NEW ZEALAND SECTION - LINK 11

hey dudes. back once more, its your
favourite kiwi buddy THE ROGUE,to keep
you all up to date with what's been
happening in the kiwi scene lately.

first off,i wanna point out that,as you
all know, the kiwi section of THE LINK
has not been well kept up,in recent
issues, this is mainly due to all the
confusion with the changes of editor, and
the co-op stuff,etc. but (hopefully)
from now on,we can keep this section new
and up-to-date,for each issue in the
future. anyway,what i've decided to
write this months article on is,the
recent changes within each of the few NZ
groups.

let's start with SYSTEM,this group has
really had a lot of hassels with the NZ
scene,i.e.they've changed names at least
3 times,members giving up,etc,etc.

my opinion SYSTEM have been the backbone
of the kiwi scene for a long time, not
only are they the longest surviving NZ
crew so far,but they are the only ones,
that get off they arses & do something.
sure,there are other guys,who release
COOL wares from here, but, how many of
them would take the trouble to organise
the 1st scene party,another thing i
admire about the SYSTEM gang,is that
they really like being on the scene and
they do want to see new zealand's scene
survive,so much, they are willing to pay
someone else to code a magazine for them
as they don't have a coder of their own
yet, just to have something to release
which brings me to the next group on the
list.

FURY,who are more of a trans-tasman
group, with their main member in NZ,but
the majority in australia.

so i guess the only member of FURY that
really has any relevance in this article
is MIDROMIN. this guy has really done a
lot for the kiwi scene, bringing it to a
high in the short time he has been on it

he began his scene life as DEVIL/ROTEC a
unfortunate group, but still a good start
and despite the fact that he and myself
had a slight altercation 6 months ago,i
still admire his coding ability, and the
amount of products he has released since
being on the scene, must be one of the
highest ratios ever, and that leads me to
the LITHIUM boys of new zealand who have
not been too active lately.

as no-one has heard from their leader
HURRICANE for awhile (at the time of
writing this). NIGHTHAWK is one of the
best graphicians around and he has had
lots of exposure through out LITHIUM'S
wares and odd logos here and there that
he's given to other crews.

i don't think there are any other crew
members in NZ at the moment.
but i'm looking forward to the next
issue of CULT to be released.

that just leaves the newest crew of them
all to new zealand,BAD KARMA,and in my
opinion, the elite of the nz scene THE
HEGG,not only has he maintained the #1
nz graphician,since he started,but he's
becoming a talented coder,releasing the
ex-ROTEC magazine,GRAPEVINE.

as well as several co-op demos, with kiwi
crews coming up,and there you have it,a
full psycho-analysis of there kiwi scene
i am sorry if i forgot anyone or any
group but i'm typing this on a saturday
afternoon,watching the cricket,with a
hell of a hangover banging at my skull.

hope ya liked it, if ya didn't then
NO CARRIER.
