The German based had a rather slow
period kicking off the new year. The
fall of 1994 was definately in the hands
of the old German group, but somehow
it seems the new year triggered diffi-
culties in appearing on the boards and
getting games out. It is however evident
to point out that the energyboosts put
into groups is always periodical, with
groups headed up and down all of time.
However, some releases came their way.

RELAX STILL NOT RELEASED
__________________________
The magazine RELAX ended up successful
and impressed many of the its readers
worldwide, but the sequel let itself
take time. At one point the rumours of
the merge between two old magazines
started circulating again. CORRUPTION
was to merge MAMBA, renaming the two
into CORRAMBA. RELAX was said to cont-
inue its work within the merge, along
with AVANTGARDE. Still, little truth
hid behind these rumours, and as it was
clear that the merge would not occur,
ALPHA FLIGHT stated that a second issue
of RELAX was in the making. It is not
yet certain when it will see light of
day, but the best is yet to come.

EDUCATING FIXERS

Something that surprised us in the
world of decreasing fixers was that
the German squad put out a few games
that made it fixed by a new talent.
CALYPSO, also known as one of leading
swappers worldwide, has now put his
efforts into the NTSC-market. With
PEACEMAKER, once headfixer for ALPHA
FLIGHT slowing down on activities, it
seems the group went on the prowl to
educate new talents, obviously something
they managed to. With this, the group
places themselves again on a competitive
standard, matching few European groups
today.

THE CORE LEAVES THE GROUP
___________________________
By many regarded as the machine behind
the success of the group, SKINHEAD ann-
ounced his departure along with SKID
ROW on the American boards, surprisingly
under calm circumstances. The whole
action was a peaceful move, and only a
few hours later, they were announced to
have teamed up with another German force
being AVANTGARDE. What this means for
the future of ALPHA FLIGHT is yet un-
certain, but with many talents still
being in, they should be able to fun-
ction without SKINHEAD.

AVANTGARDE quickly gained immense pop-
ularity throughout the field. Not only
concetrating on the releases, but also
focusing on an image, aware that success
depends not only on productivity. The
plot worked. However, AVANTGARDE had
a phase that proved less productive
than essential, and therefore had some
problems holding on to the pace others
were keeping up. The pace they had set
themselves, only a few months back!

DEFF BACK ON THE BOARDS
_________________________
DEFF, leader and organizer was a rather
vague appearance by the end of 1994,
but saw to it to make 1995 so much more
of interest for the group, having put
some of the worst exams behind him. With
DEFF out there, the group saw to it that
some traditionally imagehyped releases
reached the boards, and with that, the
voice to the people reached us; they
were reaching higher ground again.

"We never wanted to put out unfixed
games on the boards, and waited until
we had the possibilities again", says
a relieved DEFF to PROPAGANDA, and with

that in mind, we realize just how much
the long lost PUDWERX really meant for
the group.

LEAVES AFL FOR AVANTGARDE!

As mentioned elsewhere, AVANTGARDE
gained some new personalities again to
their family. SKINHEAD and SKID ROW
entered from ALPHA FLIGHT and it is with
great expectations we will study this
duo and observe what contributions they
have up their sleeve for the group.
Early January, DEFF also announced the
entrance of ELIMINATOR and SUICIDE, to
us fairly unknown capabilities, but that
most definatley will serve a purpose in
the new era of AVANTGARDE anno 1995.

For those attending TRIBUTE, we at PRO-
PAGANDA can reveal that SUICIDE visited
the event, steadily by the side of JACK
ALIEN wearing flowerpants. And for the
record contributed with one of the
sexiest looking intros we've seen in all
1995, so far. The best of luck to the
foursome.

FIXING - THE EUROPEAN JOB
___________________________
With most groups having adapted to a
fairly slow American system, so did
AVANTGARDE. Recently, both JACK ALIEN
and SKINHEAD finally got hold of their
longawaited NTSC-machines, meaning an-
other European group will be fixing the
wares on location in Europe. This not
only increases the competition between

the various labels, but also puts great-
er pressure on the group.

SHARING BOARDS
________________
Having been boardless since the decline
of THE FORUM and TERMINAL OBSESSION, it
was clear AVANTGARDE needed a new board
serving purpose as climax in a digital
spiderweb. DIVINE ULTIMATUM was said to
reappear not long ago, a board that
AVANTGARDE were prepared to share with
GENESIS*PROJECT. CHAMELEON, sysop of the
board faced difficulties in the launch
and GENESIS*PROJECT, the group, passed,
away. Today, many exhausting negoti-
ations later, AVANTGARDE decided to team
up with their brotherhood group F4CG on
DREAMPARK, another old board, that act-

ually made its way back to the top after
the second launch.

EXCLUSIVE WITH EMPIRE?
________________________
A rumour that has circulated on the
market speaks of an exclusive deal made
with EMPIRE, a rumour that would result
not only in exclusive fixing for AVANT-
GARDE, but also the sharing of the
board. We find it improbable with most
members of the American fame are to be
considered gone, while AVANTGARDE seems
to have boosted energy into a European
fixingmentality. INTERTRADE, at its end
a board for GENESIS*PROJECT in the a
latter phase among other names has been
mentioned suitable for the job.

STEVE - STILL HIDING IN THE UK?

Many of you considered it sad seeing
STEVE vanishing from the market again.
Love proved stronger, and STEVE was said
to head for the states, for the love of
his life. A becoming wife. However, to-
day it has been rumoured he was spotted
elsewhere in the United Kingdom, and
much speaks for the fact that he never
actually left the country.

Observing CHROMANCE lately has been no-
thing but frightening. The Hungarian
were said to be going through a rather
sticky phase with veterans like MR.WAX
and JAZZY D heading for the army. At one
point, SPLATTERHEAD strolled along and
saw to it to put the group back on
strong and steady grounds. For him,
CHROMANCE was a onenight stand, and with
him leaving, many followed his example
and set off for new destinations, away
from a sinking ship.

DROPPING LIKE FLIES

SPLATTERHEAD was the first to trigger
a rather painful event in the history of
the group. Heading for TRC*SCS, a Dutch
group that would serve a much better
purpose for him, CHROMANCE was pretty
much left off for its own destiny.
SPLATTERHEAD had been the new machine
for the group.

"Who's in and who's not? I don't know
anything!", states a confused HOMEBOY
on DOWN BY LAW(EX.TALENTHQ) during the
hazardous, slightly caotic days.

Only a few days later, he was spotted on
location taking on the ONSLAUGHT flag,
mind you, still pointing out to have one
foot left in CHROMANCE. If this serves
any purpose, is desputable, however.

STAKE was the next one to leave the
the Hungarian based label, believing
the glory days were in the past. STAKE
also took on the flag of ONSLAUGHT,
supposedly also now fixing games for
them.

F4CG opened the new year strongly and
continued to rock the boat that they
started rocking way back. The addition
of the members from the departured G*P
did their share of the job and proved
to be a lucky strategy, while the other
F4CG-members kept up a boost at a the
pace they are used to. Apart from the
Swedish section, some problems in call-
ing out occured, especially concerning
SOLAR, organizer, but still he kept up
a hight spirit all through the time.

The addition of a board, though still
only on a 12 hours basis, put them back
on a successfully working communication
apart from the one taking place on
Internet.

COOPERATION RUMOURS

Words travel fast, and when announcing
to the public that AVANTGARDE agreed to
share DREAMPARK with the group, it did
not take long until rumours about a
global cooperation started to spread.
Some were speaking of a total cooper-
ation, while others spoke of an co-
operation based on firstreleases only.

HOOKING UP TO THE TREND
_________________________
As the other groups study and learn the
fine arts of fixing games to American
standards, so do F4CG. It is however
not yet clear who will practice on the
NTSC machine in stock, but much speaks
for either Polish HAIN or Italian BIT-
MAN taking on the task. Also, a rather

unusual fixer was connected to the group
from Moscow, Russia. It is not yet sure
whether when and if he will bring on
his efforts, but we at PROPAGANDA cannot
help finding it rather ironic at one
point; a Russian fixing for the Yanks!

THE RELEASING STRUGGLE

Through the firstreleasingbonanza that
F4CG brought on recently, one game, or
shall I say Preview caused minor con-
fusion. SCS*TRC claimed that a user in
F4CG uploaded the original to their
board, THE DUNGEON, resulting in the
Dutch cooperation putting the game out,
still doing so on the TROEP+GARBAGE

budgetlabels. However, the version put
out was still not the official one,
featuring an intro that was never to
be used, added to less gameplay. The
official preview, without the intro,
and with the official gameplay features
was put out a few hours later by F4CG
to set things straight again. Questions
have occured why the coooperation de-
cided to put out game on their budget-
lables but nothing has been stated.

A SIGN OF LIFE - ON PAPER!

Much appreciated and awaited papermag-
azine PIRATES now finally seems to be
overcoming the problems with getting

published. The last issue seen, was
published at RADWAR V6.0 early January,
and has since then received critical
acclaim throughout. In the works of the
new issue, it is now clear that SOLAR,
maineditor took on NEWSCOPY as a helping
hand in terms of editing, and the print-
ing itself will take place in Sweden.
Much speaks for similar paperquality to
the one used on the TRIBUTEinvitations,
to give you a hint of what to expect.
The official releasedate is at current
time set for release at the SCS*TRC and
FOCUS party, X'95 in Holland, late
April this year.

HARDCORE popped up after having been
rumoured for quite a while, and I be-
lieve many of us were expecting a slight
sensation at their launch. However, the
arrival of the group was more dramatic
out of their own view, than for us.
Problems with members, being in or not,
and a rather shy release, though fixed
by old American fame GLORY. 1995 came
along a bit better, but still HARDCORE
functions as one of the average first-
releasing labels.

THE BOARD FUZZ
________________
A while back the group published off-
icial information of the people and con-
cept behind the group, and among other
things, an American headquarter was
promised to see light of day. HARDCORE
CAFE was the name, but lately there is
much doubt this will occur. The board,
actually being INTERTRADE(EX.G*P), was
taken under consideration by the duo
THE MINISTRY, who was in contact with
the sysop, MIZAR, when GENESIS*PROJECT
left off. When teaming up with HARDCORE
the deal seemed to finally see light of
day, and we expected to finally actually
see some from the group calling out.

Sadly, THE MINISTRY saw a brighter
light shinining at the ONSLAUGHT office
thus leaving the German based project
behind.

happened. Still, it's not all that
much wares to me, and though I'm still
running on some old INTERTRADE-screens
the board now goes under MENACE 2

SURPRISINGLY STRONG RELEASE

From out of nowhere it seemed, but one
of the stronger games actually made its
way through the HARDCORE label, being
FLUMMI'S QUEST. By many stated as a cute
platformaddiction with potential. How-
ever, as we investigate the case further
it appears that SKELETOR, the cracker
behind the scenes has a past under an
old label, GOD of DYNAMIX, someone the
group speaks highly of. We welcome him
back and hope for more surprises yet to
come. Also BLOCKBUSTER has returned
after 2 years of dead silence, and with
that they hope to have him out on the
lines in the not too far distant.

EXPECTATIONS FROM THE CROWD

HARDCORE also announced the release of
their magazine ZENSORED, a project that
yet has not seen light of day. In our
eyes, we do believe it has potential,
but indeed HARDCORE have to establish
themselves as a more active factor out
in the field to cover what goes on.

So finally it happened. A new group that
proved just as strong as the very upper
section of the utter top. Behind the
project rests many veterans, but mainly
the concept rests at the hands of the
two Australian talents JAZZCAT and
VENGENANCE. With the official debut
publishing a memberlist boasting veter-
ans, talents and newcomers, announcing
three boards and setting off with quite
a steady boost of releases we gather
a star is born. Shining bright.

STEALING TALENT

TALENT is to be considered as one of
the largest groups in modern time, but
the past 2 years proved to be somewhat
hazardous. With BOD lacking capabilities
to take part of the action, a lot was
lost, and at the birth of ONSLAUGHT,
they were clever enough to take advant-
age of the situation. DOWN BY LAW today
poses on ONSLAUGHT territory, still
being one of the very best boards up
there in the struggle. The best dial
there is, according to many. MAJESTY,
COUNT ZER0 and CHRYSAGON, all former
members of the Brittish based veteran
all followed, leaving TALENT at total

decline.

QUESTIONS FROM THE PUBLIC

All was not gold for starters though.
Man: people remained sceptic about some
members coming along from TALENT, and
accused MAJESTY just for being a symb-
olic member to increase an image, while
COUNT ZER0 gains critics for even being
in the group, actually not giving a
single penny for the 64 these days. Word
has it he's coding on the SNES for
FAIRLIGHT, and fixes releases for ON-
SLAUGHT just for the mere fact of get-
ting cards. The Organization denies
this fact.

ONSLAUGHT SAYS: A LOT TO COME

When PROPAGANDA hears from VENGEANCE,
he claims the group has a lot to offer,
and the debut was releasewise, shall we
say, impressive. At a point when the
scene focuses on 3 top-groups that com-
pete at a deadly pace, ONSLAUGHT actua-
lly joined in the race in perfect harm-
ony. VENGEANCE also edits the popular
VANDALISM magazine, that will follow
under the new label.

TWO MAGAZINES

JAZZCAT, on his behalf will still be

publishing DOMINATION on an independant
basis. With 2 magazines, with a vital
connection to one group, one fears that
ONSLAUGHT will take advantage of the
situation to perform propaganda for the
group. However, we do have to put more
faith into these people than that, and
that they'll will continue to serve
the job as an observer and reporter with
one keyword in mind; respect for the
purpose.

Now this is a cooperation that runs
through veteran veins. After some months
on slight decline, SCS*TRC came on
strong, incredibly strong triggering
releases at a steady phase. The addi-
tion of SPLATTERHEAD and an activity
on NIGHTSHADE'S behalf saw to it the
Dutch established releases that knocked
off socks. With CBA, the cooperation
adapts to the future, establishing a
broad circuit of concentration on
Internet. Valuable for us indeed.

MOREN NOT PLEASED
___________________
Though the entrance of SPLATTERHEAD,
also taking LORD CRUCIFIER with him,
has to the public been nothing but a
wise move. However, MOREN has been
having problems with the addition, and
was spotted on the boards exposing his
public displeasure.

"I do not understand why they are
in, and I do not like it. I wouldn't
say they are in SCS*TRC but in
TRC*SCS."

Way back in February 1994, when both
SPLATTERHEAD and LORD CRUCIFIER teamed
up with GENESIS*PROJECT, he was not
late to comment the twosome. "Take my
advice and get rid of them quickly", be-
lieving the two didn't quite match the
ordinary Dutch qualities. However, with
the success in mind, an internal, slight
growl is highly improbable to harm the
cooperation, and with that in mind, it
is also convenient that not much will
elapse on what we'd normally consider as
a hazardous factor.

CBA DOES THE FTP-BOOGIE

Not long ago, CBA announced the latest
in the Internetfashion for us humble

sceners. Today, we're facing a fact
where an impressive amount of people
from the 64-field have possibilities
connecting to Internet. SCS*TRC were
not late to realize this, and with a
filearea opening, representing what
we'd basically find on the American
boards, we're going into a new dimension
of the modem-market. The success has
not made itself heard yet, but with time
in mind, it is rather clear that it will
soon, providing people with wares.
People you'd normally not find on the
American boards, people you'd find on
the boards. We're covering a new field
here, and a new field it is.
