Spread da word! For the 20th time this chapter is launched. Yes that is right. this chapter was presented in issue # 01 and has been a part every time. - I will not exactly claim that I invented this chapter. Other forms of it has most probably been in magazines released before this one, BUT, I do believe that Skyhigh made it quite po- pular along the way. Many sceners, and even software companies, saw the opportunity to get some free ad- vertisement for their products or to spread their public notes for a massive range of people. Recently many sceners has opened their eyes to use chapters like this to search for lost contacts. Well, what can I say... This is the perfect way to get you message spread massively without having to send out hundreds of envelopes. I'm very happy for the people who I am able to give a helping hand. Do you need a helping hand to get your public note well spread, then I would suggest you to mail it to me, and I will see to that it is included. The formate in which you write the message doesn't really matter I would prefer 40 char wide upscroll or facenoter formate though. But a piece of paper (readable!!!) will do the job just as well.. One of them is my very good friend from Holland Calypso. This time he is enjoying the help once again, but unfortunately with a rather sad twist. I will let him do the talking. The end of an empire! - A legend retires! After many years in joy and fame the quest ends! The handle... CALYPSO/AMNESIA/ALPHAFLIGHT CALYPSO/AMNESIA/ALPHAFLIGHT Yes, finally after many years, I've decided to cease my swapactivities. Eventhough I have pronounced this for a long time, this will come to you as a shock! The final drop that floated the bucket, fell this week. Once again, my main drive fucked up. I tried to get a new one, and it looked like I succeeded. but, this drive turned out not to be 100 percent either. This is enough! Ofcourse, there are more things that brought me to this decision. An important thing is that the thrill of swapping has gone for a long time already. Other things have gained my interests, such as cracking, coding and ntsc-fixing. I didnt find fun in swapping anymore for a long time! Other reasons, such as moving house and starting a life with my girfriend are explained plenty of times before. so I wont go any deeper into that! Anyhow, I dont wish to get too sentimental about this all. Afterall, I'm not leaving the scene. I just de- crease my swapactivities. Ofcourse I will keep swap- ping with a limited number of friends. A list will follow later on! As this is most likely my last public note, I will add some words to those so-called megaswappers. Many of you call yourself a megaswapper when you have about 100 contacts!! Please guys.. Dont offend the real megaswappers! 100 is just a standart amount. Also, for those who think they're the best, and reach the #1 spot, then start to wonder how you got it!! Many of you spread tons of votesheets, to collect points! This is wrong!!! A real top-swapper should not need any sheets to become #1. I personally never had to spread a single sheet to become the #1. This in opposite of many many other that have become #1 and are yet to be #1. This is something to think about!!! For the mageditors a hint: If someone spreads sheets for you, then dont give him the points that are given to him on the sheets you get from him. This is more fair. If you do this, I wonder how many people remain that still spread your sheets. And see.. How right I was about all those poor spread ers. Anyhow.. At last I will print a list with people that I got to know during the past years. The ones that find their name written in CAPITAL let- ters, are the ones that I will stay in contact with. Another buddy of mine, Bizarre, is having a struggle with the post. Read on... -------------------------------------------- Information about the post by Bizarre/Onslaught - Nov 26th 1995 Well,as I don't feel like repeating what I am gonna write now millions of times to each contact,I decided to write and spread this note that includes all the things,each of you HAS to know in order to continue our swaptime... 1) Last thursday ,I had to visit them ,as they otherwise would have consulted a state attorney,and this would not have been funny at all. That session lasted 3 (three) hours..To prevent further damage,I of course admitted everything (stamp cheat) ,so as far as they told me,nothing much is gonna happen.. I "just" got to pay them 350 dm .. That's all.. 2) They have observed my sendings since 1993 already... Maybe some of you remember me having problems with the post in July 1993..They never knew who I was... Unfortunately they got me now due to my postbox that i had opened in February.. 3) I could see an internal paper written by the post, including the following handles: Intruder/Avt - Didi/Lxt/Atl - Neotec/F4cg and Glare/Smash So it seems they are gonna try to get them.. I don't know why Neotec was on the list,because I haven't yet been in touch with him.. 4) I was allowed to take all sendings they kept during the past 5 months..first I had to open all cheated sends..Well. They then took copies of each of the cheated envelopes..For some reason I was allowed to take the cheated stamps back home..hehehe..Lamers.. 5) SUCK/EQUINOXE you are already busted. as you idiot cheated very BAD and wrote yer addy on the back of the envelope.. No personal offence,but you'll be vi- sited by the post soon, better get rid of all cheat equipment.. 6) 12 of the sends I posted were held..= incl. RAP/ONSLAUGHT - DIDI/XT - VAGUE LXT - SCATMAN/CHROMANCE - ALEXSOFT/ DN and others..I 've already recontacted the other ones..but those above mention ed will get another send soon...
