ST= Stirf he is the interviewer

TW= Tonuwa RTD Wotnau he is
              interviewed.
ST: Hello! Please state your name, date
    of birth, occupation and your
    computer handle.

TW: Hi Stirf and hello to all your
readers. My real name is XXX XXXXX.
    I was born on 18. 2. 1976 (for those
who dislike maths - I am 20 years
young). I live in Prague, The
capital of The Czech Republic. In
my eyes it is the most beautiful
city in the most beautiful country
on the earth! And my handle? Ok,
I'LL introduce myself... Hi, I am
    Tonuwa Rainbee Turret Draygon Wotnau
Hey, what's the matter with you,
    mate?

ST: Ugh, Do you have any short for it?

TW: Most of people call me Tonuwa and I
usually sign my letters Tonuwa RTD
    Wotnau.

ST: Ah, that's better... Your handle is
    quite extraordinary. How did you
    come to use it?

TW: It's a long story. That nick is
quite old. Ever seen any text
adventure? There you can always see
something like "Tell me what to do"
or "what now?". I am a T.A.-Lover so
I founded a group of people who
loved this type of games. I called
it what now? And I gave myself the
same name - Wotnau. Later I found it
sounding a bit stupid so I decided
to change it to Tonuwa so that it
would still carry the original. You
can also take it as a bit modified
phonetic spelling of "to no way" or
"the new way". You can choose what
you can choose what you want... So
it became Tonuwa Wotnau. The rest of
my handle is my secret so
    (surprisingly) I won't tell you!

ST: If it's a secret... then don't tell,
secretive person! Since when do you
    own a C-64? I hope it's not another
    secret, eh!?:

TW: Of course it isn't! I got my first
C-64 in 1990 and a drive one year
later. I sold it when entering my
    university (1994) but later I
missed it so much that I bought a
new one half a year later and I am
not going to give it away any more..

ST: What group(s) are you in and what is
    /are your group job(s)?:

TW: I am the main archivist and... Let's
say the organizer of slaves of sid
(s.o.s.) and my second group is
    studio style (S2).

ST: Could you please say something about
the groups, you are in (since when
    they exist, teammates etc.)?:

TW: I founded S.O.S. three quarters of a
year ago as a group of sid-music
fans who are doing their best to
save the treasures of SID art for
    the future. Music collections are
    spread badly, although sometimes
they are real masterpieces! It took
me half a year to get a decent,
    version of Mad Noises/Atlantis, one
of the very best ones!!! Musician's
    works deserve higher apprecciation!!
So we in S.O.S. decided to create an
    archive of music collies. Anybody
can ask us for any stuff we keep and
anybody can supply us music collies.
We never erase so if you were a ,
musician and send your coll. to us,
you could be sure that it won't be
    forgotten!!
Next to this archiving job we are
planning some nice own releases of
    compilations of old classics. The
first one will be called Trance Of
Trenz and it should contain all msx
from games that have anyting to do
with the master himself - Manfred
    Trenz.
I run S.O.S. together with Mc Valach
of React (real wizard of relocating)
and my favourite musician - Orcan
(/react, too). Both have S.O.S. as
    their second group. Hi pals!!!

ST: For how long have you been a part of
    the C64 scene?

TW: Depends on what you call the scene.
I've been a groupie for a year or so
but I was wandering around much
    earlier.

ST: What is "The Scene" in your opinion
    then?

TW: I would like to see the scene as a
    staying-together community of
friends who are active anyhow on
    this Dream-Machine. The "Scene" in
its usual meaning consists mostly of
    arrogant guys whose only interest
are votes and charts. The only rule

is the "Law of the Jungle",- eat or
be eaten. Not the better ones, the
    more treacherous and more dishonest
ones win and what rules is the
    arrogance.

ST: You also have some comments on whole
    the cracking business. Please
    explain:

TW: On what business??? Real cracking is
dead for several years!!! But if you
    mean trainer-installing, then yes, I
have some comments! I wonder how
groups like Avantgarde or (in close
past) motiv 8 and such groups can
lead the cracking charts! some time
ago I heard a guy from Motiv 8
replying to question what is Motiv 8
something like: "We had X% (it was
    25 or 30, I don't remember) of first
releases last year and you don't
know us?" ok, x% of firsties but
    which firsties? Dozens of previews
of never finished games and one-file
    pseudological pieces! And when they
crack a good game by mistake it
usually bugs - higher levels don't
work, the game sticks when trainers
    are not slected etc.
Giving points for +es. My God! What
about "set colour sprite X (Y/N)"???
    Points for chrunching... They make
the game 10 blocks shorter - ok. But
    what is the price? Snail-loader,
    endless decrunching of each level...
And if one tries to change
    something, to care about quality
    instead of quantity, those self-
    established "elite" groups kill him.
Like they did to the Airwolf Team of
    the 1. 8. 1988.
You know... I thought games were
here to play them... Seems that I
    was wrong.
      Shortly: 1st-release-mania suxx!!!
To protect my friends I have to
say that it is my personal opinion,
    not a group-philosophy!!!

ST: What would you like to see changed
    in today's scene (/into what)?:

TW: 1st release mania to first class
    mania. Arrogance and Jungle-fight
    into real competition. Slags and
    other killing techniques into
    respecting people with different
    opinions as equal opponents. Simply
we should realize that we are here
for the scene, NOT THE SCENE FOR US!

ST: Is the Czech Republic, your
    homecountry, a real scene-country?
I mean are there many people that
    are active?:

TW: I know about three groups with HQ
in the Czech Rep., including S.O.S.
it's not much but did you know that
Walkerz'95 were coded by Czech guys
from New Entry? But all in all the
Czech scene is not hyperactive. What
a pity! There are thousands of
people with C-64 who only play...

ST: Here I will give you some room to
write what you have done on the
    commie in the past years:

TW: Completed a lot of cool games, haha.
Well... I regret entering the scene
So late (at the age of 19). In last
    months I founded S.O.S., composed
    several tunes, relocated some old
    classics to standard $1000,$1003 and
sid music. Nowadays I am preparing
two mags. one of them as the main
    editor, and Trance of Trenz
    (mentioned before) and am coding
routines for my noter. Next to it I
swap music stuff for S.O.S. archive.

               PARTY TIME
               PARTY TIME

ST: Know any good jokes?:

TW: A LOT!!! A red indian was walking
through the desert when he saw his
friend lying on the ground, his ear
    on the ground.
His friend: A big stage coach ran
    over here two hours ago!
Red indian: You are amazing! You lie
on the ground with your ear on the
ground and you know that a big stage
coach ran over here two hours ago!!!
Tell me, how do you know???
His friend: It ran over my head. 8-)

"Waiter, waiter there's a wasp in my
soup!!!" I'm sorry, sir, We have run
    out of flies!

ST: What/Who is/Are your favourite;

ST: Anything left to say to people who
    (might) read this?

TW: To the so-called elite: if you want
to kill the C64, go on like this!!!
To the rest: Try to be yourselve
and not to go with the masses!!!
I would like to greet my best
friend. He knows who he is. And also
    Lunatic/Cult, my groupmates from
S.O.S. and S2 and my contacts.
If you want to contact me for any
reason, my addy is in addie chapter.
