Since the comeback, a few years back
now, the Germanbased group has estab-
lished itself as both reliable and
competitive. Even though they have been
very silent profiles boardwise over the
past few months, they have still manag-
ed to deliver a handful of qualitypicked
releases as well as solid support by
mail. Not appearing in the public eye,
it was now quite long ago the group ap-
peared in any public hazzles or confro-
ntations concerning activities. It is
a clever strategy, that keeps us foc-
used on their work, and nothing else.

A
ALPHA FLIGHT HEADS FOR THE NET
________________________________________
Having built up the reliability state-
side, with the two respected boards,
THE EVIL ISLAND and HOLIDAY INN CAMBODIA
the group has announced their interest
in moving towards the net. ZAPOTEK, a
Norweigan swapper, who has been respon-
sible for most of the public relations
cocncerning ALPHA FLIGHT netwise, is
currently working on their homepage,
but rumours speak of a possible FTP in
the future as well. It is highly prob-
able the group will follow the trend and
increase activities on the net. With
most established groups heading that way
, they are most likely forced to follow.

A
ALPHA FLIGHT BAD BOY IS BORED
________________________________________
ALPHA FLIGHT'S bad boy CHOITAIRE, not
quite known for his music, but for his
rather noisemaking appearance has been
spotted calling the American boards as
well as appearing on IRC expressing his
uninterest in the 64. He has furthermore
implied how weak and boring the market
has become, even though many of the
tounges have mentioned his depressing
behaviour rest in a personal problem
concerning economy.

FLOOD OF COMEBACKS
________________________________________
ALPHA FLIGHT has furthermore been

subject for a flood of reinforcments and
comebacks. SKID ROW, who has served time
in the group earlier, as one of the
compagnions of SKINHEAD has rejoined,
doing time both cracking and coding.
Meanwhile, RICK from the long gone
PARAMOUNT took out the envelopes from
the cupboard and decided to distribute
the message of ALPHA FLIGHT throughout
the world again. The group seems to have
found harmony in their work, and do not
make much noise in their presence.
Having moved back slightly from the
public eye, their efforts has been an
effective language and strategy to work
their way up the charts.

According to the group, that will
continue during 1996.

Since organizing DEFF moved to Berlin
early December, AVANTGARDE has been on
a track of decline. Releases have been
occuring, but not on the intense level
we are used to. A rather successful co-
operation with F4CG has however main-
tained plenty of the groups activity in
the field, feeding distributors with
software and keeping hardworking talent
JACK ALIEN busy. During the entrance of
1996, we still haven't seen signs of in-
creased impact, but AVANTGARDE have on
the other hand always had an ace up
their sleve.

THE LOSS OF A FIXER
________________________________________
Coming as a shock to the fixing market,
SUICIDE has decided to leave the scene
and AVANTGARDE behind him. Being one of
the most appreciated and talented fixers
on the field, it is obvious he leaves a
black hole in the group. JACK ALIEN has
been covering the loss successfully, but
with a handful of other duties to full-
fil for the group, it is doubtful he can
keep up the pace on his own. According
to DEFF, SUICIDE is most likely to re-
turn to the group and scene sooner or
later, but mentions a possible new hot-
shot that will put them back on spot.
Being of German blood, he is a natural
choice for the group.

fronted about the future of the group.

RELIABLE SWAPPERS CUTTING DOWN
________________________________________
The two most popular and acclaimed dis-
tributors of AVANTGARDE have decreased
their activities. DERBYSHIRE RAM, pro-
bably one of the oldest swappers in the
field refers to a lack of time while
INTRUDER has shown signs of boredom re-

ceiving the same software over and over
again. Also he has been lacking faith
for his group slightly, releasing his
note "R.I.P./AVANTGARDE", even though
the trend is speaking the opposite.
INTRUDER is today also working with
charts and advertisements for PROPAGANDA
which will keep involved on a fairly
intense level in the future. The message
is very disturbing, arriving at a time
when support and faith is the keyword
for the Commodore 64 to continue. We
sense no cause for alarm, but sincerly
hope other swappers not will follow.

COOPERATION RELEASE WITH VIBRANTS?
________________________________________
With Mario having a close relationship
with METAL from the famous VIBRANTS,

METAL'S entrance in AVANTGARDE was not
much of a surprise. However, today the
two lables are finally planning to re-
lease their first production together
being a musiccollection. The collection,
featuring new music from the Danish
legend will most probably see light of
day at the Dutch awaited party, X96.

GRAPHICPRODUCTION ON THE WAY
________________________________________
Also talented artist CUPID will be maki-
ing a presence in the public eye with
an art-collection coded by Polish DRUID
appearing in the not too far distant.
CUPID has been rocketing the charts over
a long period of time and rightfully de-
serves to get the attention from a coll-
ection for the masses.

DODGER ENTERS AVANTGARDE
________________________________________
Still so fresh, even most of the group
doesn't know about the latest recruit-
ment, DODGER has been taken into AVANT-
GARDE. DODGER has during 1995 been act-
ive in both ONSLAUGHT and HITMEN, but
was dismissed from the latter for his
laziness combined with selfawarded pri-
de. In AVANTGARDE, he will definately
be a welcome reinforcmenet, taking away
some of the hard work from JACK ALIEN.
Whether this is a move towards a new
era in AVANTGARDE, is yet to be seen.
It is however clear, some things are
planned to change.

Activitywise, we have never sensed a
bigger rush and boost of energy going
through the old group, that at times has
been experienced as grey and dull. For
the first time in ages, the group has
sensed the value of being in the public
eye combined with a frequent support of
releases. American support is fairly
good and increased activities on the
net make them a very promising label for
1996. Furthermore, they are now, like
F4CG launching a public package of news
to help magazine editors as well as feed
the public. Hats of for the effort.

CHROMANCE LAUNCH THEIR NET-ARTILLERY
________________________________________
CHROMANCE have followed the trend and
hooked up the ftp GANGSTA'S PARADISE in
Hungary. We are looking at an interest-
ing concept where groups arrange FTPs,
name them and support them, just like
we have done with boards over a long
perid of time. CHROMANCE belongs to one
of the more active groups on the net,
and can also be spotted frequently on
the IRC as well as supporting with their
new releases. With GANSTA'S PARADISE up
and running, there is another competitor
to the ones arranged by TRC*SCS, F4CG,
PALACE and PADUA. Most likely, we will
see even more during 1996.

RECHARGING THEIR MODEMS
________________________________________
EDGE OF MIDNIGHT one of the oldest boa-
rds on the market with a past both in
wares as well as HACK/PHREAK has been
rumoured to be put back online in the
not too far distant. Still, CHROMANCE
have guarded themselves recruiting
Texas-born ZEYEX and American board
THE FINAL GENOCIDE, handled by the un-
known FUSION. With COUNTY JAIL, a new
Polish board, the group further implied
they will not only concentrate on the
net, but maintain the old principles on
the scene. With Poland expanding imm-
ensly, it is also very valuable finally
having a qualified board for the Polish
market to take part of. XXL, another

unknown sysop is in charge of the new
system.

ARRESTED FOR USING ARMY-ID'S

Quite recently, both JAZZY D and MR.WAX
were arrested by the Hungarian police
for using fake Army-IDs. The two had
been using the IDs for various purposes
and have been charged for the crime. The
incident will not result major problems
for them, but they did get to spend a
night in jail.

WEAK SECURITY ON THE BOARDS
________________________________________
To further enlighten the weak security
on the boards, JAZZY D'S account on

DREAM PARK was abused over a period of
time, when JAZZY D was unable to call
out. MR.WAX was pointing out the defect
in public, and we at PROPAGANDA confirm
that he is just another one in the line
of people having their accounts abused.
Fakecallers and accountabusers have been
seen on all American boards as well as
some of the most popular European ones.

SPERMBIRD, established swapper was re-
cruited into the section, as well SAGE
and HEDGEHOG, the latter being one of
the oldschool Pollacks who was around
when the Easternblock started expaning.
Compensating the flood of new people
entering the team, SCATMAN was booted.

Closing of the year in a terribly slow
phase, the new year triggered further
acitivites in the field. Lacking a fixer
the group has taken help from AVANTGARDE
in releasing most titles, and have done
so on a very frequent basis. Over the
last few months, F4CG has without doubt
been one of the most productive ones,
and organizing SOLAR and NEWSCOPY remain
very optimitic about 1996. Good support
on DREAM PARK and immensly high presense
on the Internet make us realize they are
back on the steady ground they were on
about a year back.

INTERPARK SAVED
________________________________________
INTERPARK the second most popular FTP on
the net has been reason for worries,
with the systemanager eager to take the
entire system down. PLAYBOY, who org-
anizing the 64-section of the sight has
spent time convincing the manager, and
as of today, it appears INTERPARK is
saved for the time being. F4CG considers
INTERPARK valuable, being one of the
most represented groups on the net.

A NEW MUSICIAN ENTERS
________________________________________
DECODER who has suffered from cancer has
for a long time lacked faith and inter-

est in the 64 and was therefore removed
from the memberstatus. Replacing the
musician, F4CG recruited ZYRON who has
made a name in ANTIC with his moody, and
at times confusing music. ZYRON will be
contributing his work in intros, coming
productions and the independent product-
ion PROPAGANDA.

TRIBUTE 1996 STILL UNCERTAIN
________________________________________
TRIBUTE 1996 is still causing confusion
throughout the scene. Originally destin-
ed to take place in June 1996, the date
is still very uncertain.

says NEWSCOPY, one of the managers be-
hind the concept. Interest for the seq-
uel to TRIBUTE is however immense.
Groups in masses are currently express-
ing their interest in participating, and
it seems the first TRIBUTE was just a
warming up.

MEMBERS THAT HAVE CAUSED CONFUSION

F4CG has also been subject of many con-
fusing statements in various magazines.

American MOLOCH has not left the group,
unlike published elsewhere. He is still
active in the group, even though working
hard with his softwarelabel THRESHOLD
PRODUCTIONS. GOZ, inactive coder from
the demodivision has also been mixed up
with GOT/EX.G*P, now F4CG. GOT, who has
been active on the 64 since 1991 in G*P
originally roots in the veteran Amiga-
world, but has for many years put it
aside for the original brotherhood.

FIRE AT NEWSCOPY'S PLACE
________________________________________
The rowdier bunch of F4CG traditionally
celebrated an occassion in NEWSCOPY'S
apartment recently. A cigarrettebutt
caused a fire to start in the kitchen
while the people sat in another room.

The fire caused some damage, and was
was discovered as smoke poured out of
the room. DRAZ and SIXX were quick to
the rescue, even though damage was al-
ready done.

HILARIOUS RELEASE FROM SWEDEN
________________________________________
Shocking news may be that NEWSCOPY and
SIXX have announced to launch an album
in the not too far distant. The idea has
been to quite hilariously perform songs
about the scene, passing the album out
to the better friends of the group. Re-
leasedate is unknown, but the album is
titled "F4CG UNPLUGGED" and will be out
in a very limited edition on CD.

The group that was awarded comeback of
the year by PROPAGANDA has found harm-
ony in their presence. Without doubt
they have had the highest representation
on the American and European boards,
with a tremendous effort put into it.
Still the group has lacked the availa-
bility of releases to make them a really
dangerous and competetive group. Respe-
cted fixerwise, they have however man-
aged to keep busy. Their activity is
throughout admirable, and we wish for
them to continue holding faith high.

EUROPEAN BOARDS COMPETING EACH OTHER

The German board THE MYSTICAL PARADISE,
managed by PEACEMAKER has gained immense
popularity since the group decided to
connect a 1-8OO to it. Even though the
1-8OO was disconnected quickly, a second
was announced and HITMEN found themselv-
es competing with the other Europan HIT-
MEN board - WAREZ AQUARIUM.

group to THE MYSTICAL PARADISE.

SELFCONCIOUS CRACKER DISMISSED
________________________________________
DODGER, a talented cracker who also
spent time in ONSLAUGHT was dismissed
from the staff. It is obvious DODGER
himself was very proud with his work,
but the other members were not pleased
with his selfrewarded talent combined
with laziness and let him go. Currently
both PEACEMAKER and THE MINISTRY are
doing the crackingjob, among many others
in the group. Additionally they have
also recruited DR.DOOM from Holland who
will be swapping. Supplying the preview
COLONY, he will also take active part in
supplying. ZORE, who comes directly from

the inactive and quickly fading HARDCORE
was added to arrange the "non-existing
graphics", says CURLIN on DREAM PARK.
The supplier MOBY and veteran ARROGANCE
were removed for their weak interest in
the group.

HITMEN IN A CREATIVE PHASE

HITMEN have hooked to the latest trend
of crackergroups taking active part in
demoproducing. Many of the members are
currently busy working on a demo that
will see light of day at X96 later this
year. Not much has been revealed about
the production, but CURLIN, JIHAD,
PEACEMAKER, TYROON and ZORE among others
are the names behind it.

MOTIV8 is an interesting group. They
have since their birth been picked on
and constantly set back for a seal of
lacking quality. Quite remarkably, and
with astonishing effort they have been
working hard to remove this. Good sup-
port on the Internet, abilities to call
the boards and increasing quality of the
wares has made them quite a respectable
group over the past few months. Still,
they are making much noise of happenings
in their group that may not be quite
that relevant to the market. Maybe it
is clever, maybe it concerns noone.

GALAXY RECRUITED AND DIMISSED
________________________________________
Announcing their abilities to call the
American boards again, MOTIV8 also ann-
ounced the recruitment of a second boa-
rd. GALAXY was quickly hyped up by
the Danishbased group, and would come
to serve as a worhty system next to
IN LIVING COLOUR. However, the crack
between organizer CROSSFIRE and the sys-
op GALACTUS grew quickly, whereas the
board was dismissed from the MOTIV8-
flag. The issue was debated widely on
DREAM PARK by the two mainactors, but it
is obvious the sysop lacked both pro-
fessionalism and maturiy to manage to
the board for the group.

INTEREST IN THE PULSE GROWS
________________________________________
MOTIV8 have increased their interest in
the popular PULSE-magazine. CROSSFIRE
works on a steady basis for the SHAPE-
based magazine, but has seen to it the
official european headquarter MOUNT
OLYMPUS, also functions as official
PULSE European headquarter. A 1-8OO has
been connected to it, increaseing pop-
ularity on a global scale.

MOTIV8 OPENS A SECOND FTP
________________________________________
Regardless what people may think, MOTIV8
were somewhat pioneers on the Internet.
Successfully they have established their

institution, and today also share the
popular FTP INTERPARK with F4CG,
PROPAGANDA and THE PULSE. Increasing
their support and faith in the net,
MOUNT TOKAY, a hungarian FTP set up by
STAKE has also been added to their list.
We are looking at a market similar to
the ones on the boards, with different
FTPs, different support and various
popularity. It is all still very new,
and all still very interesting.

PORNODIVISIONS - THE NEW SCENE?

Following what groups like F4CG and
HITMEN have done, MOTIV8 has arranged
what they call a pornodivision. Managed
by a slightly perverted BIRD, MOTIV8
officially request a trade, swap or the

like to increase interest and support in
the sexual, visual world.

PRODUCTIVITY BEHIND THE FLAG
________________________________________
Even though GREENFROG was one of the
names that released one of the most aw-
ful releases in Denmark, Chrismast 1995,
he is one of the names in a new, in-
teresting demodivision in MOTIV8. Along
with the very talented ICEBALL among
other new recruitments, they promise
1996 to be a very good year in terms
of utilities, demos and intros.
