the australian group FURY was dissolved
on the 1st april. as fury was one of
the most active group in oz, the sudden
departure needs an explaination. the
leader RASTAN had sent to the link a
LETTER TO THE SCENE about the reasons.
link 11 prints this letter by his formal
request and we did it in good faith. the
following material may be offensive so
be warned. the letter was printed as is
without any editing by our staff. they
are his words.
         AUSTRALIA VS. LAMENESS
                   BY
              RASTAN/FURY

is australia lame? this question has
been asked again and again by many
sceners who see the scene from many
angles. this chapter is based on two
topics which do relate evidently, they
are the australian lameness and my
leaving the scene.

that's right, i have finally left our
wonderful scene for numerous reasons
which all tie to my conclusion of
australia.

for months i tried to prove to europe
that australia is no lame nation. i
wasn't trying to compete with europe
but rather cohenside with productivity
to earn the respect which i thought we
deserved.

i contacted every coder i could think
of. i tried to bring australian coders
together, to communicate. communication
is the reason for the european scene
success. in australia, it seems that the
coders or rather ROUTINE-PUT-TOGETHERERS
are so far up themselves that their pig
stubbonous and bloated egos are all
what counts. it's called selfishness...

australia has what 3 real active coders?
(GIORGIO ARMANI, METRO, QUETZAL)
i'm not talking rippers, we all know
who the rippers are. they produce the
same boring old code and call themselves
electronic geniuses or change their
handles so many times, they don't know
what to call themselves.

i'm also not talking about lame source
patchers, no new code, all the same,
"they call it code/routine swap". i call
it "ORGANISED RIPPING".

australia has definitely no hope. i've
promoted australia until i'm blue in
the face, when i find out that all
europeans see is lame monthly "DEMOS"
which take anyone decent 15 minutes
to code and pack, i feel ashamed and
embarassed.

but it's not only coders which made a
scene. it seems lately we are not who
we think we are. when i think back on
the scene in the future, i'm sure all
i am going to remember is the bitchiness
and childish attitudes of egotistic,
immature little children, found as a
breed called "SWAPPERS". some swappers
in the country can't count. they think
30 contacts is 250. "BUT I DID HAVE 250
IN THE OLD DAYS?!" - famous quote...

nobody communicates, everybody is
selfish. who really cares about
australia as a whole? no, it's the race
to be number 1 voted swapper or coder,
or group! "i must boast my self-pitified
ego by being number 1, then i'll be
proud of myself."
throw your ego and lies and create wars
in the scene. i'm sure in real life,
you are just a pimple faced, teenage
nerd. it's ok that the scene is mostly
made up of teenages, but must they act
so much like children?

wars. "YOU FORGOT TO CREDIT OUR FONT,
I'M WARNING YOU!" my friend's friend's
best contact's brother said you prank
called him, "i'm writing an article in
my mag to show how immature i am and
war with my ego!"

wars, bitchiness, lamers, rippers, lies,
lame code, australia has no hope...
don't try to bring them together, they
won't listen, don't communicate, crews
think they are ice-t with their
senseless swearing and bad mouthing, my
role model as a kid was humphrey, but
i didn't beat my mother thinking i was
he!

one last note is please, if you have
any problems with this text, don't
refer to this magazine or it's staff.
or me either, i don't care anymore. i
only care about thanking the kind
editors in letting me have my last
say ever on the scene. after 14 plus
hours a day of coding, australia respect
i think it's owed to me.

RASTAN/X-FURY/X-ROTEC/X-JUSTICE

----------------------------------------
ok so there you have it guys! rastan
will be attending the australian scene
party on the 17 & 18 july. so i
suppose, if you have any questions, you
can meet him there. although the text
is a bit rough, there is no doubt some
truth in it. i hope the readers can
read that with an open mind. if it
wasn't for all that stress, rastan would
not leave the scene with this message.
but i, as the co-editor do see hope in
the oz scene. otherwise, i would have
left it myself! anyway, RASTAN do
acknowledge that there are hard-working
sceners in the oz scene which includes
all the TSR MEMBERS in particular and
others in other groups. he prefers not
to mention all the names as that maybe
prejudicial. the viewers are left to
their own conclusions as to who rastan
mentioned as the trouble makers!

maybe as a result of this note, we can
work something out so as to promote
the australian scene as a whole and
not for selfish reasons and childish
fights. the other path, of course, will
no doubt lead to self destruction of the
scene shall the scene continues with
those stupid fights.
