howdy! feel welcome to a new issue of
JAMAICA. i think you have been waiting
too long for this issue. but under some
reasons we(i) managed to delay this
issue too.

this issue was ment to be ready in
late AUGUST. but the summer came and
we got lazy. i didn't use my compy for
3 weeks because i visited some relatives
and when i came back i had a pile of
discs to check. and that was the death
punch i think. it was too many sendings
in my room and i lost the control a bit.
at that time i didn't have the idea to
this outfitt. but then i visited my old
friend NOY/cyberdyne. and at his place
we looked in some mags(on amiga). so it
was at his place i found the idea to
this issue. a little rip of from RAW!
i hope you like it. after some more
lazyness i started to code. i thought to
have a second menu for the musics but as
you see. i didn't manage to make it. so
the music choosing is a bit INTERNAL
styled.

but i hope you like the outfitt and
that you will enjoy all 21 chapters.
which should have been 23 if i didn't
spoil the music menu!

next time we might have more chapters
for you. but remember that i shall
always try to make this mag one sided.
as i think 2 sided is too big and too
hard to get good spread.

after all is this issue not a
revolutionary issue. as SCRIPT, SPLASH,
NITRO and lots of other mags is bigger,
if you count in bytes. one thing that
would be new and all would vote on is
if you make a mag with text on 3 disc-
sides. wouldn't that be cool? no! too
hard to spread. just look at all
reactions in NITRO#12. nobody seems to
like 2 sided mags. that's why we try to
make this mag just on one side.

over to something else. what do you
think about the FUTURE of the 64?? this
is a subject that the editors of several
mags have been talking about. my theory
is that as long as we are USING the 64
we will keep the scene alive. it doesn't
matter if we release a megacool demo or
a lame demo. just as long as we are
doing anything. look at the eastern part
of europe. there we have alot of new
groups. and i think they won't quit the
first day.

a short thing about bumboo's editorial.
i fully agree with him about STATIC. why
release that demo the truth. first i
thought it was cool but now i don't.
remember that static was in gothic WHOLE
93. as i don't know static personally i
will not spend more words about this
subject.

ready for a little story? it was
TABASCO who told me it in one of his 100
phone calls the latest month. i wrote
it down and translated it to english but
it was tabasco who told it to me. so
credit him (did i rip it?)

it's friday and you are coming home from
your school/work. one of the sendings
is from one of your cool contacts in jam
and it's containing the latest issue of
JAMAICA. namely this one, issue#6. as
you like jamaica you will as fast as
possible send it out to your contacts
and tell them how cool this mag is. as
a friendly dude you send atleast an a4
paper with text to everyone of your
contacts. this time it was just 100
sendings. on sunday moring you are ready
to post the sendings. now you have been
up and copying discs since friday
evening. the whole weekend just to copy
discs. you take a little sleepbrake and
wake up at 16.00. after the little sleep
you go to the post and post all sendings
this time you just fill up one and a
half mailbox. not like when you spread
your mag. that time you filled three
boxes. you go home for a long sleep.
on monday you read the local newspaper.
there it stands:

MAILBOX BOMBED!

after reading some more you recognise
that it's the same box that you posted
your mail in.

this must be the swappers NIGHTMARE!
let it never happend to me.

now pop the popcorn, make coffe, relax
in your chair, plug in your favourite
joystick. and just enjoy this edition
of jamaica.
