Charts have in my eyes, almost always
been the part of a magazine I've chosen
just to quickly glance through. Only a
few months back, I'd get frustrated and
annoyed due to people ignorance voting.

People learn. People learn, that they
cannot vote for groups that have not
accomplished anything decent the past
million years. People learn, though it
takes time.

Never before have I seen so accurate
crackingcharts. I'm both proud and happy
about seeing us reflect the scene in
such a proper way.

AVANTGARDE has grabbed a firm grip
around the market, and the market has
not been slow in apprehending whatever
that may have concluded. It is also
much worth talking about, realizing an
old flame has managed to climb the
delicate stairway of digital crime.
F4CG has been a group that has remained
fairly silent the past 2 years, but with
an intense burst of creativity, F4CG
is aiming at the very top.

I dislike saying it, but I'm glad people
do not vote for LEGEND in the top-3,
a group depending on qualities they had
over 3 years ago. Judging from the votes
for this issue, LEGEND might very well
be thrown out from the top-1O next time.
Dancing on the edge, and indeed they do.

The top-3 at this time is pretty obvious
but ALPHA FLIGHT are itching the at the
spots with their hands, not only capable
of entering, but in fact almost doing
so.

It is my firm belief that compe-
tition will increase from this very day.

We are dealing with a delicate situation
where groups at the top are very strong.
There is a wide circuit of groups that
can get games quickly, and with that
in mind, there are potential struggles
at the top, where we as an observing
market only can enjoy an expansion
qualitywise. Indeed, this is a new era
in the Commodore 64-market. New Soft-
ware companies have popped up, new
talents and new wills. The Commodore
64 is not on decline. No, the Commodore
64 is an 8-bit miracle. And it will
never fade.

Board Charts

Boardwise, a lot has happened as well,
and more will indeed happen. THE DUNGEON
is without doubt the ultimate Number One
seen from the observers eyes. TD had a
rather rough start, but as G*P, and now
TRC+SCS did their job in attracting
people, the board eventually picked up.

It is sad with THE FORUM having gone
down, as of just a few days ago, and
with that, a lot of the boardculture
seems to have stagnated. Many people
talk of a new breed of boards, and I
for one know, there will be new and
old systems up for the public within
the not too far distant.

THE SHAOLIN TEMPLE did leave a hole as
it was taken down, but it will be back
up again, do not fear.

It is interesting, that for the first
time we have a European board up on our
charts. Normally, I would not even con-
sider it, but as WARE'S AQUARIUM has
gained such marevellous popularity, not
due to being a FAIRLIGHT-board, but
being a splendid system, in all, it
much deserves the place it has reached.

TUNNEL OF WARES is dropping quickly
since it changed owner and number. Much
also speaks for DOWN BY LAW dropping the
next few weeks. Time will, however, tell
wonderful tales to us.

Importing Charts

The American market is the pure laugh
of itself. There are plenty of talents
but noone is really accomplishing any-
thing worth notifying, apart from,
PUDWERX/AVANTGARDE maybe. The Europeans
may very well grab a firm grip around
this chart as well. EMPIRE have put out
some fixes the past few weeks, but it
is discussable whether it is just a one-
man show, being MERCENAIRY responisble
for everything, now that the others are
too lazy to do anything.

Funny, I still get letters from lots of
Americans who want games from us. The

American scene has been so ignorant in
the distribution, they choked their own
market. I don't see why, when there are
still people crying for software.

Voting - Your voice through us

It is arguable whether it is a joy
voting for groups. However, it is evi-
dent doing so, knowing YOU can actually
affect the scene, the market and the
opinions.

People are sloppy these days. People are
lazy and all to all very childish. They
do not care much about the subculture

we live in, and by doing so, not pro-
viding ANYTHING to this scene. From
issue 15 we'll be having votesheets
spread around the globe, and we still
urge everybody to vote at the boards.

Your voice through us can be heard.
So why don't you scream?
