assure you that
there is a magnificent view of the ocean
from the garden. So while people from
IKARI, NEI, GENESIS and all over the
planet were chatting SODAPOP, he was
listening to the seabreeze, just a
short walk from the house. Quite a
scenario, I can tell you that!

Well to be completely honest honest
with you. I did take a 2 weeks vacation
from the scene. 2 weeks in Italy, Monaco
and France - and I did not bring my C64
along. No, this was pure relaxation to
reload the batteries for what I consider
to be the most interesting season for
the Commodore 64. Autumn is here.

So we failed to deliever the outfit we
promised with this issue. I can assure
you we will be using it soon. Instead,
we are kicking of the new season with
something much more interesting. As of
this issue, I have the honour of wel-
coming DUKE to PROPAGANDA-STAFF. DUKE
needs no general presentation - thous-
ands of copies of THE PULSE in people's
diskboxes across the world and top-
positions in charts speak for themselv-
es.

DUKE and I go way back in time. Years
ago we were fierce competitors and not
one issue of our magazines passed our
hands without quarrels at each other.
The entire affair culminated as we both
were in Denmark, Christmas 1993. THE

PULSE-STAFF participated in the graph-
icscompetition with a text saying "BAD
PROPAGANDA FOR G*P". Our dear SCOPE'S
picture didn't make it to the competi-
tion since THE PULSE-staff "lost" the
disk.

When things settled between PULSE and
PROPAGANDA DUKE and I decided to app-
roach each other on a more mature
level. We were even making plans for
a cooperation release on Christmas
1995 - a Pulsaganda actually. However,
nobody's happier than me today, now
that DUKE is working for PROPAGANDA.
No matter how ironical it may seem. His
chapters will speak for themselves. He
brings on new ideas with the best touch-
es from THE PULSE and will be doing so
in the future editions. PROPAGANDA will

remain the same, cocky piece of meat it
always was - just better.

You may also wonder why we're not dig-
ging in deeper on the RELAX/ALPHAFLIGHT/
F4CG/PROPAGANDA-issue. To be honest with
you, I am just not up to it any longer.
The debate can go on and on forever with
every issue of the magazines released,
with every crack our groups release.
And no matter how subjective or object-
ive RRR wants this show to be, fact
remains there will always be two sides
of the story. I E-mailed RRR recently
and said that I generally don't give a
shit about the hatred going on any long-
er. "if a wrong version of the story
has been prepared for the scene I am
NOT willing to see the file being
closed, even if it might not reflect

your interests". Says it all. Trying
to talk to RELAX is like talking to a
big concrete-wall. There is never any
sense of negotiation, kindness or open-
minded disucssion. RELAX is always
right. RELAX never makes mistakes.
RELAX always wins. RELAX never excuses.
RELAX always rules. RELAX always inv-
estigates everything very carefully.
RELAX always has the most reliable
sources.

RELAX is a boring magazine to read.
They couldn't even write their humourus
chapter "lost files" without trying to
reflect their feelings towards F4CG.
You guys must be so bitter.

Hats of for the effort. Hats of RRR,
you win in the end! The concretewall

proved to be effective. But that
doesn't matter. RELAX is always
right, no matter what the charges.
I am looking forward to see ALPHA
FLIGHT rule in the future. And how
bad things are at F4CG and ONSLAUGHT-
camp. Oh by the way, if you still con-
sider PROPAGANDA to be pro-F4CG, why
don't you print the releaselist this
month and put it on the wall next to
the AFL+RELAX marriage-certificate.
Will probably make you smile when you
write the next "LOST FILES" in a life-
less magazine.

Sincere regards,

Newscopy, ALWAYS WRONG
PROPAGANDA - RELAX BEST BUDDY!
