CONGRATULATION to THE SECOND RING.
looking back tsr has achieved quite alot
for the australian scene. LINK is no
doubt the longest running mag in oz with
this twelve issue. we do not claim to be
the oldest mag - but the longest & most
consistently running. we made 12 issues
in the past one year unlike others who
made similar issues in much longer time!

just to refresh your memory, the link
has undergone quite a few changes too
in terms of the outfit. there was 7
outfits for the 12 issues which made it
one of the most interesting mag to say
the least. we acknowledge too that alot
more could be done and we will strive
to do that for you my friends! we value
your support.

i remember my first issue of THE LINK
in the post was ISSUE 2 which was the
first mag i have ever seen. you see, i
didn't even know about the scene until
that time. time surely has gone quickly.
from the time when i was inspired by
the mag (how it was made) to the time
when i had the task to make it on my
own was only 8 months apart. at the time
when i read that ISSUE 2 i didn't even
know how to code a 4 color logo on
screen.

it was the scene who helped me to
discover the wonderful things you can do
to a c64 (well apart from smashing it
against an ibm of course). i learnt
it's culture, i befriended with people
and most of all, i had fun doing it!

in JULY, as you may or may not know,
will be my one year of being in this
wonderful scene. and to celebrate it,
i am planning an AUSTRALIAN SCENE PARTY
which was announced few months ago.

if you still don't know about it, ring
me to find out.

the party will definitely be going
ahead. i will confirm the booking of the
hall. and an official invite will be
sent prior to the party to all the
people who sent their money. if you have
not already sent your money, do it now!
the offical invite will include details
of the venue and how to get there. it
will contain a timetable of events for
the two days. SO FOR THOSE WHO ARE
STILL THINKING ABOUT IT, you'll love
what's gonna be there.

for the groups who are committed of
coming, don't forget your entry in the
demo comp.

for foreigners who obviously would have
serious problems of joining us, we
regret the situation and we'll keep you
inform of all the fun we've had.

anyway, i think i better finish coding
this mag and get it out. so daniel
will say goodbye to all of you this
month. if you are keen, wish me luck
for my uni exam!!!

(p.s. does anyone use INTER-NET out
there, i want to know about you cos i am
using it!!!)
