Once again the Jamaica-staff are able to
give you another review of a hot(?)
album. This time it's Bumboo and i have
reviewed Scorpion's new album called:
 FACE THE HEAT .

When I first bought this album I asked
myself: Can scorpions make a such a
great album as "Crazy world"?

Well, the cd contains 13 tunes which
tune 12 and 13 are bonus-tracks.

I say a few words about every tune as I
think the tunes quality is diffrent.


   Face the heat / Scorpions   58:55 min


Tune 01: ALIEN NATION           5:44 min

A hard tune for to be Scorpions. I don't
think that Klaus Meine's voice fits here
but the tune gets better if you listen
to it some times.

                            Grade:  5/10


Tune 02: NO PAIN NO GAIN        3:55 min

This is also a hard tune but it's better
than alien nation. It's a very strong
chorus.
                            Grade:  6/10


Tune 03: SOMEONE TO TOUCH       4:28 min

A little bit softer tune but it's not
a hit, if I say so...
Sounds like something that wasn't good
enough for an old Scorpions album...

                            Grade:  3/10


Tune 04: UNDER THE SAME SUN     4:52 min

This is the first tune which sounds like
old good scorpions. This ballad have a
good text and sounds realy Scorpions!

                            Grade:  7/10


Tune 05: UNHOLY ALLIANCE        5:16 min

Just like alien nation, Klaus voice is
not as good here as in the ballads.
Nothing is good with this tune!

                            Grade:  3/10


Tune 06: WOMAN                  5:56 min

The second ballad on this album. It's a
good one too! Simply that way we know
Scorpions.

                            Grade:  7/10


Tune 07: HATE TO BE NICE        4:30 min

Hmm, far from typical Scorpions but it's
okey anyway. I don't like the guitarsolo
in the middle of the tune.

                            Grade:  4/10


Tune 08: TAXMAN WOMAN           4:30 min

Neither this tune sounds Scorpions but
this is worse...

                            Grade:  3/10


Tune 09: SHIP OF FOOLS          4:15 min

I hate to repeat myself but also this
tune is bad and don't sounds Scorpions.

                            Grade:  3/10


Tune 10: NIGHTMARE AVENUE       3:54 min

A hard tune like alien nation but have
nothing that make me wanna listen to it.

                            Grade:  3/10


Tune 11: LONELY NIGHTS          4:44 min

Probably the best tune on this album.
Extremely good text. I guess the album
is worth buying only because of this
tune!

                            Grade:  9/10


Tune 12: DESTIN                 3:17 min

The first bonus-track. Also this one is
a very nice ballad who sounds very much
Scorpions. Chorus on french! Nice text.

                            Grade:  9/10

Tune 13: DADDY'S GIRL           4:17 min

The second bonus-track and the last tune
on this album. Another ballad. It sounds
like destin, the first bonus-track.
Even this tune have a nice text.

                            Grade:  9/10


The answer to my question if this album
was as good as "crazy world" I must say
-No! Some of the tunes are but many of
the tunes is far from that quality.

This album is anyway worth to take place
in your collection.

I wrote in some tunes that I liked the
text so I would like to print down some
lines from the tune "lonely nights":


  "i go back to the places we've been
    it feels like you're still there
     i live all those moments again
         wishing you were here

           since you're gone
        there is a lonely heart
           since you're gone
         nothin' is like it was

 there are memories all over the place
     bringin' it back all so clear
       remember all of those days
         wishing you were here"

I guess that's all i've got to say, but

don't start to listen to techno and
other shit you don't like. Listen to
REAL music like Scorpions.

Just one more thing, remember the old
ALPHAVILLE album called FOREVER YOUNG?
I'm sure that you remember the title-
tune!?! There is a lot of other nice
tunes on this album so it's worth to buy
it.
