the scene,after coding issue 9 of
corruption.
-punisher,the irish cracker of g*p also
quitted.he gave his modem to dawsy/g*p.
-hans juergen ehrentraut joined genesis
as a musican.he also works for amok.
-tyger and wildstyle left trsi in order
to join genesis project.after this,trsi
died.tyger is a new cracker,who already
cracked a few games under the gp label.
wildstyle is his original supplier,
so watch out for further releases of
them.
-sting/ikari and talent proves again his
lameness.he ripped tyger's/g*p iffl v.2
routine.he is even claiming that it was
his own one.fact is that tyger has
coded this routine.check mish mash for
a detailled report !
-bucaneer of the warriors of time is
back in the scene.
-prodigy of nec/nei dropped action from
his board,it's now a censor+nec/nei
board.as channel 0 is up again and
action is trading with empire now,
channel zero is boths groups hq.
-boot camp,the former paramount hq bbs,
is down,as the sysop couldn't pay his
phone-bill.
-f4cg lost their board,which they had
together with empire.
-sacred of bronx-australia,captain tas,
calt,city,lanoline,weeys,freeze,neno
and alive of ruler joined together the
force.also razor of chrome joined the
their australian section.the force is
growing !
-deathstralker/wow joined x-rated,while
beachtiger/wow joined sense designs.
-dna was kicked out of paradize.jayce
and anorganic joined them.
-excelsior/dynamix joined the ruling
company.
-seal and ratfit joined hotline.
-arcane of manowar stopped because the
cops caught him.
-exat of tat joined the depredators.
-mode 2/stash joined house designs.
-earthshaker/depredators joined silicon
ltd.
-dominators seem to have some internal
problems.but they are expected to
return soon.
-skywize of triad left the scene while
akay of triad joined science 451.curlin
and mad butcher,both ex-hitmen joined
triad.it is rumoured that curlin is
under computer arrest because of school
problems.in fact triad broke their rule
"no foreigners!".strange !!!
-uncle-x/ex-centauri and slammer/ex-role
joined paragon.
-spirou joined light.
-flash inc. got an us hq called "digital
fantasy".the american group longshot
wants to fix flash's demos...
-all graphicans of the ocean studios
joined the gbf/crest.
-rcs and trix weren't kicked out of
bonzai.bonzai asked only demanded them
to leave the group and so they did.
section they are a 100 % danish.
-sid and dash were kicked out of f4cg.
-slayer of topaz joined origo.
-stone and specter of the depredators
are back !
-a new group is born called joy divison
members are : jihad of ex-hitmen,lth of
ex-bonzai and arrogance of ex-x-ray.
also brego ex-trsi and two danish
crackers,called neon judgement and
blade runner are in.
-freestyle had to left ikari and talent
because of his close friendship to atc.
he also had some disagreements with bod
which were caused by sting,who talked
bullshit about the swiss section.bod
believed in sting's words and kicked
freestyle and dave out !
-padua stopped producing demos,in their
opinion it is only a waste of time.so
they are now only coding tools and
games.
-cleric left triad.in his notes against
triad he wrote the 'truth' about the
problemchild gamers guide and the whole
triad crew.triad put games of them in
the guide,they never released in fact.
-guards of doom are dead,techno and some
others joined ikon visual.
-airwolf of action cracked all games,
which jive ex-noice released.
-noice ripped the code from trashnews to
make their own mag called rtl+.lame !
-the software companies hewson,crl and
some others don't excist anymore.
-charles deenen won a price with a song
he wrote for a rap/house-group.if you
watched blizz on netherland two at the
eight of may you saw his (ugly) face.
he is going to the states in about
one month after having some problems
with his visum.
-creeper left antic and joined death
sector,while disc was kicked long ago,
but nobody noticed it.
-tom and rough who used to be in hitmen
before,joined chromance while dr. disc
and herman left chromance.dr.disc
joined alpha flight and herman quitted.
-dense ex-hitmen was caught by the cops,
but nothing was found.
-techno of the sparx changed his handle
into satan and joined triumwyrat.
-kampftrinker/g*p has trouble on the
boards with a lot of guys,especially
with the whole dominators crew.
-bonzai got some new swappers.some
names : hawk,janic and some more...
-omega is dead.they died because nobody
noticed their work.
-parson/ex-x-ray joined a new group
called budbrain.
-mendrake role was caught by the cops,
afterwards he left role and built up a
new group called acrise.also the
public enemy/ex-role,jive/ex-noice and
some fomer members from sense design
are in.the mag mega madness will be
released under this handle.
-rick ex-paramount joined x-ray.
-enforcer left the powers of pain,
changed his handle into the dominant
and joined verdict.so did nsd ex-hitmen
-the mag remark took a break,as the
editor,remi ebus has problems in school
and with his girl friend.
-cruiser rejoined the giants,after he
was kicked out of origo on the horizon
party.
-pain and skyhawk of x-factor are coding
a game.
-bod of ikari and talent released a
preview of the game "firepower"...
the strangeness is that the 100%
version of this game has been re-
leased two years ago.
-fletch of ikari+talent wants to sell
his board "never never land",as he is
thinking about leaving the scene.
-smasher was kicked out of f4cg,while
they got a new italian member,called
c.p.e.t.
-roy of the victims posted on a board
that he will leave the scene,as the
german cops busted him for blue boxing
and took all his equipment with them.
-airwolf,style and cruise all ex-hitmen,
joined pulsar,so did steve/the lost
souls,nightmare/exotic and dash/f4cg.
-arkad left babygang,changed his handle
into alf and is looking for a new crew
to join.
-arm got two new members called ivol
and mc hammer.
-wildcat of ics recracked lupo alberto
preview from arm.
-scorp,rodney,fp and ronny (all ex ruth-
less and hitmen) joined the demo group
flash inc.
-prowl/ex-chrome,airtec/ex-decade and a
game graphics designer called mega
joined radius.
-the radwar party-classic edition will
be held on the 8th of june at the
usual place,in the disco la quinta.
(don't cry...it was renamed by the
owner !).

? hello,derbyshire ram.
please tell us a bit about yourself!
! Hello Frank,what are you asking for
man,an autobiography? Well here we go.
My name is Barry. I am 52 years old,
happily married with five grown up
children,4 of whom are also married.
2 boys and 3 girls. I also now have
7 grandchildren,6 boys and 1 girl.
My wife's name is Ann and she hates
computing both at home and at work.
My weight: 1OO Kilos and my height is
1.8O meters,overweight yes,that's with
sitting on my ass most days copying.
I do not work,I had to retire for ill
health reasons (NOT AIDS!) with a
balance problem back in 1982. I was
assistant production manager in a gas
cylinder manufacturing factory where
I worked from 1959 after serving in
the Airforce. I was in Cyprus during
the Greek/Turkish uprising in the mid-
late 195O's. I only worked as ground-
crew,but I was shit scared so I know
how some of these guys in the Gulf
must feel right now.
I live with all my family in a market
town called Chesterfield in the High
Peak district of Derbyshire,situated
more or less in central England
between Sheffield and Nottingham.
I run a car,or at least that's what it
is called... It is a nippy 3 wheeler
called a "Reliant Rialto",8 years old
but wouldn't change it for an Amiga!
Not bad 85O cc,95 MPH top speed and
noisy as hell...
My hobbies are Railways and computing,
I spend hours photographing Locomotivs
when the weather is good. I live close
to the Railway so I have few problems
getting out,it's my way of getting
away from the '64 from time to time
and getting fresh air.
I've had my '64 since early 1983.
Probably one of the first 64's in the
UK. I started cracking early simple
games just to shorten the tape loading
time,and most of my stuff was then
"<L" Turbo,as I did not get my Floppy
drive until 1985.
I used to buy originals for my two
youngest daughters,yes I was being
ripped off by the software houses like
a lot more people. I then got trading
within the UK with some of the
prolific groups of that time: ECS
(Later FUSION),TCS,ZENITH and LAZER,
also later with DCS and IKARI. At
present I have around 8O contacts in
Europe and the UK.
? what did you do ever since you got
your first 64?
! I did not seriously start cracking
until 1989 when RAISTLIN sent me an
intro which I first used on,I think
it was "POGOTRON". I carried on alone
as DERBYSHIRE RAM for all of that year
I got my originals,mainly Budget,from
two sources,both of whom worked in
Computer stores.
During 1988/89 I was asked if I would
like to join IKARI as a spreader and
RTI as an active member but I declined
both offers even so I spread lots of
wares from both groups. I never did
(and still don't) rank myself as a
cracker,in the eyes of some of the
cracks I have seen over the years I
have never considered myself good
enough to join a group.
? why did you join dominators and to
what conditions?
! I joined "DOM" in the late February
last year after many persuasive
letters to convince me that I was good
enough. I had always considered DOM to
be a good steady group,I was flattered
but did not want to let anyone down.
I joined on condition that I got no
hassle from the other members,just to
carry on cracking Budgets and single
file games using a DOMINATORS intro.
Currently I am playing a very minor
role in DOM,originals are much harder
to get and having no modem,very little
chance of First Releases.
? please tell us a bit about your
favourite books,movies,tv shows etc!
!-BOOKS: My favourite books are centred
on novels set around the Sea. Douglas
Reeman is my favourite author.
-TV: I've had a lot of favourite TV
programs in my 35 years of viewing,
at present I am into "STAR TREK - The
New Generation" and thrillers but I
never missed an episode of "HILLSTREET
BLUES" I detest all the Australian
soap operas being screened on TV at
present.
-MUSIC: My taste of music is varied.
I hate this modern shit,it's a wonder
if any of the young generation will
have any hearing by the time they are
4O. It's not music to me. I like
ELTON JOHN,CARPENTERS and a lot of the
6O/7O's music. I also listen to a bit
of classical stuff. I've my favourites
like THE PLANERS SUITE etc.
-MOVIES: Don't have much time for going
to see movies usually watch them when
they get onto TV but my all time
favourites are BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER
KWAI and SOUTH PACIFIC,some very good
music in that one.
-FOOD: I like junk food. It's about all
I get time to eat. My favourites are
"AMERICAN HAMBURGER PIE" and "CORNISH
PASTIES". But I do get a craving for
LOBSTER,CRAB and most shellfish when
I can afford them.
-DRINK: Cool clear water -true!
If I am out but driving I drink a low
alcohol German beer called CLAUSTHALER
which is brewed in Frankfurt. If I am
not driving then I drink MANSFIELD
DARK MILD though I must confess that
I got hooked on SCHNAPS...
ECHTER STEINHAGER I think it was
called during my frequent visits to
Obrigheim/Mosbach and Eberbach...
Yes, I really loved Necker Valley.
-GAMES: Well being an avid railway
fanatic I mostly play one of the many
simulations that I have,these numb
your mind instead of your joystick
hand. But I did like "DEFENDER OF THE
CROWN" and spent hours playing it.

how is it,being "corruption's most
active guy of the month april" ?
! I didn't know I was ! Well,what I do,
I do for fun,free and pleasure.With
the time I have,I do as much as
possible.If people don't like it,then
they can run and jump !

in the gamers guid period,we have
nowadays,nearly everyone tries to make
short cracks,with very short intros
and ugly intros.illusion doesn't seem
to care,you still use your old and
"long" intros.so am i right to
suppose that you don't mind this
trouble ?
! Personally I like Gamers Guide.What
people should bear in mind is that if
your intro crunches at 25 blocks and
your 4th then you're doing well.What
Gamers Guide could do,is to include
the size of the intro crunched,but
it's making the fuds about nothing.
2O blocks sounds a lot,but that could
be a difference of the group's intros.
ILLUSION will at most points use a
nice intro unless we for some reason
can't.We have a 4 blocks intro but
rarely has been used.

at one time,the uk scene was the best in
the europe,with some of the most
superior crackers ever,like WEETABIX or
MEGASNAIL and the most consistant
cracker of all time TRI-DOS... but with
all three of these guys leaving the
scene at least over one year ago and
others like MR.SOLO,STEVE,MIK,JUST ICE.
the uk is becoming the smallest cracking
population in europe,all it takes is for
about 4 or 5 guys english guys to quit,
there would be nothing left.to find a
mail trader is even harder.i personally
only trade with one english guy.
but england is renowned for its fast
originals and of course its budget games
to be fair,the 64 scene has deterioted
so much,compared to 2 or 3 years ago,but
in my opinion it is the most enjoyable
and comfortable period ever,in which
releasing 5 games is a miracle,taking
your time over 1 or 2 is a lot more
relaxing.
the lack of games and challenge will
eventually kill the 64 to its dying day,
all i can say is if you don't like it,
quit !!!

norway called "selsbakk skole".straight
across the street,there is a huge
shopping centre where you can find :

dentist,doctor etc. at this shopping
centre,you will also find a filling
station where you can buy almost every-
thing.less than 5 minutes away from the
partyplace,there is a video shop where
you can hire your favourite films.
there will be space for about 700
persons,so it's actually bigger and
better than "tonstad skole".in other
words this party will be better than the
last trondheim-party in 1989.
as usual,smoking and boozing is not
allowed at norwegian schools (Ed.:Bah!)
if you want to party this way,or get
tired of computing,you'll have no
problems finding a place to party,as
trondheim is the 3rd biggest town in
norway and the bus-connections from the
partyplace are good.
HOW TO GET THERE :
by plane : take any plane to trondheim.
the plane'll land at waernes
airport near trondheim.from
the airport to the town,you
can either take a taxi(this
is very expensive)or you can
ca ch the airport bus.
by train : you can take trains from both
north and south of norway and
from sweden.the trondheim
sation is located in the city
centre.
by car : just follow the signs for

FROM THE TOWN CENTRE TO THE PARTYPLACE:

music competitions on both amiga and 64.
there will not be any public voting,
since this always results in unfair
results.we will assemble a jury,
consisting of arrangers and visitors
from several computers.some of the best
demos and graphics will be shown on a

the demo-compo is set to 24.00 on
saturday.time limit pushing will hope-

crunch your demo in time,you are allowed
to start it from a monitor/assembler.

another month,another scandal.starring:
STING OF IKARI AND TALENT

this time he ripped the iffl-routine,
which was coded by tyger of genesis
project,as he still was in tristar+red
sector inc.sting used this routine in
his "cracks" of cygnus and scooby doo.
but let's start from the very beginning.
as tyger was still in paramount and
sting pretended still to be in,although
he was already in talent,sting asked
tyger to send him his new coded iffl-
routine,because he wanted to pack a new
paramount first-release with it.
(that's what he said,but in fact...)
and so,as tyger believed in sting's
words,he gave him the routine.
as tyger got to know that sting was
already in talent and not as he claimed
before,still in paramount,he called him
several times,in order to avoid that
sting uses his iffl routine,but he was
"never at home".after a long time tyger
finally managed to get sting on the line
he asked tyger if he would like to join
talent,but tyger refused and demanded
him,not to use the routine and sting
agreed.
some days later,tyger joined the 64
division of tristar+red sector inc. and
made a crack of 'cygnus' and gave it to
atc,but they were unable to fix it !
on the next day,he made an iffl version
of this game and spread it by mail.
a few days later he saw also an iffl
version of this game done by sting of
talent on the boards,fixed by pudwerx.
as tyger checked "sting's" iffl routine,
he identified as his own one.sting has
only changed the text output,which is
shown,while the routine is scanning.
sting even pretended that he has coded
this routine and he didn't give any
credits for using it !
there is absolutely no doubt about
sting's guilt,tyger showed the
documented source-codes to several guys,
who can witness that sting has ripped
this routine from tyger !!
now sting even pretends on the boards
that tyger has ripped the iffl routine
from him !!! strange...

Once more,it's time for another report

WILDCAT OF ICS

as you've seen in the feedback chapter
of this issue,we got a reaction from him
in which he didn't even deny all these
reproaches.here are some news about his
activities,written by gabriel/the force!
lately the lamer hit the bottom !
in his latest "crack" of of chips
chaleenge he wrote "levelforced",then he
wrote "levelforced by wildcat used for
the first time".
1.) levelforcer is the name of the iffl
routine coded by gi 909 and el dio
of the force,so he did not under-
stand that levelforcer is the name
gi 909 gave to his iffl.
but wildcat is so accumstaned to
rip that he ripped also the name !
2.) the code is not done by him as he
wrote in his scroll,but by mamasoft,
a great guy !
this dude was a friend of wildcat.i
said "was" because last year he died
tragically in a car accident !!!
wildcat is so bastard that he ripped
the routine without giving any
credits to mamasoft !
all this is so distusting ! that's why
we wanna beat his ass ! so what about
joining the faw ???

the lamers in active try to fool us with
faked vote-sheets.they've sent in two
vote-sheets after each other,one shouldz
be from moon of flash inc and the other
one from tornado of dfx.we discovered
the truth,as we compared the hand
writing of these two sheets,they were
equal.another mistake,they made,is that
they voted in both sheets in a wrong
voting system,they gave points from 0-10
as in mamba.
as we got a vote-sheet from moon,we gotz
curious,as we trade with him and the
hand writing looked very different.
the sheets,came from lulea,the city
where surfer/active comes from.
the sheets are now on the rubbish dump!
people often talk about protections of
games and how long it took them to crack
them...but now a new period has began...
digital marketing's "disc magazine
creator" is now over 3 months on the
market and nobody has released it yet.
as it seems,the protection is too hard
for all the wannabe crackers.
by the way,this protection is called
"neuro-protect" and was written by
snacky/genesis project.although nobody
could crack this protection yet,snacky
has already coded a new and better one !

"ice cream castle",the problem is that
the pictures are just 22 lines high
instead of 25 and so are just 6,16
pictures in the memory...
he just left out the three upper lines.

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT...

SES did not really consider that routine
with 29O sprites hard to code... We were
quite surprised and amused to listen to
the many silly rumours which said that
29O sprites were impossible to code.
Some said it's only characters...
well,but how should there be so many
characters in the border? simply check
the code and you will see,it is a pure
sprite-routine!
Others said there are not 29O sprites
but simply 3 characters in each sprite.
That would only be 29O/3 = 96.6 sprites.
but,if you have a closer look at all
these characters then you will recognize
2 important things:
-all characters have different colours.
-each character is displayed in single-
colour (hires) mode.
now,think! if there were really 3 chars
in one sprite then the sprite would have
to be in the single-colour mode and have
3 colours (one for each character) at
the same time!! well,don't you think a
routine that displays so many multi-
coloured sprites in hires-mode would be
10 times harder to code than 290 simple
sprites?!? using the trick with several
characters in one sprite you can easily
display 600 "cheated sprites" like crest
did in their nice "ice cream castle".

SEX'N'CRIME by himself while others say
OMG is ANTICHRIST and SCRAP...
well,antichrist is not a bad cracker.
so,if omg is antichrist why should he
not be able to link sex'n'crime?
besides,scrap is a pretty good coder...

Some say "lame OMG can't do anything"...
well,maybe these people don't know that:
-before omg changed his handle he was
called "the nauseating timelord" (tnt)
and he did not only build genesis but
he was also the leader until he was
caught by the police in 1989.
-omg and thomas ackermann made all the
famous party-posters which were printed
in germany's biggest official computer-
magazine "asm" and several scene-mags
like "illegal","news" and "smasher".
-in january'1988 omg won the first price
of a monthly graphic-competition in one
of world's very biggest computer mags:
"computer+video games" (c+vg)
-in 1987 he coded the first 14 intro-
makers for genesis. these intro-makers
were even used and spread by radwar,fcs
and hotline.
-omg was the first to make various title
pictures for magic disk and game on.
-when germany's biggest c-64 magazine
"64'er" reviewed digitial marketing's
first demo designer,the screen-shots
they printed were koala-pictures done
by omg.
-omg invented and edited "sex'n'crime",
the very first disk-magazine ever...
and if that would have been bad then
not everybody would have imitated it!
there are many more reasons to think
about twice before calling omg lame...
lamers should accomplish more first!

Some say MAMBA is a fair magazine...
maybe they don't know that...
-mamba wrote markus wiederstein gave the
original of "crime time" to genesis. due
to these wrong accusements he got some
trouble with starbyte and the police...
finally things were cleared up and facts
proved that it had not been him to give
it out. (ask starbyte!) of course mamba
neither apologised nor corrected it...
-mamba wrote 3dk and jack daniels drove
to aachen to discuss the new mainprogram
of corruption with omg. well,they never
did... but of course mamba didn't bother
correcting anything at all... and there
are many more points like that.
-mamba's list of first releases is a
good idea.. however,they cheat it all
over. first they counted anything that
was out,of course any budget game,too.
when we started up "bad taste" and we
suddenly released more games than any-
one else mamba suddenly changed rules.
somehow none of the 9-10 first releases
from bad taste were counted although
they did count disney-teach-software
from "lamers'r us" before! when we re-
leased a "game on" game under bad taste
then it was not counted as first re-
lease... but when any other group put
out an equally bad game then it was
counted of course! best example were
paramount. sting recracked some very old
"game on" games and changed the graphics
a bit. that shit was of course counted
as first release while nothing from bad
taste was counted. all those crap-
releases like "protronix" or "enforcer"
were listed up as first releases for
paramount,although no company ever
released them. it was only selfmade
and ripped trash... spalters and bad
taste released many better games than
that but they were ignored because
otherwise paramount would not have been
on #1 ...so,mamba is manipulating all
over. in "sex'n'crime" recrackers,
rippers and cheaters were banned and
put down by giving facts and proves.
mamba is writing shit about many people
without any reason at all.mamba's line
of argumentation looks like this:
"omg is lame because omg is lame!"

Some say GENESIS splitted up and a few
members built up BAD TASTE. Others say
BAD TASTE is a "subgroup" of GENESIS...
some months ago most american elite
groups started low budged labels...
whenever games were so bad that no
elite group would seriously release
them,they simply released it under a
"lame" fake label. later also european
elite groups released bad games under
weird fake names.
actually these labels were open secrets.
all elite people knew it. however,still
80% of the lamers in the scene do not
know about this,so they do not at all
understand what all this is about...
frankly,whenever a game is so lame that
we normally would not put it out,we use
our "bad taste" label. we decided to do
that after so many lamers released lame
crapgames and were even proud to release
that shit. as bad taste we released the
same games as all those lamer-groups and
we made the same bad versions. we didn't
insert trainers and often we didn't even
bother cruel-crrunching most of our lame
cracks... well,the funny thing is: most
lamers didn't even notice that bad taste
was just a joke... because in their eyes
bad taste releases were not worse than
their own average! there was no reason
for them to think bad taste was a fake
until we released the weird bad news.
we just ridiculed all the many lame
mags like "cowabunga" and the like.
most of all it was ment to write some
hilarious nonsense. just for fun...

the c64 is older than genesis...
