this time i trapped one of very good
friends and forced him to answer a lot
of questions. he he!!
i proudly present one of the best music-
composers in the scene : the syndrom

+ give us a small introduction of your-
  self! (age, country, personal facts,
  sparetime, other interests  and so on)

- well, i was born on 12.11.1973, that
  means, that i'm 19 years old. i live
  in the biggest scene-city, called
  dresden (there live about 15 sceners
  here!) situated in east-germany.
  i'm 1.92 m tall and i have brown eyes
  and brown hair aswell. my weight is
  78 kg.
  i like to read books (karl may),
  watch cool movies, play football and
  ofcourse deal with c64 a lot...



+ how did it all start?

- i got my c64 together with a datasette
  on 24.04.1988, which is the date of my
  confirmation...

+ when did you enter the scene, and in
  which groups have ya been ?

- i entered the "scene" around 1989,
  when i met gaston and donald at my
  school. we decided to form a group,
  and so the ecc was born. there we
  made 4 demos, which were more or less
  lame. when the german border was
  opened, we turned legal and formed
  tia, we produced 4 demos, too.
  later the members became to lazy, and
  (as you all might know) we transformed
  into a musiclabel, which is still (and
  well always be) in existance...
  all members joined 2nd groups, i
  joined sunrise first, but due to some
  misunderstandings roman, narrow,franky
  and finally i left for padua...
  but padua was (and still is?) quite
  lazy and finally i joined my alltime
  favourite group; CREST.


+ what is your memberstatus and job in
  your current group ?

- crest-memberstatus (without jobs, as
  to many are allrounders):

  crossbow,vision,maduplec,fgth,xayne,
  msk,deek,drax,vip,slice,mac,megabyte,
  bizzmo,tiger,goldrush,deekay,syndrom.

  i'm allrounder, too.


+ how did you get your handle ?
  please tell us the story!

- there is no real story. when we formed
  tia, we all had to find a handle, and
  when i was walking over dresdens most
  famous bridge, called "blaues wunder",
  i remembered a game-title called
  "alien syndrom", and i thought,
  syndrom would be good, and it is,
  isn't it? (hehe)

  what about dudes you hate/dislike in
  the scene. ?
  if you got some please tell us who -
  and why you don't like them !

- no, i don't really hate someone, i
  just try to be friendly to everybody.
  i'm just a bit angry about composers,
  who rip instruments...

+ what is your plans for the future ?
  both in the scene and in private !

- i will stay in the scene until it's
  end, and have a (ruling) time in
  crest (watch out for our next demo).
  and private life i just started my
  civil service, which will last for
  15 months, later i'll continue
  studying...

+ when the c64 dies(hopefully many years
  from now !!!!) what will you do then ?
  jump to the (l)amiga or pc. ?
  or simply quit the whole compy-scene?

- i'll don't know exactly, but i think,
  i'll leave completely. but why should
  c64 die ? we are already living beyond
  death, as most companies stopped
  producing games, and scene is still
  active, what do we want more ?

+ please tell me what a lamer is in your
  opinion ?

- hmm, difficult to give a clear de-
  scription. i could tell you, which
  things are lame, but what a lamer is?
  well, a lamer is just doing lame
  things (hehe)

+ what do you think about the -
  'elite contra lame' thing ?

  is there anything we can do about it?

- well, nearly every scene-newcomer is
  confronted with this thing, because
  he is already lame, if he starts...
  it's up to him, to improve his abili-
  ties and start producing something...
  if he's good, he will be soon belong
  to the 'elite' (whatever this is).
  so, the 'elite' just should not be to
  hard with these beginners...

+ do ya have a lot of contacts ?
  (how many - name a few.)

- i have about 75 contacts, i won't name
  any here (sorry). just let me tell you
  that i've contacts in nearly all
  producing (demo)groups.

+ do you prefer legal stuff or cracks
  or mayby both from your contacts.

- legal, ofcourse. if somebody contacts
  me with illegal, he won't get some-
  thing back...

+ do you use cheated stamps ?

- no

+ why/why not?

- because i'm legal (as i said). i never
  want to get in troubles with the law
  and/or the police...

+ about demos : do ya like 'em ?
  are there to many or to few ?

- yes, i like demos. Why I Like Demos ?
  weil es ein clausthaler ist (hehe).
  no, i really like all good demos with
  good grafix, music and coding, just to
  say 'design'.

+ and the same for mags ?

- there are surely to many mags, but i
  enjoy reading most of them, except
  for australian mags...

+ if you had the opportunity to build up
  a new group - which persons would you
  like to join ?

- crossbow, walt, drax, deek, hein holt,
  bizzmo, carrion, brush, goldrush,
  acidchild...
