+------------+

The Germanbased flight has grabbed a
firm grip around plenty of releases,
clearly positioning themselves as
dangerous. Recently over the year,
the past months have appeared somewhat
bumpy in terms of a steady pace. With
SKINHEAD and SKID ROW leaving for
AVANTGARDE shortly, things were looking
slightly devastating. However, not even
a scar can be spotted from the past,
with a flight as strong as we have never
seen it before.

THE EVIL ISLAND GOES BACK ONLINE
THE EVIL ISLAND GOES BACK ONLINE
________________________________________
THE EVIL ISLAND is regarded as a fairly
new board with only a few years in ser-
vice under the ALPHA FLIGHT label. How-
ever, the board was announced during a
time when the boardscene was decreasing
quickly, which helped popularity and
appreciation a great deal. As THE EVIL
ISLAND was taken away from us a few
months back, plenty of people shared
the sorrow having taken the system to
their hearts. Only recently, ALPHA
FLIGHT announced the reopening of the
board, which was warmly welcomed by the
wide public. HOLIDAY IN CAMBODIA is
still facing difficulties, however.

Once a pompous system for the overnight
fame ARCADE, it's been standning fairly
unvisited, boasting quite a weak support
of wares. Some people have also had
problems connecting to the board, being
dropped of at the carrierdetect. THE
CAMBODIA-CONCEPT is otherwise a fine,
huge system, and deserves a whole lot
more support than it receives today.

RELAX MAKES IT BACK TO THE SCREENS
RELAX MAKES IT BACK TO THE SCREENS

The relaunch of the magazine was one
of the most awaited ones. With THE PULSE
being gone, RELAX tried to market them-
selves as substitue and sister to the
old Danishbased success. However, after

an impressive debute, the sequel was
taking time to merge. Unfortunately, it
has been hard for the magazine to create
solid reliability, but with some issues
coming in the not too far distant, RELAX
will be heading for a German success.

WILD THING ON THE BOARDS
WILD THING ON THE BOARDS
________________________________________
One of the newer recruits in staff is
without doubt stirring the digital pot
on the boards. CHOITAIRE, a provocative
German has been having a hard time
fighting with virtually everybody on
the American boards. At PROPAGANDA, we
call him Wild Thing, not really fighting
about anything, saying anything.

AVANTGARDE continue to rock the boat,
and still establish themselves as the
strongest label there is on the 64
today. Recruiting new talent and pol-
lishing the already existing sections,
AVANTGARDE is making sure to maintain
the solid lead throughout the rest of
1995. Still, there are some signs to
worry and look out for in the organ-
ization. Veterans are aging, leaving
less time for the scene at stake.

POLISH SECTION ANNOUNCED
POLISH SECTION ANNOUNCED
________________________________________
Following the trend of all other top-
groups, AVANTGARDE announced the launch
of a Polish section. With Poland being
a strong source of originals these days,
it would appear difficult and stubborn
to ignore the possibilities it may
trigger. DRUID, who still will remain
in AGONY and originalsupplying TRIMONE
were the first names out to represent
AVANTGARDE POLAND. This is interesting,
considering the strong sections from
both F4CG and TRC*SCS. Competition will
grow further, and our eyes will focus
even clearer on the once communistic
country.

RELEASINGFUZZ WITH HCON
RELEASINGFUZZ WITH HCON
________________________________________
With the release of WALKERZ, a splendid
game from NEW ENTRY, the hazzle between
AVANTGARDE and ONSLAUGHT+HARDCORE was
official. Both groups, were fairly quick
to release the game, whereas the coop-
earation were ignorant enough not up-
loading their version to all the boards.
On top of that, AVANTGARDE claimed the
HCON version didn't work properly on
NTSC. The accusations were correct, and
with a few days shaking the foundations,
HARDCORE+ONSLAUGHT were forced climbing
of their high horses letting AVANTGARDE
take the pride and points of the game.

A SLIGHT MISTAKE
A SLIGHT MISTAKE
________________________________________
With DEFF observing every release done
on the scene, working for the PROPAGANDA
list, it may appear odd that AVANTGARDE
could ever do a rerelease. However, with
the Dutch game RELAX, it happened. TRC
released the game far back. The fact
that AVANTGARDE performed a rerelease
seemEd to amuse a wide section of people
who otherwise have to face the punishing
-7 in the releasecharts of PROPAGANDA.
  +----------------------------------+
"WE CHECKED AND JUST COULDN'T FIND

MORE CONFUSING RELEASES
MORE CONFUSING RELEASES
________________________________________
Recently, AVANTGARDE released the pre-
view MORTAL DOGFIGHT, an oldfashioned,
promising arcadegame due to appear in
the not too far distant. However, with
an intro launching it from CHERRY SOFT-
WARE confusion was at stake. With CHERRY
SOFTWARE focusing on fullprice titles,
as well as stating not being involved
in the game, it is still suspicious
concerning the CHERRYintro.

CHERRY SOFTWARE claims the game will
appear on a known budgetlabel by
November this year.

MEMBERACTIVITY IS INTENSE
MEMBERACTIVITY IS INTENSE
________________________________________
For those of us calling the boards, it
was great seeing the activity on AVT
people calling recently. Old fame WEASEL
seemed to flood the boards with his pre-
sence, and even the megaswapping german
INTRUDER was spotted occassionally. With
an internal(?) meeting taking place at
JACK ALIEN'S place, there will most
definately be a continous boost of
activity whereas the members are con-
cerned. AVANTGARDE continues the in-
tensity further by seeking an artist
throughout the most wellknown magazines
on the scene.

________________________________________

With the impressive boost of energy and
a new Polish section up and running,
things could hardly be looking better
at this point. However, DEFF, organizer
of the group, has recently been employed
by the immense BMG/ARIOLA, and as of the
new year he will move to Berlin. It is
still uncertain whether he will be able
to continue arranging the group or not.
Should this be the case, it is very
definate the group will vanish from
the boards and from the scene. I hope
not.

Still sailing on the waves from the
releasing bonanza throughout last year
and beginning of 1995, F4CG has been
somewhat slower during a period. This
however is nothing but temporary, with
plenty of surprises up for the autumn
rush of 1995. Organizing SOLAR says
summer is over, setting a sign that
vacation has come to an end for plenty
of people who have been spendning time
by the beach. The machine, 12 years
and running is getting ready for rush
season.

SO IT FINALLY HAPPENED
SO IT FINALLY HAPPENED
________________________________________
Having talked with excited ambitions,
F4CG finally announced the SuperNintendo
section, a section that was started by
the release of 2 games just recently.
The worldheadquarters will be the long
gone 64-fame TUNNEL OF WARES, run by
STORMRIDER, now F4CG-SNES. 2 other
boards are already up and running. The
memberstatus speaks of people from both
the 64 and other formats, of course with
SOLAR in control. SOLAR, ANTITRACK,
NEWSCOPY, HOBBIT, MFM(SKID ROW), VILE,
STORMRIDER, ABO-BO, JUDGE(ILLUSION) and
more are behind the success, just to
mention a few.

TRUSTED OLD FACES ON DREAMPARK
TRUSTED OLD FACES ON DREAMPARK
________________________________________
As summer came along, a lot of people
were spotted in the heat. MAJA, HAIN,
NEWSCOPY and even MOTLEY found their
way to DREAMPARK again. MOTLEY, having
shown a great deal of interest in the
PC said his inspiration was returning,
and would gladly continue contributing
to the group. Still HAIN caused slight
confusion for a week or two, lending
his accounts to another Polack, leaving
F4CG with the mere suspicion that yet
another imposter was trying to infil-
trate the group. NEOTEC will appear
on both DREAMPARK and the Internet in
the not too far distant.

POPULARITY INCREASES FOR NEW SECTION
POPULARITY INCREASES FOR NEW SECTION
________________________________________
The still quite new demosection of the
group continue receiving acclaim by the
wide public. The successful cubeintro
that has been seen in most releases from
F4CG since spring 1995 was so appreci-
ated that DEVIL was urged to code a
sequel. This should be out by the time
you read this.

DRAZPAINT, utility coded for artist DRAZ
by DEVIL, was of such interest for the
American company LOADSTAR, that they
bought the rights for DRAZPAINT, DRAZ-
LACE and DRAZDRAW. The mentioned ones
will be available later this year.

WEAK SUPPORT ON INTERNET
WEAK SUPPORT ON INTERNET
________________________________________
F4CG is the biggest represented group
on the Internet, with over 85% of the
members having an account set up. An
FTP organized by PLAYBOY/F4CG is running
in Italy, cooperating with MOTIV8. How-
ever, the only FTP receiving constant
support is the one organized by TRC*SCS.
Keeping up pace, PLAYBOY has been forced
to take advantage of the Dutch sight.
Hopefully, support will increase for
the Italian sight in the future.

The FTP is also the main Internet-
distributor of PROPAGANDA and THE PULSE,
the biggest magazines today.

THE FIXER IS YAWNING

________________________________________
CEREBUS, native Australian, responsible
for fixing in the group is facing big
exams this year, and with F4CG picking
up pace in releasing, it is still un-
certain whether the fixing can be hand-
led by CEREBUS all alone.

F4CG Swedish division is running an
internal meeting in November. The meet-
ing is a sequel to the successful RAJ-
RAJ by G*P+CENSOR+JUDAS, insanity-
bonanza last year. This year F4CG,
HITMEN and JUDAS will be represented.

+--------+

So with the cooperation splitting up,
HARDCORE are standing on their own feet
again. It has been rumoured, that both
of the groups were slightly disappointed
in each other, and that efforts were not
quite up to demand. In my eyes, HARDCORE
may not be the most active and often
seen groups, but when doing something,
it is usually done with class and typ-
ical style from the past. FLUMMI'S WORLD
way back proves this, and we expect
there is still a great deal to come.

First out since the splitup from HARD-
CORE was SILVAPOD, a splendid little
game from CP VERLAG. Leading group
AVANTGARDE gladly took on the job help-
ing the group launching the fixed ver-
sion in the states. With this, HARDCORE
stated taking part in the race, not
falling behind without the support from
ONSLAUGHT.

what appears to have been a fake MIZAR
appeared on IRC/Internet recently,claim-
ing to put up INTERTRADE under the HC-
flag soon. HARDCORE denies the state-
ment and still takes pride in not having
a board in their command.

The best of news appeared with HITMEN
returning to the scene. With a lot of
noise, the group announced themselves
doing so by firstreleasing the preview
of CANNON CRAZE. Reactions from groups
out on the boards have proved very
positive. With a new group, we see
energy, hunger and vitamins all togeth-
er, and that encourages us all. Sharing
the number-2 board DUNGEON with TRC*SCS,
HITMEN immediately establish themselves
as a qualitylabel.

WHAT THE CONCEPT LOOKS LIKE
WHAT THE CONCEPT LOOKS LIKE
________________________________________
The idea of rebuilding the group came
early August with JIHAD, PEACEMAKER
and CURLIN cutting to terms over a
beer. It did not take long until the
concept saw light of day, and from there
more people were added.

HITMEN intend to NTSC-fix software for
selected groups throughout the field,
and with a talent like PEACEMAKER, it
will without doubt be requested service.
Furthermore the group intends to focus
on the mailscene, and recruiting SUZUKI,
claiming to depart from OXYRON, the
group has created the essential network.

  +----------------------------------+

says CURLIN to PROPAGANDA, but still
some people have been slightly sceptic
about JIHAD'S involvment in the group.
Nasty tounges claim JIHAD has done his
share on the 64, and is still only
interested in the PC and whatever it
may bring. Some people go even further
and accuse HITMEN for lying about who

supplied their comeback release CANNON
CRAZE. HITMEN claim JIHAD was respons-
ible for obtaining the game, while a
lot speaks for NIGHTSHADE/TRC*SCS act-
ually helping old friends out.

+-----------------------------------+
"You know, NIGHTSHADE was in HITMEN
some years ago, so there shouldn't
        be any problems",
+-----------------------------------+

says CURLIN when commenting on sharing
THE DUNGEON with the Dutch cooperation
TRC*SCS, and of course this triggers
the suspicions even further. Should
this be the case, it is still usual
groups helping each other out.

PROPAGANDAJOURNALIST IN HITMEN
PROPAGANDAJOURNALIST IN HITMEN
________________________________________
The much appreciated journalist for
public affairs at PROPAGANDA entered
HITMEN at a fairly early stage. Quickly
he flooded the boards with his presence
and ran wares at a pace, placing him
as the worldwide numberone runner all
summer. His efforts brought back fine
memories from MURDOCK/G*P who would
boast with his 800 BLOCKS/DAY. Tranziie
will be doing public relations for the
group as well as running wares through
the entire network.

MOTIV8 continue their belief and strat-
egy over the new fashion for 64-sceners;
the Internet. They have been accused
widely for a poor state of quality in
terms of their releases, and MOTIV8
have quite effectively beaten of crit-
icism explaining their involvment in
the market - They do not care about
thhe points in the charts, but instead
attempt to support the scene in all
possible ways. Take it for what it is,
or consider it a cheap shot for fame.

CROSSFIRE LOSING PHONELINE
CROSSFIRE LOSING PHONELINE
________________________________________
With CROSSFIRE losing his phoneline,
it is still uncertain how they will
continue to support their board IN
LIVING COLOR. As it appears, Internet
will be their obvious channel to reach
people with modems, since that is taken
care of at a university in Denmark.

Furthermore, GREENFROG, member picked
up from the departed TALENT has set
up the groups homepage, which puts them
in the lead slightly on the Internet-
field. They also share the FTP with
F4CG in Italy.

MOTIV BELIEVES IN MARKETING
MOTIV8 BELIEVES IN MARKETING
________________________________________
More and more groups perform marketing
stunts in the scene today. MOTIV8 does
this by continuously announcing public
messages at the Internet. When logging
on, the group makes sure you get all
the latest news in the group, comments,
responses and happening. It may appear
slightly exagerrated, but fact is, this
deed does work. CROSSFIRE is doing a
splendid job, keeping the ties together,
building up a solid IT-reliability.
It is still just sad, that we cannot
see them same effort from the group
on the boards. **
