GIVE US A DESCRIPTION AND SOME PERSONAL
INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELF!

Very well.Some irrelevant facts about my
humble revelation. My first name is Per,
last name Verted. I'm 19 years of age,
though some call me senile. Wonder why
really? I meassure 187 cm, 76 kg, have
red hair, blue eyes, though my friends
say I look like GASTON(Hi Soda!).
At current time, I live in Gothenburg,
Sweden, all to all a nice place, but I
have spent a long time of my life in the
wonderful state of Virginia, USA. I'm
studying Natural Sciences, though it
really bugs me down. My one big passion
in life is women, though I'm getting to
appreciate smoking and money a lot
lately.

I didn't enjoy Wayne's World. Haha,
seriously, I don't know. Well, might
be, I'm writing a book about the scene
and it's history out of different
angles, and a pusblisher has already
shown major interest in the script so
far. There I said it! Who knows, I might
be interviewing YOU one of these days!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PAST IN THE 64 SCENE
LEADING UP TO THE TIME YOU JOINED G*P.

Fair enough. Got hold of this 8-bitter
in the early 8O's, as a follow up to my
lovely VIC 2O. I found it fabulous, but
I had no interest in anything but its
capabilities and whatever they brought.

In late '86/early '87, I ended up in
THE SILENTS, basically doing nothing of
importance but supplying. In late 1988,
I joined the German EXACT, thru my mate
Hookie/EXACT, who lived in the UK. Sad
thing was, he was my main connection in
the group, so when TCC, Delta and the
guys joined RSI on the Amiga and the
leader Fill disappeared, me and Hookie
kept it up a anyway, doing a bit of
coding here, a bit of cracking there. I
had a lot of fine friends then. Some are
left, some not. In late 1989, I got fed
up with the crap and basically quit the
scene. I kept supplying one of the major
groups with originals during my 2 years
of absence until I decided I was hungry
for the cake again. In 1991, I returned,
somehow ended up in JOY DIVISION but it
proved a mistake. I got to know Sodapop

through his board and a few others of
importance. When VISION was rebuilt, I
was asked to join and I accepted. In VSN
I met Jucke, whom I teamed up with and
became a rapid friend. Somehow, I met up
with Skinhead, and we decided to form
Caladan, in my eyes a project bound to
die from the start, so I brought myself
to my senses and ended up in G*P where
I found the best of friends. Sadly
enough, I barely crack nowadays. I
figure it was so long ago, I probably
couldn't match today's leading talents
anyway. However, these are the days
worth living. A very shortened outline.

DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL GIRL IN YOUR LIFE
AND IF SO, HOW DOES SHE REACT TO YOUR
SCENE-ACTIVITIES?

That would have to be mom then!She cooks
me dinner, cleans up my mess and never
backstabs me! Haha. Nah,seriously at the
moment I'm single. But I firmly believe
I would have to compromise if I had a
steady relationship going, but of course
not letting one of my hobbies down the
drain.However,you never know.I met this
gorgeous girl a couple of weeks ago. I
might end up doing something I wouldnt
want to. Hopefully not.

WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU EVER DID

I don't know really. The list keeps
growing by the minute, and no particular

occurence comes to mind. One of the
strangest things however, would be
at my birthday, when my friends took
me out and forced me to say 'I'd like
to fuck you hard' to A NOT SO lovable
woman. And she didn't even flinch! She
just nodded and wanted us to go home.
Newscopy went as red as his hair!

HOW DID YOU COME TO USE THE HANDLE
NEWSCOPY?

By golly, it is a stupid name, isn't
it? I met my destiny, taking shape of
Clark Gable, but I figure that handle
wasn't cool enough. And neither was
Ronald Reagan.

IF YOU HAD AN UNLIMITED AMOUNT OF
MONEY FOR ONLY ONE DAY, WHAT WOULD YOU
USE IT ON?

Buy off and corrupt the whole goddamn

scene. Isn't that all it's about? And
perhaps I might add some Dr.Pepper.

WHAT WAS YOUR MOST EMBARESSING MOMENT
EVER?

Might have been after a major fight,
talking out with my former girlfriend,
only to realize I was talking to her
mother on the phone. I have done worse,
but you wouldn't want to know.

WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS ASIDE FROM
THE SCENE?

Hopefully sticking around until the very
end, and getting up the project on the
Famciom/Super NES in the not too far
distant. Furthermore, I hope to get my
Amigamusic sold soon, and get that going

on the SuperNES as well.

WHAT'S YOUR OPINION OF THE U.S/CANADIAN
IMPORTING GROUPS?

Well, they used to be the gamehorny guys
a few years ago, but opinions changed,
and the Euro's are the ones itching for
1streleases. The Yanks are all to all
nice, but it's sad seeing so few groups.
I'd love seeing more competitors.

WHO ARE YOUR MOST LIKED AND RESPECTED
PEOPLE IN THE SCENE?

My best friends, still at the scene
would be Sodapop, Jucke, Tronic, Oliver,
Skinhead, Gerwin/FLT, Cash/Vision
God of Thunder, Solar, Chameleon and
YOU. I respect the ones who are capable

of keeping up their names and projects
with pride and dignity.

AND MOST DISLIKED?

I don't like putting a stamp on people,
but I've met a few complete assholes
during the years. The other day, I
found out that one of my best friends(!)
far back, Razor/Oneway backstabbed me
ages ago. I hate dishonesty.
