In AGAINST THE WALL we will not be
doing boring, ordinary interviews. We
have seen enough of people's careers,
favoritefood and hi's to best friends.

We will talk and confront people and
current issues. People who are in the
spotlight for happenings and changes
will answer the questions we ask. It
is our belief this is much more in-
teresting for the people who take part
of the scene.

  Interesting organizer
  divorcing an effective
  cooperation and going
through a phase of changes.
     +---------------------------+

WHY DID THE COOPERATION SPLIT UP
       BETWEEN YOU AND HARDCORE?

Co-op split basically because as the
both groups were growing, it became
harder and harder for the ONSLAUGHT
guys to call every member in both
groups. Therefore our group was missing

the attention that it needed, all in
all causing a sort of a break. To break
the co-op seemed the simple answer to
a large problem, and of course if we had
tosee the co-op die to continue ON-
SLAUGHT going, we would again do the
same thing.

                   *

WORD HAD IT, HARDCORE WERE CONSIDERED
        TOO LAZY. IS THIS TRUE?

HARDCORE weren't too lazy. In fact, they
were the perfect partners in many
respects, although communication in
the group lacked a little. They
supplied at least half of the wares,
they cracked half the wares...they
for sure did their share (well at

least some of them) It would have been
nice seeing them run wares to look
after their own situation.

                   *

    FUTUREWISE, WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?

Well, basically ONSLAUGHT is goine to
go through a little bit more of a
membership change, maybe some in-
teresting faces will face the axe.
But myself personally, I plan on full
steam ahead. Our legal section is very
strong now with quite a few talented
guys. So the main emphisis is working
on and getting someone to fix our re-
leases as of course this is an area
that is letting us down at the moment.

WILL VANDALISM CONTINUE BEING RELEASED?

VANDALISM to continue? Dude...the mag
will never die! It will always be con-
tinued. Has been since January 1991.
Personally, if I ever lost a great
deal of interest with it, I will just
slow down the pace and will pick it
up again when I decide enough is enough
and it is time to get active.

                   *

WHAT IS YOUR COMMENT ABOUT THE
   HAZZLE WITH AVANTGARDE "WALKERZ"?

AVT vs. ONSLAUGHT with WALKERZ? Well,
what is there to say, I don't think it
is anything major. We got beaten by a

better group. But it is pretty obvious
we had the game early as I mentioned
before the fixing is letting us down.
Fixers are essential to the future, an
area we plan to work on hard. Besides,
we are not the first group in the world
to be beaten by AVANTGARDE I think.
They work hard, and get the points.
Something that we have lacked lately
is hard work, but the pace is picking
up again. AVANTGARDE were better on
the day.

One of the people
behind the success of
relaunching the hyped
      HITMEN.
        +---------------------+

BRINGING BACK HITMEN WAS BRAVE. HOW
            COME YOU DID IT?

HITMEN once was a group consisting of
JIHAD, me and others. Later on some
friends from our city joined too! After
JIHAD went to PC and I lost interest
in running the group, HITMEN was offi-

cially dead. A friend of mine asked
if he could continue the group after
some months and I told him to do what-
ever he wanted - I didn't care anymore!
But then again, HITMEN was gone...

In the beginning of August JIHAD, PEACE-
MAKER and I were sitting in a pub, hav-
ing some beers, JIHAD told us some
stories about his PC-life and said it
was rather boring. He was missing the
real scene, so we said let's go back
to the 64. He thought a while, and
said "hmmm..why not?", and from there
we decided to rebuild HITMEN. We called
some good old friends and the members
were present. We had to organize a
board and then were were ready to start.

                   *

YOU STATED EARLIER IN ALPHA FLIGHT BEING
BORED OF THE SCENE AS WELL AS PEACE-
         MAKER. ARE YOU STILL?

Yeah, for sure me and PEACEMAKER have
been bored, but that has changed now as
I look in a different way towards the
scene today. I also have to admit that
I really have fun nowadays! Meeting once
a week, having beers discussing coding
and the like!

                   *

WHAT ARE THE FUTUREPLANS FOR HITMEN?

Our futureplans? Hmmm, we will be
fixing some decent games for sellected
groups, do some releases and we are

also working on a demosection (ed.like
everybody else!). We will establish
ourselves in the mailscene and also
cover the Eastern market!

                   *

   SHARING THE DUNGEON WITH TRC*SCS,
WE WONDER IF IT WORKS PROPERLY?

Being on THE DUNGEON together with
TRC*SCS works out properly so far, we
know the dudes for quite some time now!
You know that NIGHTSHADE was in HITMEN
some years ago...So there shouldn't be
any problems!

                   *

WHAT IS JIHAD DOING FOR THE GROUP?

JIHAD is going to call the boards to
do some public relations, also he will
take care of getting originals for us
as he still has some good connections
to several useful people. If there is
need for it, he will be cracking again,
and also he will take care of our hard-
ware if problems should occur. Of course
he will be boozing a lot together with
us. Also he is planning to show up at
the next few parties.

DOMINATORS and the magazine
         CORRUPTION.
   +-------------------------------+

WHAT TRIGGERED YOU TO REOPEN THE BBS?

Well, to be honest, when I took down
DREAMPARK in 1992, I had no intentions
whatsoever reopening it. I did not even

turn on my 64 until 1994 when people
needed help with Cyborgmodded cbase. I
was surprised to hear about the number
of people running my "joke"-version
at that point. I did a few changes for
THE DUNGEON only so they could leave
me alone. Then people started to ask
me to put DREAMPARK back up. Of course
I said no way, not in a million years,
I have too much going on in my real
life. I made the excuse that I wouldn't
put it up because I had no harddrive.
Well, to make a long story short,
CHAMELEON sent me his harddrive without
telling me first, so I was basically
obligated to put it online again.

                   *

DREAMPARK IS THE MOST POPULAR BOARD
        IN THE WORLD. HOW COME?

It is a matter of personal opinion.
I think it is the best but is only
because I want it to be. If there is
something I didn't like, I'd change it.
DREAMPARK is just my idea of the perfect
BBS, as are all BBS's to their respect-
ive sysops. I'm glad people like DREAM
PARK, it just means my opinion of a
good BBS is he same as the majority
of the users. I think it is a balanced
mix of cutting-edge software, speed and
users. Nothing more, nothing less.

Also I try not to gett involved in the
discussions too much. I think too much
sysop-involvment is bad. The BBS is for

the users and not for the sysop.

                   *

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU SPEND WITH THE
            BOARD EVERY DAY?

Well, I do not spend much time with
DREAMPARK at all, which is why it pro-
bably will be online for a long time.
There is no maintenance I ever have to
do. I created DREAMPARK with the idea
that I wanted it to run itself. For
example the BBS automatically keeps
the UD's clean. It sorts the directories
from oldest to newest alphabetiaclly.
Then after 3O days it takes files out
of the UD's and puts them into the
proper wares-archives, so they are
still available and cluttering up the

drives. But to answer your question,
I'd say roughly 2O-3O minutes per week.
Only to read mail, validate users
and occassionally scan the subs.

                   *

HAS THE SCENE CHANGED MUCH SINCE THE
             OLD DREAMPARK?

The scene hasn't really changed much,
except the decline of quality BBS's
these days. As far as the users go,
most are still around, and the ones
that are gone, have been replaced.

                   *

WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO CHANGE
            WITH DREAMPARK?

Really the only thing I would like to
change would be hardware-additions. Such
as Turbomaster CPU to increase the
speed even more and a Swiftlink so I
could put up my 14.4 modem. As far as
software, there are a few minor changes
I would like to do some day.

                   *

WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO FOR THE
               64-SCENE?

As far as I know, I don't do anything
for the 64 scene except run a quality-
BBS. In the past I have done a little

of everything. As for now, my real life
is gooing too good for me to spend time
in the 64-scene. I have give the best
I can to the 64-scene and that is
DREAMPARK. If people think I'm lame
for not doing anything else, so be it.
DREAMPARK is a far better accomplish-
ment in my opinion, than most sceners
have done.

How many people can say they nearly
single-handedly changed the 64-BBS-
standard from UCBBS? Does anyone even
run UCBBS any longer? This is now way
to rag on PUDWERX, Jason is a great guy
and the best NTSC-fixer ever. I just
think DREAMPARK has better software.
If I didn't think that, I would run
UCBBS, wouldn't I?
