Skyhigh 20 The charts - part 1
From C64 Diskmag Wiki
The charts - part 1 Welcome to the charts of issue 20! From now on this chapter is hosted by the man with the can (??), Shuze of Alphaflight. We wave a sad goodbye to Caprice Design, as he passes with the New Year. OK, a measly 99 votesheets were all that has been returned over the past months. And, here are some statistics for them: Po. Country of filler Amount of sheets --------------------------------------------- 1) Poland 36 2) Germany 24 3) Holland 6 4) Slovakia 5 5) Norway 4 Sweden 4 7) Australia 3 Hungary 3 9) Belgium 2 Czech Republic 2 Denmark 2 Turkey 2 U.K. 2 14) Austria 1 Finland 1 Spain 1 So, as with the last issue, there are a lot of Polish voters. But, I do not think it is quite as severe as last issue. I have heard a lot of people moaning Polish-only productions making it into the charts. If you don't like that, then instead of sitting around moaning, fill a sheet to try and change the charts! OK, and now we move onto the: VOTESHEET SPREADERS VOTESHEET SPREADERS Pos Spreader Name Points --------------------------------------------- 1. SHUZE/ALPHAFLIGHT 21 1. SHUZE/ALPHAFLIGHT 21 2. Special congratulations to that super-cool guy at number one for spreading all those sheets...... 8-) OK, this issues award for the worst handwriting goes to Vengeance/Onslaught, for giving me a living hell trying to decipher his writing. Thanks a fucking lot, mate.... The charts were done using Doxx's Ultravoter 2.0. And here we have: DEMO GROUP DEMO GROUP Pos. Last Group Name Points --------------------------------------------- 1. (18) Chorus 54 20. (27) React 49 OK, massive movements from Triad and Beyond Force. Maybe Triad will give us a new demo soon, since they are active cracking again, and Kingfisher has shown some signs of activity! Oxyron hold off the real competition well, but look at the gap from 5th to 6th places! Camelot actually scored 366 points, and would have had 6th place. Elysium plummets from the top ten, and Padua drop out the top twenty. Just missing the chart are: Light - Fatum - Plush - Megastyle - Albion - Samar CODERS CODERS Pos. (*) Morris/Agony 39 20. (*) Scroll/Megastyle 36 Well, Mr Sex knows how to do it is style, eh? He has blasted MMS off the top! TTS is finally dropping a bit, and Quiss does great things to dive up to the top! TDJ went flying out the chart, losing 20 places this issue. Fuben will rise a lot higher, as will Grabba who was responsible for the collection of tunes from Compod. Slammer/CML got 6th position on 284 points, and Glasnost got 14th with 77 points, but they are ignored. Just missing the top twenty are: Ed - Explorer - Gremlin - Yabba - Tecmo - Mr Fiz MUSICIAN MUSICIAN Pos. Last Musician Name Points --------------------------------------------- 1. (*) Orcan/??? 44 After last issue's shock of PVCF gaining the top place, PRI and The Syndrom show their anger by flying back up to the top two. I guess those two will always fight it out. A great position for the truly talented Shogoon, and Fanta looks like he may jump into the top 5 soon.... But who would leave it? Drax will probably go a lot higher again, since he has done so many tunes for magazines like The Pulse, and for demos by Fuben/Oxyron. Jeff/CML actually scored 167 points to take 9th place, and Metal scored a hopeless 95 to get only 15th place. But, they are not included since they are Camelot members. Metal will soon re-enter the top ten, then will probably kick the pretenders to the throne, if he gets active. Just missing the top twenty were: Deek - Bax - EVE - JCH - Laxity - JVD - Arne - Peet ARTISTS ARTISTS Pos. Last Artist Name Points --------------------------------------------- 1. (19) Hein Designs 39 (*) Owen/??? 39 Whoops, all change. No big changes in the top ten, just a lot of switching around. Good jumps from Lord Red, Jetan, and Cronos, and a great entry from Earthquake. Rob actually got 71 points to get joint 15th place, and Biz Kid (???) got 45 points to get a joint 17th, but they are not included. Cupid will be deleted next time. Just out of range of these charts is Cartoon/Vermes, who did a HUGE jump of 15 places. Just missing the chart this time were: Alien Prophet - Dane - Jester Kyd - Thorp - Dogma MAGAZINES MAGAZINES Pos. Last Magazine Name Points --------------------------------------------- 1. (21) Viadro/??? 51 20. (22) Grapevine/TDR 47 (31) Smash/System 47 Congratulations are in order for those hard workers at Onslaught Design for getting Vandalism to the number one spot at last, and doing it in style, by over 80 points! Lets see if they can keep that spot. A great score also for The Relax, with a shock entry into the top ten. I imagine it will get higher. But, a few people had to suffer, and one of which was The Tribune, and it only managed a poor score, which I know they will not be satisfied with. Also, Mendip and Vitality lost some places, mainly due to their being less Polish voters this time in the second case, and Arcoss not having released an issue of their mag for so long. A massive entry for Splash, but with many of their members joining Onslaught, we may not see the mag again. Revealed had 67 points, so would have had 17th place. Just missing the chart were: Trawnik - Contrast - Mouse - Controversial - Driven Now load the next chapter.
