The US scene report
Another requirement we need these days in the scene is more activity in the NTSC scene, here we bring the latest happenings, mainly from the boards.
- Chaotic Factor was finally dropped by Excess.
- Cyborg finally got Dream Park temporarily online with no new gfx and awaits the installation of a proper line to go 24 hours. Call its on 1-619/XXX-XXXX.
- Mizar reopened his board after a lot of ups and downs call it on 1-419/XXX-XXXX.
- Styx left his original fixing group Aristocracy to join up with the mad guys in Demonix, but later was kicked from DMX for inactivity!
- Mutant-X, the American hacker, joined in with AFL, got booted and then rejoined again! He is quite inactive at the moment.
- Thor, Master Kracker and The Shark and I recently had a scene discussion, they said they would happily call "The Dungeon" as long as they're posts were not altered in any way and they were allowed access to all subs. Negotiations will be made to hopefully get them validated on this board. Bringing even more action to it.
- Eldamar, a US supplier joined in with F4CG.
- The Evil Island changed number to 1-314/XXX-XXXX. It recently had some hard drive problems but things have been fixed.
- In Living Color is back online in Texas so give it a call on 1-713/XXX-XXXX and support this troubled board. Read mixed chapter for more!
- Divine Ultimatum should be going back up sooner or later, with Chameleon finally getting back to his roots! Several groups such as AVT, F4CG and Genesis*Project have showed interest in gaining this popular board.
- Apparently Empire is fixing exclusively now for Avantgarde with the departure of Pudwerx. Perhaps these guys will share a WHQ in the future?!
- The Dungeon's main number is black-listed. This of course means *don't use MCI cards* over the main dial up, because blacklisted numbers kill the cards very quickly so call through a PBX or divert your call firstly through from the 1800#.
- Edge of Midnight seems to be down and Rug Rat is no where to be seen, hopefully this cool board will be back online soon. It had switched from Cyborg C*Base to Omni 128, but of course the BBS term used now would be unknown. It may even be why the board is down now due to a change in software.
- Down by Law was offline for around a week but is slowly getting callers back, it has lost much support since Talent have practically ceased calling out to the states. Perhaps with a clean up of the drives and a group change the board will pick up its former glory from the RSI days.
Comments: not much happening in the NTSC scene lately, but by next issue I'm quite sure some large changes will have occurred.
