! that must have been on april 6, 1975.


? ok that were the most important things
  but pleaz give us a small introduction
  of yourself.
  (personal facts : height - hair colour
                    eye colour - glasses
  sparetime, other interests, job/school
  hobbies and so on!!)

! um, last time i have taken measure
  i was around 1.84 meters tall, i have
  had brown hair and brown eyes my
  entire life. these my velvetlike eyes
  see the world through glasses. since
  i am studying and beside this also
  working to earn some extra bucks i do
  not have a lot of sparetime, but if
  this happens to be i (sad, but true)
  hang a lot of time infront of those
  stupid computers, mainly i am still
  dealing with the 64. other interests-
  well, i'm really into music (or call
  it what you like; i'm speaking about
  underground- (hard)trance, acid and
  techno in general), time passes at
  dance-parties, composing (?!) and just
  listening to it. sometimes i am in the
  mood for some 'reallife'-roleplaying-
  games, well, i know how to spend my
  time...

? for how long have you been in the 64-
  scene. or in other words : please tell
  us when you entered the world of the
  commodore 64 - and it's scene?

! all this started happening to me when
  having bought my c64 (ehh?) in early
  1990. unable to enjoy the 'better'
  games with a datasette only i became
  a proud owner of a 1541-ii diskdrive
  in september the same year. gambling
  around some time i noticed a local
  club here in dresden which got the
  name 'commodore club dresden', i got
  access to some scenestuff (demos),
  that inspired me to do some grafix
  myself. well, some guys thought these
  grafix were good and helped me to get
  into a scenegroup - that was in may
  1991, i think.

? in which groups have you been before?

! well, nothing serious to mention here,
  just take it as a fact that creatures
  is my first real group.

? your handle romulus.
  is there a special story to it?
  please tell how you got it!

! i used this handle long before coming
  to the computerscene. it goes back
  onto the meaning of my real name roman
  what does really mean roman.(strange?)
  as we all know from history, romulus
  was the first roman (if you want so).
  i have spent a lot of time studying
  the history of the roman empire, well,
  and i just like that handle.

  but what about things you dislike!

  is there any particulary phenomena or
  maybe dudes you do not like in the
  scene. give us the story!!

! i feel a strong hate to all those
  fascistic german pissers i have been
  dealing with, that's it...

? i support you 100 percent in that my
  friend.

? what is your plans for the future ?
  both in the scene and in private !

! in scene i plan to push out one more
  creatures-demo and then probably stop
  being active, but we'll see what will
  be going on next year. private i just
  have the aim to get a maximum of
  education to assure getting an
  interesting job...


? the c64 scene unfortunately can't live
  forever !
  when it dies (in a lot of years!!)
  what will you then do?
  jump to the (l)amiga or pc, or simply
  quit the entire compy-scene?

! at the moment i don't think i'll
  start activities in any other computer
  scene, even if there will be the
  necessity to get some of those
  computers you just mentioned.


? people often talk about a lamer.
  but what is a lamer?. please give me
  your definition !

! uhm, tricky question. a lamer is a guy
  who produces/talks shit all the time
  and doesn't recognize that the things
  he does are below any good standard
  even if he was told to improve it.
  lamers do not return cheated stamps.
  well, and since some time i would add
  people to this category, who enter the
  scene and become swappers (and nothing
  more) immediately, i know this does
  not really fit to the public opinion
  that beginners are no lamers but i
  just tell you my experiences.

? do ya have a lot of contacts ?
  (how many - name a few.)

! i had around 85 contacts, but i
  decided to stop (mega)swapping.

? do you prefer legal stuff or cracks
  from your contacts.?

! argh!stay away with those darn cracks!

? do you use cheated stamps ?

! yes!

? why?

! i don't want to repeat the usual story
  of the poor student here again. the
  post taxes in germany are too high for
  me.

? magazines! some people say there's too
  many - some say there's not!!
  what do you think?

! hmm. i do not have anything against
  mags but i do not really like groups
  that produce only mags and nothing
  more.mags shouldn't be the main thing,
  so if a group runs a mag beside doing
  other jobs it's okay. and you can
  talk about 'too many mags' as much as
  you want, you wont reduce their
  amount!

? no i must admit that. actually i think
  more and more mags are produced.
  they for one thing sure keep the scene
  alive, but what about demos?
  what do you think about the quality of
  the demos produced nowadays?

! the quality is (ofcourse) high like
  never before. but that also means
  that the people await a special
  standard from any demo being produced
  these days and so the 'less good'
  demos don't have any chance to get
  spread, that's not the way it should
  be like.

? what is your advice to all the demo -
  producing groups, concerning their
  future productions?

! i am not kind of a mighty teacher who
  has got the right to tell other people
  how they should act. i wont give any
  advices. why don't we just let the
  groups do their stuff the way they
  want?

? if you had the opportunity to build up
  a new group - which persons would you
  like to join ?

! well people, let me tell something to
  the ones that used to swap with me.
  i did not send out for months, and i
  don't think i'll restart swapping.
  there are a lot of reasons, most
  important was that i didn't get my
  stamps back from most of you anymore,
  then, i am the opinion that usual
  swapping is a total waste of money and
  time and does NOT (believe me) do much
  to keep that scene going. anyhow, i
  will send a last time somewhen in the
  near future and keep a very small
  amount of my best contacts.

? hmmm. it seem that a lot of dudes have
  not heard the word homeboy before!!
  ok i'll better explain it then!

  a homeboy: well the word is developed
  in the ghettos in usa.
  it is particulary used by the hip-hop
  freax.

  the meaning is plane and simple :

  friend - buddy - pal    and so on!!!

  the mexicans and the puortoricans in
  the ghettos have twisted the word a
  bit and say homie!!!
  this is also normally used now!!!

  i hope more people understand the word
  now!!
