well, this time i've got a quite
interesting little story from guy known
as RED DEVIL of fairlight.

red devil had write this on swedish and
wanted me to translate it into english.
i hope that i done that job good enough,
emil. thank you for sending me this nice
article.. as allways you'll find my
comment after the article...

ok, here we go:

something has happend to the music on
the c64. i mean the tunes that compet at
tcc'93. some of them were realy good and
the creators of the tunes had worked
hard for a long time to get some cool
effects. that's how it should be,
because it's an art to create good music
on the c-64. but, what meaning is it to
SAMPLE a tune and compete in a music-
competition? it isn't a sample-compo..
best sample=first price? no, that's not
how it should be, because it's not a
damn d.j-competition!! it's okey to
sample a drum-sound, but to sample a
whole tune and mix it.. that's something
i just can't understand! it's maybe
difficult to do nice samples but that
has NOTHING to do with real music and
has NOTHING to do in a music-competition
because most of the others make their
own tunes with the music-chip of the
c-64. we also know that ED, joe and
creeper is no musicer. they are probably
just trying to get some extra money to
sample and mix popular tunes. not that i
have something against these guys, i
just took them as an example and i know
that there was a few more guys that
compete with sampled tunes.
no, i DON'T blame the guys that sampled,
but those guys that had the competition!
i think that it's time to put in some
rules against samplings.. if it continue
like this, i know, that'll be no music-
competition in the future, that'll be a
mix- and sample-competition..

if someone wonders so is red devil a
musician in fairlight.. and now i gonna
put in a short comment, a question from
another musician, taken from a note to
me. he's known as ZYRON of antic:

why is you allowed to use digitalized
music, when you are NOT allowed to use
digitalized pictures..??

COMMENT from bumboo: well, i don't know
if i have something to add because i
think that red devil is absolutely right
in allmost every word he wrote!! there's
only one point were i think he's wrong
and that's when he wrotes that's it okey
to use a sampled drum-sound. i think it
should be absolutely NO samples in the
tunes. of course you can use sampled a
drum-sound in your tune when you don't
compete but when it's competition then
should everyone compete with the SAME
POSSIBILITIES!! then you can see which
composer that have the best tune!!
this is the absolutely fairest way to
have a competition and know i, red devil
and zyron, and i guess most of the other
scene-folx, exhort you guys that have
competition to FORBID samples!!

i guess most of you guys heard about how
mad p.r.i was and how he acted?!
he wrote "I HATE DIGIZ" with banana-
cream on a table before he left the
tcc-party! maybe it was childish done by
p.r.i but he was right! because he was
one of the guys that competed in a fair
way, and i can understand his anger when
some untalented guys come and take lots
of votes from him and the other guys
that uses the real way of compusing.
luckely there was only one sampling that
entered the top three.. unluckely ed was
the number one.. did see/heard that ed
tried to give his MONEY that he got from
the music-competition to p.r.i?
p.r.i didn't want them so ed took them
anyway. but why did ed wanted to give
the money to p.r.i? i can only think of
two reasons and the first and the most
credible theory is that ed didn't want
to look totally lame to the others so he
by giving the money to p.r.i should look
like he didn't think that he, ed, was
worth the money. the other theory has
something to do with ed's SEXUAL
disposition.. as i wrote earlier the
first theory is more believable..!!
or maybe it was a love present from ed
to p.r.i..? but as p.r.i refused to take
ed's money i guess ed's feelings to
p.r.i wasn't equivalent!

hmm, now my comment have been longer
than red devil's article so i guess i'll
stop here. what has ed's sexuality to do
with red devil's article?
nothing, like you see this chapter is
not serious anymore.. so i'll only give

article that you want to be published in
this mag. you can write about anything
that YOU think is worth to write about..
