      about red devil of fairlight

+ handle & group ?

- red devil of fairlight

+ real name ?

- emil helldin

+ birthdate

- 2/6 1976

+ give us a small introduction of your-
  self! (age, country, personal facts,
sparetime, other interests and so on)

- i'm 17 years old and i live in sweden.
i have red hair and blue eyes, about
1.78 cm tall and my weight is 70 kg.
my parents are divorced so i live with
my mom and my little sister. i study
in a economy class, but i must admit
that i don't like it at all. when i
i don't sit infront of my computer i
  i'm practicing tae kwon-do. sometimes
i play paintball with my friends. it's
a cool thing to do but it's so fucking
expensive. but most of the time i use
  my dear commodore 128!

+ how did it all start?

- when commodore released the c-128 back
in 1985, my father bought it at once.
i started to play some games, but
three years later my father sold it
to buy a amiga 2000... the game
  playing continued. some more time
passed, and i bought my own amiga 500.
tabasco always complained on me for
having amiga, so in 1991 i sold the
amiga to get my present c-128.

+ when did you enter the scene, and in
which groups have ya been ?

- when i had the amiga 2000 i came in
touch with tabasco/jam (he was called
mac at that time). i joined scu which
  consisted of tabasco and another
fellow... we where too lame to do
anything on our own, but we gained
a couple of coders and renamed to jam.
i now realized that the c64 was the
ruling computer, and i recived some
  new music editors from exalt/antic.
i now started to compose and i really
liked it! when jam released their
first demo i had made two tunes for it
and i was really proud. i learned more
  about composing and before jam
released 'deja vu' i left them to join
the fairlight forces. there where two
reasons for that. one of the coders in
jam called tjost never used my music
and i always had thought that flt was
a really cool group. almost the same
day i saw an advertisement in a
disk magazine (where else?) that flt
needed musicians. so, i sent some
tunes to bacchus and he told me that
  i could join.

+ what is your memberstatus and job in
  your current group ?

  avalon........................musician
  spirou..................cracker,coder,
                    sysop of future zone

+ how did you get your handle ?
  please tell us the story!

- on one of my summer holidays i was on
a boat... the sun was shining very
hard, and my whole body got sunburned.
i was red all over the body and i had
a terrible pain. i have red hair and
now also my skin was red. tabasco
called me "din r0de jevul" and if you
translate that to english that will
  be RED DEVIL!

+ i like that! my girl alsohave red hair
so i call her "r0de baest" or in eng-
  lish "red beast"!!!

- that must be all fairlight'ers i have
  met, all jam'ers & achilles/acrise.
  acidchild, avalanche, the syndrom,
slide and poeba is some of my very
  good contacts.

+ well that was the faves, and among 'em
  was favourite friends.
what about dudes you hate/dislike in
  the scene. ?
if you got some please tell us who -
and why you don't like them !

- hmmm, i don't hate or dislike any
  person in the scene.

+ what is your plans for the future ?
both in the scene and in private !

- in the scene i will continue to
compose music and swap with my friends
for a looong time! this is real life!

+ when the c64 dies(hopefylly many years
from now !!!!) what will you do then ?
jump to the (l)amiga or pc. ?
or simply quit the whole compy-scene?

- i will buy a pc, but i don't know if
i wan't to be in the scene.

+ please tell me what a lamer is in your
  opinion ?

- a re-cracker, ripper, thief or boaster

+ what do you think about the -
  'elite contra lame' thing ?

is there anything we can do about it?

- i think that almost every group on the
c64 is elite. some people think that
they are so much more elite than
  others, and i hate it.

+ about your contacts
           -------------------

+ do ya have a lot of contacts ?
(how many - name a few.)

- i have 31 contacts at the moment and
i don't wan't to have more! it takes
too much time to swap and i like to
do some more music! ok. here you
  have a few: acidchild, avalanche,
  the syndrom, slide, poeba, robocop,
sleepwalker, doxx & franky plus some
  other cool guys.

+ do you prefer legal stuff or cracks
or mayby both from your contacts.

- i prefer legal, but illegal is okey
  too.

+ do you use cheated stamps ?

- yep...

+ why ?

- it costs to much. i'm still going to
school, tell me one person who has
  been rich on that...

+ about demos : do ya like 'em ?
is there to many or to few ?

- of course i like them! that's why we
still have a scene on this computer.
i think that it's to few of them and
it would be cooler if there where
some more demo releases between the
  party's!

+ and the same for mags ?

- magazines are good. every group
should have one. there is only one
situation when i hate magazines and
  that's when i have a votesheet infront
of me and there's 74 categories to
  vote for!

+ if you had the opportunity to build up
a new group - which persons would you
  like to join ?

- bacchus, tron, ogami, oxidy,
jeroen tel, tabasco, biz kid(yep) and
  black priest.

               brainstorm!
               -----------

+ what do you say when i say :

+ group :

- fairlight(!)

+ coca cola :

- hacker wasser

+ friendship :

- it rules

+ c-64 :

- rules even more

+ girls :

- pretty ones

+ lameness :

- lazyness

+ beers :

- tastes good

+ magazines :

- vote, vote, vote

+ groupwars :

- funny to watch

+ demos :

- legoland 3

+ parties :

- mega dunk-dunk techno

+ interviews :

- yeahhhh

+ and last ' skyhigh ' :

- i wonder why there's so many empty
lines here??? ok, i really like it!

+ ok we are close to the end now.

so now you got the opportunity to say
  what's on your mind.
  the word is free !

- ok, i will write some words about the
scene. the c-64 has two paintprg that
  almost everyone use. there's amica
  and fli-graph. every graphician
competes on the same basis. also the
coders competes on the same basis (if
you not code in basic, hehe). but
there is a very high amount of music
editors and almost every good editor
is not spreaded. some musicians can
make their tune 10 speeded now and get
real cool instruments. i don't mean
that you must spread your own coded
editor but i want you to think about
  this. strange!

at copy-party's alot of guys competes
with their contribution. but read this
and think about it: you cant contribut
with a digi piccy. there is rules
against that. but evidently you are
allowed to contribute with digi tunes
  (like tcc'93). that's wrong...

+ yeah emil i think you are damn right!
i myself find it wrong to compete with
digis. and about music; again you are
right some people doesn't have the op-
portunity to compete at the same level
because of the editors. but i guess
  that's life!!

is there some guys ya wanna greet or
tell something then better do it now .

- i have already done that.

+ allright dude.that's it.
we reached the end of this interview.

i want to thanx you a lot for taking
the time to help me with this.

  thanx a lot homie  !!!!

- my pleasure... cu l8er folks!

----------------------------------------

allright ya'll. try to choose the music
made by red devil himself. the only way
to get the real deal!!
