the scenes of a dear friend. I feel
it's your right to know what lurks
behind the shadows of this noble
creature. Ladies and gentlemen,

- DESCRIBE YOURSELF BRIEFLY, AS
YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF AND GIVE
US A SLIGHT PERSONAL FOCUS.

Real name is Joakim, which is close
related to my handle, a nickname. Born
and grown up in the southern parts of
sweden, in a town called Helsingborg.
Am 19 years old, and had my final year
in school one year ago. Wouldnt want to
describe myself as the classic computer-
freak, as i have a great sociallife
aswell. Have been on this scene for
quite a while now, and will never leave
either. I am one of the organizers in
G*P, and one of the 2 guys responsible
for the hacking and outcalling possi-
bilities, which is not as easy as it
seems, as Sweden has the most advanced
telesystem in the world.

- NOW, STEP BACK IN TIME, AND TAKE
US TO YOUR EARLY DAYS OF THE 64
UP TO CURRENT DATE.

In september 1985, on my 12th birthday,
I got my C128, which is the same one
I'm using today. I was stunned by
all those games, and quickly became the
biggest game collector among the kids.
By that time, everyone was using Tape-
Recorders, as Diskdrives were far too
expensive for us. However, I was already
then the biggest addict of them all, and
I got my first diskdrive at Christmas
1986. I started to code a bit, and a
couple of months later, our first local
group was born. As we had a rough time
getting originals to crack, we were
recracking all new releases we got our
hands on. When I look trough friends

diskboxes, I find those recracks all the
time.. Still, after all those years.
Time passed, and one day in School a
little guy came to me and asked me if I
wanted to swap games with him? The guy
was a total lamer, who had just bought
his C64, so I said NO immediately. This
little guy just couldn't give it up, and
some months later he asked me if I
wanted to learn him to code. I told him
a few instructions, and said something
cocky just to get rid of him. Something
like "Come back when your abilities
reach the standards of mine"...ehrm.
This guy remembered those words very
well. He later became SKYFLASH/ONEWAY,
one of the best UtilityCoders ever.
Later on, in the end of 1987, I sort of
teamed up with Skyflash, who had already
gotten himself a name as a coder, and

had entered a pretty decent group. As
our local Re-crackergroup had died, I
also wanted to join. Skyflash asked me
about my abilities. I could only code a
little but now my abilities were faaar
away from his. I entered that group as a
Musician, believe it or not. Made a
couple of terribly lame tunes, that
weren't even used in our own demo. The
group broke up after a few months, and
time passed without me wanting to join
any group at all. Had some quick visits
in groups I do not want to mention, and
went independant again. Had a great
socialLife which I cared for much more
than my computercareer, and all i did
between the years 1988-1991 was visiting
every single copyparty. I knew almost
everyone, and they knew who I was, and
that was it. In the spring of 1991 some

of my closest friends who were active
left Light to rebuild Vision again.
The leader of Vision, Status, called me
up and asked me if i knew a good Modem-
Trader, to spread their releases by
modem. As I was deep into modeming since
a year back I told him, that I could do
the job for them. A couple of weeks
passed, and he asked me if I wanted to
join. I said no, as I didnt want to join
any group at all.. He kept on calling me
up, asking me over and over again, and
sometime in the summer I joined, as a
co-leader and the one who was respons-
ible for all the trading. I fixed a
board for Vision, Illusion of Reality,
and the Sysop along with his Co-sysop
joined. The Co-Sysop was none else than
the editor of this humble magazine,
NEWSCOPY. The board had a very slow

period, mainly cause PARADIZE was in the
same area, and I called up the leader,
telling him that I wanted to kick out
the board, the sysop, and the guy I did
not even know who was called NEWSCOPY.
Status, the leader didnt like my idea,
and thought we should keep it anyway,
and so we did. During the summer we were
able to BlueBox from sweden, and I told
the GroupMembers on the board, that I
could teach them how to. Newscopy called
me up one afternoon, and asked me if I
could tell him how to use it. I told him
, and suddenly I started seeing him
everywhere. We talked on the phone
daily, and quickly teamed up as the duo
we still are today. In the spring of
1992, I and Motley, who had also joined
after the fall of his former group,
hacked ourselves into one of the

Swedish Telecoms biggest NetWorks, which
made us along with Newscopy able to call
out daily for 6 months. Newscopy got in
contact with a guy called Skinhead, who
wanted to start up a new group. We liked
the idea, and the memberstatus, so we
formed it almost at once. Motley and the
others in Vision were very disappointed,
which worried us a bit. We almost had
quarrels in the group about the name,
and it ended up with CALADAN. We releas-
ed a game, and suddenly we were in F4CG?
, without half of us knowing about it.
I called Mystic Cavern, as usual, and
Debbie started to chat with me. She
asked me to join GENESIS. I told her
that I needed to talk to Newscopy first,
but they had already done that, and he
was very positive. We joined, and have
been there ever since.. And will so fore

ver be for that matter. GENESIS will be
my last group, on any machine...

PROJECT. HOW DOES THE SYSTEM WORK?
WHERE ARE YOU ADDED TO THE PICTURE?

I was taken into the group as a trader,
and to make sure all the swedes could
call out. Later on, when Antichrist
couldnt put his efforts into the group
anymore, I got the role as one of the
organizers. When Murdock came back to
us, I realised I was not the trader in
Genesis at all.. It was him.

- WE KNOW YOU GOT THE SWEDISH TELECOM
AT YOUR BACK. DELIVER THE TRUE STORY.

I had hacked myself into their Networks
for the 2nd time, and had done massive
ammounts of other crimes with the phone.
I scanned 4O.OOO Tollfree#'s, and my
scanner called up their operatorservices
located at 3OOO different TollFrees.
They got pissed as hell, and traced me
for five hours. They checked up where I
had called for the past 2 months, and
found out that the numbers I had called
matched with all Tele-Crimes being
commited in Sweden the past months. The
Telecom offered me to work for them,
making their systems safer, and I did.
They told me I would not have to pay
if I did this, but they were liars!

A couple of weeks ago, I got a fee in
my postbox telling me that I had to pay
17.OOO (About $3OOO). Only time can tell
what will happen now, but I might just
end up in Prison if everything goes
wrong.

- THE SWEDISH SCENE HAS EXPERIENCED
A DECLINE, AT LEAST BOARDWISE? HOW
DO YOU, ADDICT, LOOK UPON THIS?

Almost all my friends are still on, and
all major boards except for Attraction
and the Testure are still there, so I do
not worry at all... Groups are lazy,
but that is pretty normal these days.

Definately! I have awful amounts of
friends on the scene, mostly in Sweden.
Most of them are friends of mine since

years back, and some of them have been
there ever since I more or less entered
this scene, in 1987 (Skyflash). Worth
mentioning are: Newscopy, Skyflash,
Status, Poison, White Lion, Bluez, Yabba
Scooby, Gryzor, Oliver, Zizyphus, T.C
Rille, General, Motley, Tronic, Aaron
Walker, Scope, Zmurph, Devil, Sodapop
Joyride, Bacchus, Sledge, GoT, Majesty.

The few enemies I have are not even
worth mentioning. Barf.
