LOADSTAR is producing a diskbased mag- azine monthly, with some 3OOO subscrib- ers in the United states. LOADSTAR will most definately be launching 6-7 titles a year from the German company, in ord- er not to overfeed the market and leave room for others as well. * NEMESIS PRODUCTIONS is a new gamelabel born in Sweden focusing mainly on budgetsoftware selling through various channels on the field. They are also involved in the fullprice production FUTURE WORLD for the CHERRY SOFTWARE- corporation, due to appear during this fall. * GAMETEK, a Brittishbased company who has not yet been too involved in pro- ducing software for the 64, but for our 16-bit brothers, are picking up production again, now that ESCOM de- clared relauncing the Commodore 64. Rumour has it more companies will follow. * COMMODORE FORMAT, the Brittish magazine who took the crown from the ceased ZZAP 64 has just one more issue to go before the magazine will vanish from the shelves. Various companies are looking into sponsoring, to keep the magazine alive. Another Brittish mag- azine from the PD-library BINARY ZONE called COMMODORE ZONE is will still be available in United Kingdom. * TRIBUTE 1996 will be arranged by the TRIBUTE ASSOCIATION, an association with people from various groups on the field today. Most likely the party will be held in June, not to run against the much awaited X'96 in Holland. PHUTURE is a gamelabel sticking out from BAD BYTES, organized by RRR. They have been trying to do business with LOADSTAR and other companies are nego- tiating with them for fullprice and budgetproductions as well. * LK AVALON are ordering their programmers to move quickly on the Commodore 64, knowing the machine has had its best years already. LK AVALON are moving to bigger and more popular formats, but will stay with the C64 for some time to come. Support the Polish scene. Brittish company VISUALIZE, latest production being the splendid DEADLINE will continue their activity on the C64 in the future. New budget games are to appear later this year. * BATMAN III, JURASSIC PARK and MEGATWINS are titles that are ready for the C64, but never saw light of day due to a small market. It is now rumoured that a German company has bought the rights for the 8-bit versions, planning to release them along with ESCOM'S launch of the C64 in November. * People from FAIRLIGHT are close to finishing their game called LEGOLAND, a much awaited and talked about game, whose preview could be seen in the selftitled demo some years back. * BOB/CENSOR has left the Commodore 64 behind working for Electronic Arts, but is still planning to sell his coder- utilities for gameprogrammers, letting them optimize their software to the maximum. It is still uncertain who will be stocking this utility. * American THRESHOLD PRODUCTIONS are launching their first productions in the not too far distant.
