----------------------------------------

Let's start with the race. Lizart take
it over from here, please:

Start:Coulthard had a problem just
before the race started and there was
a second start of the race.
2nd start:Hill makes a very good start
and takes the lead. Villeneuve really
screwed-up his start and fell back to
the 7th place. Alesi crashes in one of
the first corners, but he is OK.
Classification after 1 lap:

 1: Hill
 2: Berger
 3: Hakkinen
 4: Schumacher
 5: Irvine
 6: Villeneuve
 7: Brundle
 8: Barrichello
 9: Frentzen
10: Panis
11: Herbert
12: Diniz
13: Verstappen
14: Salo
15: Katayama
16: Lamy
17: Rosset
18: Coulthard

Berger is sees a tiny gap and tries
to get past Hill. In the meanwhile
Coulthard is having trouble and makes
the first pit-stop. Villeneuve is
working hard to get close to Hill.
Berger tries to get past Hill by braking
at the last moment, but Hill isn't gonna
give his position away and also brakes
extremely late and so he still keeps
his [first] position.
Classification after 3 laps:

 1: Hill 3 laps
 2: Berger 1.299
 3: Hakkinen 2.600
 4: Schumacher 3.460
 5: Irvine 4.630
 6: Villeneuve 5.140

Than Berger noticed that the nose of
his car is damaged because Hill and him
hit eachother.
Both Berger and Hill have to make a
pitstop to fix their cars.
Classification after 5 laps:

 1: Hill
 2: Hakkinen
 3: Schumacher
 4: Irvine
 5: Villeneuve
 6: Brundle
 7: Barrichello
 8: Frentzen

11: Diniz
12: Verstappen
13: Katayama
14: Berger
15: Salo
16: Lamy
17: Rosset
18: Coulthard

Berger's pit-stop is a very quick one.
He changed tyres, put in some gas and
changed the nose of the car in 9.8 secs.
Hill tries to take some seconds and he
goes fast and takes tries to take back
the leading position.
In the meanwhile Berger is climbing back
to the top and has just overtake the
12th position from Verstappen.
Berger also makes the fastest lap in
lap 9 (1:45.541).

 1 Hill
 2 Hakkinen
 3 Schumacher
 4 Irvine
 5 Villeneuve

10 Herbert
11 Berger
12 Diniz
13 Verstappen
14 Katayama
15 Salo
16 Lamy
17 Coulthard
18 Rosset

And after 12 laps Villeneuve finally
puts his car beside Irvine and has
passed him with a great trick!!!
jaques Villeneuve has now got lots of
space to drive as fast as possible and
he makes the fastest lap in lap 13
(1:44.961).
Villeneuve has got to make a pitstop
and when he is planning to leave the
pits then suddenly Barrichello ride into
the pits. Than Diniz spins and the race
is over for him.

12 Verstappen
13 Katayama
14 Coulthard
15 Salo
16 Lamy
17 Rosset

Hill comes into the pits in the 18th lap
and also Hakkinen and Irvine come in.
Hill made a good pitstop but had to wait
for Irvine and comes on the track just
before Schumacher. The difference
between Hill and Villeneuve is _7d 5
seconds so it's very exciting for the
people who are watching.
Classification after 20 laps:

 1 Hill
 2 Schumacher
 3 Hakkinen
 4 Villenueve
 5 Irvine
 6 Berger
 7 Brundle

 9 Frentzen
10 Panis
11 Herbert
12 Verstappen
13 Coulthard
14 Salo
15 Katayama
16 Rosset
17 Lamy

Salo had some problems with his engine
and has to fall out.
Rosset gets a blocking penalty while
Katayama drives against Verstappen.
Verstappen goes for his first and last
pitstop in the 29th round.
Hill still leads and Villeneuve comes _7d7
seconds behind. Than some racers
take a pitstop again Schumacher
Hakkinen and Villeneuve to be exact.
Villeneuve goes as one of the first.
Some laps later Hill goes and....... he
keeps the lead!!
A few laps later Villeneuve drops out!
Why? Because his right back-tire breaks
off! This means that Hill is now
WORLDCHAMPION!
Katayama is doing well but has got to
stop the race. Irvine spins because
Berger ramed him.

Classification after 45 laps:

 1 Hill
 2 Schumacher
 3 Hakkinen
 4 Berger
 5 Brundle
 6 Frentzen
 7 Panis
 8 Barrichello
 9 Herbert
10 Coulthard
11 Verstappen
12 Lamy
13 Rosset

Coulthard is chasing Frentzen and made
a (good manouvre) and is passed him.
Hakkinen is still very close behind
Schumacher but he will not make it and
Hill wins the race of Japan!!!
