Oke' so here we are again with the
"About..."-chapter which our magazine
features every time.
This time we have a rather commercial
topic.
We hope you will enjoy reading it and I
hope it will help sceners to remind
that there [still] is a legal C64 market
and that this scene is not only about
cracked games.

The chapter was written by another guest
editor named "Peter Staaks" aka Nuke/M8.

Hello, my name is Peter Staaks and I run
the Dutch C64 software company Eagleware
International Productions. In this
chapter you can read something about the
past but more important is what's
happening nowadays and what are our
future plans!!!

Eagleware International Production (EIP)
started with selling games like
Confusing Quest, Confusing Quesy 2 1/2
and Stars & Rings Deluxe. These games
were designed my me using Gamemaker from
Activision. The results were mixed. Some
people liked them and some hated them.
Many magazines wrote bad things about
them (and some of that was true) and
after careful consideration I decided to
withdraw them from the catalogue. The
first real programmed games we released
were Fields (by Funeral Moon) and Dumi
(by CommoBam). These two games were nice
games, but puzzlers like many others
around. The sales weren't excellent, but
I guess this is normal with puzzlers. I
reckon most people have all kind of
puzzlers in their diskboxes! Therefore
Eagleware is looking for something new,
new arcade games and perhaps special
puzzlers! We found some great teams and
they sold their games to us! I will talk
about all our games available and I'm
starting with our first releases and
later on in this chapter news on our new

      This game, as mentioned before,
      was designed by Imaic from
      Commobam. I personally like this
      game as it's a logical game with
      great graphics and nice music.
      The best rating was from Commodore
      Manai (UK) and they gave is 93%..

      A connect 4 clone. Get 4 blocks in
      a row and try and beat the
      opponent. This game can be played
      against the computer or with two
      players. The game contains
      excellent graphics and also great
      music. I'm not a big fan of this
      game, but playing with two player
      makes it big fun! Commodore Action
      raring was 78%...

      A simple puzzle game designed by
      Ewen Gillies. It's a May Jong game
      with simple graphics. If you like
      these kind of game the get a copy!

      It contains strong (but  from a
      high guality...) pictures that
      might be shocking for younger
      people. You can only buy this
      game if you are over 18!!! The
      main game is a puzzler, but an
      addictive one!!!

      Everyone knows Lepsi Developments!
      Well... they've made this game and
      it's great! Finally an arcade
      game!!! It reminds me of the first
      part from the RAMBO game...

      What do we have here? What a great
      game! Another arcade game made by
      Nostalgia Productions!!! It is
      similar to game from MicroValue
      (I believe it was called Demonware
      or something...) and it contains

      excellent graphics (by Blazej
      Strazak also know as
      Diverse/Fairlight) and the music
      is also superb!!!

most of you get these games through the
illegal scene, but if you wish to
receive more cracks them please buy
original games! Only if you continue
supporting the legal scene you can
continue receiving illegal cracks! So

like Alioth and it's cracked... if you
like it then please buy an original from
the Eagleware address or from one of our
distibutors. Many people have worked
hard on these products and it's the only
way to keep the C64 alive!!!
