<pre> tha biz-mix!

yo yo yo, welcome to another edition of
'tha biz-mix!'

this time i will flip the inside of my
crazy head ouside! - what the hell do i
mean by that? what i try to tell you is,
that this time i'll talk about the c-64
scene as i see it!!!

2-3 years ago i tried to enter the scene
i made some 3 coloured logo's for some
various groups!
but.. no-one replyed my sendings at all!
offcourse the logo's seen in the back-
mirror looked like shit. but that wasn't
the bad thing!!
the real problem was the attitude of the
contacted groups! i didn't even get an
answer. but i guess i was too lame!!

but hey, we've all been lame once!
we all have to start somewhere. peolpe
like :

electric, creeper,the syndrom or tts

they have also started at the buttom of
the hierarchy.but look where they is now
they have all developed their skills in
their area, and now they get rewarded!

i find this very fair. it is like with
anything else, you have to earn respect
before you can reach the top!!
i once was active in the graffity scene
here in denmark!! but how do you think
our first mureals/pieces looked like??
the sure wasn't master pieces! he-he but
once again, you have to start somewhere!

and that is exactly the same thing in
our c-64 scene. you can't enter as a new
commer and go direct to the top.
unfortunately some think they can; but
the scene is smart enough to ignore them
and put them back on the ground!! and
that is also the way it has to be!!
no doubt about that.

but you also have to remember how hard
it was to enter the scene.
not many answered your sendings in the
beginning. either your stuff was old and
lame or you just wrote stupid ignorant
notes! i still get contacted by newcom-
mers now and then.
but some one of them really are some ass
holes. a text could sound like this!!

hi biz kid my name is kacke b of remal
i'm new in the scene and i wan't a lot
of new contacts. i hope you will swap
with me; if not then go to hell!! but
please send my disk back!!

some dudes really writes such contact-
notes. their ego is way out of control!!
1st they tell me to go to hell and then
to return their disk.. well fuck'em!!!
and the last sentence '..fuck the rest'

i can only say one thing : wannabees!!!

but back to the subject. 1st you get one
answer, then another and another. your
name is more often seen in notes, charts
and so on. you don't really notice the
entrance, but suddenly you are in!!
and then for some stage 2 begins!!
coz now you are a scener, and people
starts contacting you. but you are way
to 'elite' to respond their lame letters

how people change!!

a little popularity and the go bananas!!
i dont like such people. fuck'em!!
i have said it before and i will say it
again :

take good care that your EGO won't grow
bigger than your talent!!

coz in my eyes that is the perfect de-
scription of lamer..
unfortunatly some dudes can't manage to
control this (no names mentioned here!!)

but ofcoz there's examples of people who
are direct opposite.

a good example could be the syndrom..
he is one of the best composers in the
scene today. and all you hear about him
or from him is friendly things!!
he also says it himself; that he is try-
ing to keep good friends instead of war-
ing.
you never hear him brag of his position
in the charts. he just keep composing
excellent music and keeping his ego low.
he deffently get all my respect..

another example of a lamer goes like diz
kacke b sends out 40 cheated sendings,
but he gets busted by the post.
well what does he do? -he starts calling
the post bad names!!
actually the post is just doing their
job!! and he is the guilty mothafucker
here!!
but he'll rather blame the post than ad-
mitting that he is the asshole!!

actually it was jerry/triad who opened
my eyes for this last example!
creditz given where creditz belongs!!

take an example like jerry of triad!
jerry is one hell of a guy!
he has been into a few verbal fights in
the past.

but try take a look on some of his text.
try to analyse the sentences!
here you see a dude who really knows his
way around with the english language!
but that's not all. jerry has this '2nd'
way of looking on things!!
most people in the scene look on things
either black or white.but to me it seems
that jerry look on the same things in
another angle.
this is in my eyes very positive.
unfortunately some guyz don't understand
his way of writing, and see his critics
as an attack. and that is often the rea-
son for stupid wars!!
people should think more before acting!

honestly i think people sometimes get
offended way to easy!! why not calm down
and think it over before acting ?

ok enough about that!

to you jerry i will say that this is no
attack, but i guess you allready know.
i hope more guys will understand you in
the future instead of getting pissed.
have a cool time and stay active as hell

ok let's take a look on another part of
the scene. the demo scene!

demo-groups are getting more and more
popular as time goes on! the reason for
this is deffently the lack of good games
more and more cracker-groups quits or
turn legal at the moment!!
i think this is very positive turn. coz
then more demos will get produced. but
also more demogroups quit or get lazy!!

we can't deny the fact that the time be-
tween demo's are increasing.but the only
ones we can blame is ourselves.
why are there so less demos produced now

one reason is ofcoz the laziness.
another is that the quality of demos is
very high; and we keep improving this
quality all the time. but this takes a
lot of time. new routines must be devel-
oped. the music are often 2 or 4 player-
music (if not 8 or 9).also the gfx takes
more time to do;coz now most gfx is made
in fli-format or fli-interlace.

it deffently takes more time to finish a
demo nowadays than 2-3 years ago.
but i don't think it is an excuse. i do
belive the real reason is laziness.

also the expectations for new demos is
way to high!
most newcommer-groups have a real hard
time getting into the scene. coz their
routines might be a bit boring or 'lame'
compared to top-demogroups.
but they still deserve a chance. some
dudes say :'well fuck these lame idiots'
some times you even say it yourself, but
this is actually the wrong way to think.
becoz it is also these groups who keep
the scene alive.

well think about it!!!

at last i will encourage all demogroups
to get more active and start producing
more demos again. at this time the scene
is very quit concerning demo-releases.
but that is easily explained.every group
is preparing their demo for the x-mas
party 1993 in denmark.

i hope lot's of groups will be there to
spread their newest creations.
i know we (oxyron) will be there with :

join our mega demo.
the demo against nazism. as mentioned in
previous devil of noice - raz of camelot
and me biz kid of oxyron are working on
a big co-op demo.

but we need your help to make it happend
so come on join in and fight the fuckin
nazis.

grafix - all formats (fli,

sprites a.s.o)

music - all formats single, double
quadro, octa

code - the program should make a jump
to a specific adress when space
is pressed. it should be pos-
sible to change this jump.
please send a crunched version
aswell as a raw file, and rem-
ember to inform us where we can
change the jump.

what you make in your part is all up to
you.. also the quality is not that im-
protant, what is important is to be a
part of this anti-nazi demo..

what really counts is to fight a battle
against the growing nazism..
we have to show our disrespect for this
phenomena; for this lowlife attitude!!

well i hope several guyz will join in
after this encouragement.

later a note will be made and spreaded
for the masses.. i (biz kid), raz and
devil will work out a note with more spe
cific informations and spread it.
i guess this note will get spreaded at
the x-mas party in denmark!!!

actually the chapter was now over. but i
recieved a sending from fct of guilty
saying all 4 members joined in.
but that's not all. he also wrote a note
which i'll publish here!!

hey biz kid,
was a very cool idea from you to build
up such a federation against nazism.
i think it is a well-chosen way to show
our respect to all the foreigners out
there having another culture,colour or
whatsoever might differ them from us
and fight the still growing amount of
pissheads simpathizing with fashistic-
or however nazi-groups ...
i myself am fucking proud to have joined
in and i hope the demo,related to this
matter of fact will be a success at all.
but what i must complain about is that
it's a shame that we sceners have to do
something like a demo to make all the
nazi-suckers out there understand that
their beliefs and acting is total non-
sense.
just think about the friendly way we are
welcomed in many other countries when
we spend our holidays there.
but no,grabbing the baseball-racket and
push it over the foreign guy - wouw,
what an accomplishment.
instead of hanging around and doing shit
like this,these dudes should do better
and go to work.
but indeed i think they're all just too
lazy to do something rather productive.
for me,the statement of growing up in
inferior social relations is no excuse
for their acting.
anyway,i know that i can't prevent them
acting that way but all the reason i
wrote this little comment is to support
biz kid's thoughts a bit and to call
upon all you sceners to support the
demo,though it is just a small drop on
a hot stone.
