Welcome to the seventh edition of the
most delayed magazine "ARE WE THE BEST?"
As you can see this time we ONLY delayed
4 months so the next issue will be out
in '93 if things go right for us. Hehe!
Anyway,lean back and enjoy this issue,
though there are lot of old things in
this issue. (SCS+DOM report,etc.)
If you wanna see your versions in AWTB,
then remember to send it to your local
CHROMANCE dealer or to the staff.
Also older games are welcome as we keep
every game up to 3-4 issues!

- The co-leader of FAIRLIGHTs PC section
The Not So Humble Baby got busted when
carding by the FBI.
What they found was a major fraud and
pirateconspiracy with a girl in the
center.
They found a lot of addresses and also
phone numbers of major boards.
She can get between 5 to 30 years in
prison...
- Some GLORY members built up a new USA
group called NOBLE ORDER OF THIEVES
(NOT) and their leader is Coldrake.
Rumours are saying that Maniac (ex.GP)
also joined NOT,but it's not sure...
Citadel Of Illusion is a NOT/HYSTERIC
board now.
- Gee Spot is no LEGEND hq anymore,it's
groupless at the moment.
- The Danish cops strikes back!
They just caught Hulkster/DOMINATORS
for selling video movies and also Duke
of DOMINATORS was caught for using
AT&T's. They also invited Dogfriend
for questioning but he got released a
few hours later,but Duke was held for
a day. Also Janec/GENESIS PROJECT got
busted for using AT&T's and the cops
found some AT&T's at his home...
- EXTREME is dead. Freestyle,Kopkilla,
B-Wyze and Delta joined SUCCESS,The
Communist joined F4CG and Swave joined
CHROMANCE.
- WARRIORS OF WASTELANDS (WOW) are in
cracking coop with the INTRUDERS.
- The ACRISE+VARSITY coop splitted up.
- The old HYSTERIC hq THE METALWORKS is
an AMIGA bbs now.
- The sysop of Tunnel Of Wares,Slayer of
DOMINATORS got a letter from the AT&T
so he took down his board for a while.
- ILLUSION is back! The former ILLUSION
members left TALENT and rebuilt the
old group.
Their hq's are The Forum and Terminal
Obsession.
- Jihad built up a new group called
DOUBLE IMPACT,but it seems he's the
only member right now.
- The VISION hq State of Mind is down.

announced to be back...
- Did you know that Swave of CHROMANCE
is a beatcreator of a Hip Hop group?
- A phreakgroup was built up in Sweden.

members are from FAIRLIGHT,VISION and
DEATH SECTOR.
- Rumours are saying that Warewolf (ex.
EXODUS) is back...
- A new UK group was formed by TRC and
WOW members called MAYHEM.
- Skid Row of HYSTERIC wants to put up
a board but he's just collecting money
for a hard disc.
- HOTLINE is back on the scene,rebuilt
by The Silver Surfer who already
cracked a few games for HOTLINE.
Gazza left TRC and rejoined the newly
rebuilt HOTLINE.

This time we can present you a short,but
cool interview with one of Germany's
most popular cracker Chrysagon/ENIGMA.
This interview was done by Action Jacks.
when he was still in X-RAY. HERE WE GO!
A: let's know something about your
private and conputer like,please?
C: I'm 21 years of age. My height is
1,8 metres and my weight is 75 kgs.
I started my computer activities in
1983 with an TISS/4A. I coded a lit-
tle bit on it and played some games!
In 1984 I bought a C64 with tape, I
had already some friends on C64...
These were already from 'PC-PLUTON-
IUM CRACKER!' After cracking some
tapes they asked me to join PC. Some
time later I got finally my drive!
After PLUTONIUM CRACKER I joined FCS
ANTITRAGE,SHARKS,TRANSCOM,SHARKS,IN-
CES and finally X-RAY!
A: We've never heard of INCES,but what
is the coolness of a cracker?
C: Coolness? I can tell you what a cool
cracker means! 1st thing is that the
cracks till the end, do the best.
(length, trainers etc.)
A: The Gamers Guide will come back next

What's the toughest crack you ever
cracked recently?
C: I self released over 150 games in
1991, I sure don't remember!
A: Why do YOU rule?
C: Hmm! Bcoz of the quality of my cracks
A: Yeah! Your cracks are great! Do you

A: What do you think of I.F.F.L. nowa-
days?
C: It's just standard,it makes for me
the same work as a normal levelpack!
A: From who do you get your originals?
C: I get my originals from different
software shops in Germany, so I'm
also the original supplier in X-RAY!
A: So you really do take care for X-RAY!
Has there been an original you could
not crack coz of the hard protection
or another reason?
C: I can tell you only that it's impos-
sible to crack sum 'STARBYTE' origi-
nals(Tie-Break,Invest) from a copy,
and I mean 100% crack, coz every
version bugged! Every for sure suck-
ed at special point up. A timer de-
fine the point where it breaks then!
But when I've had the original (the
right) these were never a problem!
A: How's yar experience with cartridges?
C: In Germany it's very hard to get cart
games, there's also no special firm.
it's just ever the same with cartrid-
ges! I would get them only 3 weeks
after the 1st release!
A: Tell me Chrysagon... Have you ever
thought it whats the scene without
you?
C: NOTHING! hahahaha.... I don't know!
But I don't care so much about the
scene of lamers with big mouth and
simply no abilities!
A: Do you go to copy-parties or to some
big shows like E.C.E.S./lONDON etc.?
C: Earlier it was great to go to copy-
parties like FCS party, Danish Gold
parties, Dexion party, Ikari-Zargon
party. But now it's most time pure
shit!
A: Tell us your opinion about AWTB...
C: I had never seen this mag, because I
DON'T SWAP or get any warez!
A: You should try to get this mag' from
Trigger/X-RAY coz it's worth to read!

SUCCESS & DOMINATORS X-MAS PARTY REPORT

On 13/12/91 I,Rough/CHROMANCE went from
MUNICH to NUREMBURG to meet my pals
Scatter&Subway/PULSAR,Frog/?. It was
rather funny on the train trip.
In PAPENBURG we first couldn't find the
party place as it was NOT so near to the
trainstation as a certain SUCCESS member
said... After some seeking we found a
big building. We went in and found first
a Popper Disco,but on the backside of it
was the entrance of the Party. As we put
our steps into the partyroom the first
guy who came to us was Tyree/SUCCESS and
we kidded him by pretending in broken
english to be the Polish group PARADOS..
He believed in the fake and looked quite
mixed up,but we couldn't hold & started
laughing. In the place we met Transfer/
PULSAR who drank a lot on this evening
and Jack Daniels/DOMINATORS and some
VAGABONDS guys were playing football and
we were ONLY 30 guys around. Some more
DOM guys hang around and CYPERPUNX were
busy trying to fix their demo and I met
some guys,but it was rather boring. In
the night we went to the youth hostel
with some HYSTERIC members car where we
first met Pussymaster/TRINOMIC,he talked
a lot of shit and we had some fun with
him. Arrived in the hostel we got told
that we have to sleep in the sports hall
as the hostel was overcrowded. We played
a little bit football and I made some
funny jokes together with The Communist/
X-Ray and Subway/Pulsar. By the way,in
the meanwhile Scatter/PUL renamed into
HIPPIE,don't forget it!... Graphic from
BRAINBOMBS was also hanging and saw
that we didn't do too much shit... We
built up a spring board and Subway, Don
Promillo/VAGABONDS and me made some
(stage)diving on some matresses. At app.
3 o'clock we went sleeping,but sometime
in the night I got awaken by two drunk
guys.. Tyree+Arrogance who made stupid
jokes about Airwolf/GENESIS and they la-
ughed loud (The next day when I saw Air-
wolf I knew why. hehe!). After a shitty
night we went to the Partyplace and all
over the day nothing special happened.
We just bought some drinks and food!
Ahhh,before I forget it the day before I
met also Myxin/VAGABONDS,who told me
that Imbecile/REBELS was lying in their
car totally drunk.. Hehe! Anyway in the
afternoon we did some shit for Condom
but nearly noone arrived. I was glad to
meet some guys I've seen before like
Skywolf/LEGEND or The Reaper/TROPIC but
nothing happened. Then Subway and me
went buying a few beers. At about 18 o'
clock a big bunch of guys appeared like
the four HYSTERIC heros from Hannover,
some really coolish bastards,Burglar and
Nightshade/SUCCESS some more VAGABONDS
guys,Airwolf/GENESIS,Brego/TRIAD and
some OREGONers. We drank our cool beers,
talked a lot of shit and made 1000's of
photos,while Graphic/BRAINBOMBS was
running around making a video of the
party(cheese!)... Before Myxin/VAGABONDS
had a little accident and had to go to
the hospital for some hours. Tyree
promised that 100s of Venlo guys will
come at 22 PM... But nobody came so we
went to a disco,from who we got told tha
t it was a PUNK&INDIE one. When we,Myxin
/VAGABONDS,Imbecile/REBELS,The Communist
/X-Ray,X-Raffi/BRAINBOMBS,some VAGABONDS
me and some more entered the guys in the
disco looked at us strange as we were a
bunch of Punks,Hardcorists and Metallers
(A fuckin' cool bunch in fact!) and the
disco was a lame Prolo pseudo Indie Pop
disco and some Papenburg Farmers where
dancing in strange movements (was quite
amusing!) Afterwards we went again to
the hostel to sleep,but it was really
impossible because some SUCCESS dudes
shot around with a ball to blow up some
dudes...(trying to shoot HYSTERIC dudes)
It was also fuckin' cold in my opinion,
disgustimg! At 9 A.M. a fuckin' asshole
kicked us out and we went to the party
place but it was closed.. We had to wait
1 1/2 hours until Graphic/BRAINBOMBS
brought the key to the room,where we
fixed Condom and nothing else as most
dudes left already. It was quite cool to
talk to Rhyme Syndicate from VAGABONDS
(Bad Religon #1) and Don Promillo/VAG.
told me that he was doing some music for
MOLOTOW SODA (a rather wellknown Punk
Group) COOL!.. Then we left to leave by
train,where we had again some fun and
released a new papermag' with self drawn
pictures of guys like Airwolf,Arrogance
and Tyree. Very funny really. Order a
copy for three bananas at my sex line...
(Brabl!) All in all it was a LAAAAAAAME
(another one) party,there were only 100
guys around, but most of them were ELITE
and the organisation was average,but it
was the low amount of guys which was
shocking...
