well, we did it and this is what we did
ADDYBOOK with a totally new outfit which
you hopefully will like. as the most
guys in the scene pushed us to do that,
we did it.. and we also removed that
HARDCORE flashing as the most guys got
blind after reading ADDYBOOK .......
okay. in this editorial i also will
explain how to use the mag.. but this
later !! at first i will give you the
credits for the mag and the intro !

puhh.. a lot of credits you say? yes but
now i will explain how to use this mag
well, in the main menu,which is the same
like the read menu, you can use your
stick in port two. by wanking left and
right you can choose a chapter. if you
have found you favorite chapter you have
to press fire and the floppy starts to
load the chapter you choosed .
if the floppy is ready with loading
you are in the read menu. there you can
wank left and right to read the text.
on the top of the screen you can also
see how many pages the text use and on
which page you finally read...
if you want to read another chapter you
just have to press fire and you are in
the main menu. simply or what?
by pressing RUN/STOP you can stop the
colorflashing or press it again to get
the colorflashing on.
another thing is how to know if you are
in the main or readmenu. well this is
not a so big problem as you maybe think.
if you are in the MAIN MENU you will see
a text in the grey area which gives you
some infos about the issue and if you
are in the READ MENU you can see the
text you wanted to read .. i hope you
understand this! but i think it's simple
to understand. if not try it by yourself

this issue includes 3 interviews, about
170 addies, fair charts, some reviews,
news, a lot of music news, some music
reviews and ofcause a lot of text ...
a note to all readers: please send us
REACTIONS about the new outfit ....
positive and negative reactions are
welcome. and just write what you think
and don't make anything like ASSLICKING
or SLIMING around! we can life with your
reaction, and if there are negative
reactions about this mag, we will try to
make it better! also give us some ideas
what to make better, and we try to do it

to all graphic artists: if you wanna
paint a bitmap logo for us (addybook or
blaze logo) we will use it in the intro
of this mag, but we only use NICE logos
and not all we get from you. this is
also a chance to get FAMOUS... if you
are not famous at the moment!!

the same is for all musicartists. if
you wanna make a EXCLUSIVE tune for us
it will be welcome,too! and ofcause it's
also the chance to get FAMOUS if you are
not!!

oh before i forget it! the logos you
can send us must have the same high like
the blaze logo in the intro. otherwise
we can't use your logo!!
now i have a very interesting topic for
all of you! the name of the topic is
what is CODING?

your brain starts to think or? you dont
know what can be interesting in this
topic. but you are wrong! the most
peoples never thought about this topic!
but they think:"this is uninteresting"
well i will start now:
what is coding? well coding is to write
some commandos into the memory! but you
have to write the commandos in a right
order, so that something happens on your
screen! that is what you never think if
someone quest you "what is coding" ...
if you are a coder you maybe think it!!
but that is not all what to say about
coding! "coding is coding" that is what
a swapper think! but thats wrong!
for examples: if you are a reviewer
and you start to review a mag! how do u
start to do it? you load the mag and you
start to think about what you can see on
the screen. well there is a nice logo
and you give 60% for the grafix.
at next you listen to the music and you
think "oh what a nice music!" and you
give 75% for the music...
the next thing is the CODING! and there
start the real problem! i realy don't
know how to review the coding! in the
most reviews i've read, i saw that the
reviewers gives points for the coding!
but how to review the coding?
if you wanna review the coding you have
to check out all the routines in the mag
and you also must check out how many
RASTERTIME the routine use! and that is
what nobody have done so far. and so i
think you can't review the coding of a
MAG and also not of a DEMO!
i think the most reviewers which reviews
the coding of a mag/demo do it by
thinking of the routines, is the routine
hard to code or easy? is it a multiplex-
routine with 80 sprites or 90?
if the reviewer can't code a multiplexer
he think " oh thats hard to code " and
he give 60% for the coding, but if he
can also code an multiplexer he say "oh
simple to code!" and he give 30% for the
coding! but if you check out the routine
you can see that the routine is very
FAST and VARIABLE! and that the coder
also could do a 110 sprites multiplexer
but the reviewer only see 80 sprites and
he say lame? wherefrom did he know that
the coding is lame?have he check out the
routine? nooo NEVER! he just review what
HE SEE. ofcause, there are also some
routines which you can review without
looking into the memory. for examples :
a vector gfx!is the vector fast or slow?
if the vector is fast then is also the
routine of this vector fast. and the
same if the vector is very lame!
but that is one of the only routines
you can review without looking into the
memory! another example is: if there is
a stretcher with 3 different effects
you think " oh not bad "....
but if you see a stretcher with 6
different effects you"say oh this coding
is better" but if you check it out, you
see that the routine is very slow and
it used very much rastertime! but the
routine with 3 different effects is very
fast and also totally variable and use
very less rastertime! and the routine is
also able to make 6 different effects.
but again, you only review what you see!
and that, that is DESIGN, but not CODING
you only can review how cool the routine
look like on the screen! but this is NOT
the CODING! that's the design from the
routine.. so think about this, if you
review a demo! you never can see it, if
the coding is cool or lame! that is
really IMPOSSIBLE! i personaly think you
never can review the coding of a mag,
because a mag is just to have fun by
reading the text and listening the music
only the text is important for a mag,but
not the coding. a long time ago, some
guys told us that the CODING of ADDYBOOK
is not that good, but wherefrom did they
know that our coding was not that good?
they never checked our routines!! they
just watched and speak! but i say:
first THINK, then SPEAK!!! what did they
mean with our coding is not that good?
i think they only means the effects we
used and ofcause there was and is not
any MEGA SPECIAL EFFECT in our mag,
because it is a mag and not a demo!!!!
you only should read the text, and not
watch at some nice routines like vectors
multiplexers or fpp effects, it's just a
mag and not a DEMO!!! so if you review a
mag, never review the coding of the mag
because that's impossible! you should
call it"SPECIAL EFFECTS"or"ROUTINE-
DESIGN", but never call it CODING!! that
is what i wanna tell you with this topic
coding is a very complex topic and it's
impossible to say all about coding, i
could write many many more thinks about
coding but that would need more than
only ONE CHAPTER!! but there is still
something left i wanna tell you !
how do the most guys vote for a group?
well, to vote for a group is not so hard
because the voters look at the demo and
if the demo LOOKS cool they start to
vote for the demogroup! that's the right
way i say, but some voters also vote
groups which has a long time (1 YEAR)
not produced anything, and that's shit!
in this way, a group which is not that
famous, can't be climb up to the
3 PLACE or to the TOP TEN! what would
you vote if you get a demo from CREST
with nice design and cool LOOKING
routines, and a demo from OXYRON with
nice LOOKING routines and also cool
design! i think you would vote crest
very high and oxyron only on the last
place or maybe a little bit higher !!
but why did you vote oxyron that high?
because it's a new group and maybe not
so sympatic to you, and crest is a
higher concept for you, and so you vote
crest very high! but why do not give
oxyron a chance to get high into the
charts as they maybe have deserve it!!
only because you dont know them ???
that i cant belive!!sorry, but i cant!!
the names i used are just examples not
anything else! but please think about
all i've sayed to you! if you vote for
a group! give also the unfamous guys a
chance to get under the top ten, if they
realy deserve it, and don't vote for
groups which has a long time nothing
produced! if you do it in this way, i
can say that all the charts would be
more fairer !! so watch, think and vote
but not only watch and vote !! that's
not the right order!! you also can't
review first and then watch the demo!
that's impossible, but if you can it,you
would be a WOODOO MERLIN!!
there is also another thing i must tell
you. it's also at the charts but not the
groups! i mean the single coder!
but i don't wanna write too much about
this! i only will tell you that this is
also a realy complex topic, it's nearly
the same like the reviewing the coding
of a demo!! i think coder is the wrong
name for this, as all voters don't vote
for the coding, no they only vote, what
they can see, and that's again the
design of the routine you see on the
screen. you maybe can call it:
"best routine designers"or something
like that!! but not best coders! that's
not right! but it's also very hard to
give that part of the charts a new name!
and at this line i will STOP now writing
about coding and voting, as it's too
complex to write more about it !!!!
but DONT FORGET to THINK ABOUT this TEXT
