Congratulations from a Colleague

Congratulations from a Colleague

Merry Christmas, and a most happy new year. It's that
time again, and everybody is walking around with
stars sparkling in their eyes, thinking about the year
that has passed, while looking towards a new year in
hope of many joyess events and good fortune. It is in
general a very exciting period of the year for all of
us, one we all hold dear - even though some grumpy
people would claim the opposite.

But despite of the Christmas ado and the bad weather
the most comfortable and cozy atmosphere, puts us
in a very nostalgic mood. This is what makes this holi
day the best of them all, and we embrace the momo-
ries only to make room for those to come in the fu-
ture. That is what characterises the ordinary person
but also the one keen on the lands of the Commodore
64.

The end of 1995 has brought us many large events in
the C64 scene, the biggest highlight being the 5th
party held in Denmark. But on more productive side,
the Christmas holidays are featured by very odd, but
still greatly celebrated events. The 3 most popular
magazines in Northern Europe, if not the world, will
present their 20th Annivesary edition in the same
period.

It does not get less odd considering VANDALISM NEWS,
and the controversial THE TRIBUNE, also passed
great milestones in their magazine history. The year
of 1995 has in general been most productive and
eventful year for the magazine industry, and due to
this, it is time for all of us, to ponder on the actual
status of what we think of as our own private media.

In the light of this happy occasion, at least for tho-
se of us that adores magazines, I have decided to
present the celebrated SKYHIGH with my most humble
respect. In recognition of the achievements the past
20 editions, that has put SKYHIGH on the map of the
most loved magazines. Although I am most crammed
for time this month, considering I am quite busy work
ing on my own magazine - which is celebrating the re-
lease of the 20th edition as well, I have found time
for my respected colleague in this business, SKYHIGH.
The events that has shaped SKYHIGH into the most
popular magazine in the world - through the eyes of
the voters, is without a doubt respected by the com-
petitors. THE PULSE is one of them.

I therefore use the opportunity, to oficially congra-
tulate my fellow colleague, BIZ KID, on a job well
done. I sincerely hope, that he will continue his work
into the future, in helping the scene to keep active -
and make the Commodore 64 a part of our lifes. I find
that to be the most important job as a C64 journalist,
and having followed SKYHIGH in its elustrious career,
I am confident he will come through for all of us.

I would have liked to present you with a nice big and
juicy article, but as stated earlier, I am in the midst
of a very important period of my own career as an
editor - therefore all my inspiration is needed else
where. I therefore hope you will join me, in the 20th
edition of THE PULSE MAGAZINE - which should be
available to you while reading this.

But meanwhile, once again, congratulations on the
20th edition to SKYHIGH - and all the people involved
in the making of it. Merry Christmas, and a happy new
year to you!

Signed,
DUKE
- on the behalf of everyone at THE PULSE MAGAZINE
