The Intruder Story

Welcome to the world of the number one swapper in
the C64 scene today. Here you'll read a kind of 'self-
interview' done by, and with :

Been so many words so much to say;
words are not enough to keep the guns at bay.
Some live in fear, some do not.
Some gamble everything on who gets the final shot.
Oh don't talk to me of love,
it's obvious, it's not enough!
Annihilation, kill them all!
Capitulation, watch the mighty fall!
The road to glory is lined in red.
And thought the reason now is gone,
THE BATTLE RAGES ON ...

The story-tale:

Once uppon a time ...

The little Stefan visited his friends again as they got
a cool and totaly new machine. With this machine you
were able to play cool games the whole day long.

A C=64!

The little boy was in a totaly pure boys-class (no
girls bcoz of a technical branch) and as more than
half of the guys in his class got this machine, he de-
cided to try in getting it also.

He played BRUCE LEE with his friend who called him-
self "Blacksoft". Yeah! all his friends took names
with "soft" at the end.

"This is cool!" Stefan thought and so he called him-
self "F.I.-Soft".

He had lots of discussions with his strange parents
bcoz they talked shit like "school is more important!"
or so.

After some weeks of hard "crying" he catched the
permission.

But this was just the beginning ... He talked with his
brother (he's one year younger).

He agreed and so both started in getting a job as lou
sy paper-boy.

After about six month they got together 1200 German
marks which was necessary for getting this machine
together with a thing called drive.

Most of his friends owned a tape but the little Stefan
found out, that a floppydisk is much faster and has
more future.

In between the design of this machine changed. Ste-
fan phoned around to some important sales-houses
and ... they didn't know exactly but thought, the old
programs also work at the C II.

Stefan was happy...

He bought his machine from a big catalogue called :
"Quelle".

He bought also some empty disks for the price of 70
MARKS per ten pieces at a very small and unimportant
shop called Vobis. The office of this shop was about
50 qm big and only this wizzard stood there every-
where- C=64. (Vobis is nowadays the biggest computer
shop here in Germany but forgot his friend the C=64,
they also don't sell 5 1/4 inch-disks anymore since
years).

Back to the little Stefan ...

On august 8th of 1984 he got it !!!

First reading a little prospect (not a description) ...
Plug all those cables together. His joystick was from
the old Atari 2600 (first game-module).

Yeah! now here it was .. The text which never changed
in C=64-history "Commodore 64 basic v2".

But what now ??? he phoned some of his friends and
they came and gave Stefan all that software he need
ed.

Also the first fastload-system which printed a line:
"Fastload by Th. Tempelmann. Cracked by Knacki Dr.".

Wow ... Fastload ...

After some days the little Stefan tryed some weird
commands like "print" and so.
He still owns his first program which shows two pigs
fucking eachother.

He found out a poke (53281,0) which changed the co-
lor!!! Hell! he was a god in coding he thought.

But ... this friend already knew a command called :
"for-next-bow".

Together they found out a cool screenflash.

Then a new programe came: "S-mon".

F.I.-Soft was able to get his name in this fastload-
line ... yeah !!! He reached very fast a much higher
knowledge as his friends.

At the age of 14 he renamed into ... THE CHAMP!

He joined his first group called "Oma-Soft" which con
sists of about 20 people from his class.

After a year passed ... Some very cool people pro-
grammed the first intro's. That was cool .. never seen
before! Also the first packers came and.. they worked
!!! (I got em in about 1986).

A biiiig revolution came ... Hires-pictures !!! Programs
like "KoalaPaint" allowed to paint (!) at this computer

The magazine 64-er started short before.

The Champ joined Megamosh ...

When the first rasterbars flashed across the screen
Stefan did all to learn programing such cool lines. He
bought books and learned assembler.

Then he ripped like a pig and stole every new code.
He also ripped intro's and replaced his handle and
group init. That was great! Everybody did so ...

But then a big clash came ... logo's !

How to replace a logo ???
The first ones were some lame one-color-logo's but
much to heavy for a lamer like Stefan was.

He learned and ripped and learned ...

The usual time he was online was about 10 - 15 hours
per day and more !

Late at night... five am or so ... his father came to his
room and took the computer with him. From this time
on stefan got his beloved machine about one hour per
day.

He reached the targed his parents wanted to see.
Being better at school again. So he got back his ma-
chine and still learned how to kick logo's and do (with
ripping-help) his own intro's.

That was the time our little Stefan, who reached his
16 years of age (1986), got in contact with several
people mostly local ones.

But his reign of trading expandet and he slowly got
contax all over Europe. After reaching the 50-pals-
line he dropped all (due to lack of money (cheating?
never done!)) lamers just to hold the best 15 of his
friends.

Shortly after the mightiest party (Radwar-session
1989) to which he got an invitation from MWS/Radwar
his luck broke down ... An ass betrayed all his contax
to the police as they caught him for setting an adver
tisement in the mag 64-er. The police stole all the
disks from stefan and his friends in MCA. Nobody got
a process or so; just some hundred disks were stolen.

Stefan's parents drove crazy and didn't allow furth-
er to use his beloved machine anymore.

And there was a great silence ...

Five years of dekay ... I left my fave-pub together
with my brother. Suddenly he stopped to kick a ciga-
rette. I stopped too but ... one step too fast. I fold
my leg and ... got a plaster cast to heal my broken
sinew.

At this time I lived alone in my appartment. I took my
girlfriend "Sabine" with me as she helped me to sur-
vive. Since this time we life together (know eachother
since more than five years now).

That was not enough ...

One day I found this C=64 again ... dusty, lay down at
a corner. As I had time like hell i build up that machi-
ne again.

Sometimes I meet with some friends (also a former
member of Mca and this alway's lame "Blacksoft")
coming to me, playing boulder dash till late at night.
Every dead boulder is a beer.

This was also not enough ...

I bought one of the last magazines ever available at
a kiosk - the "64-er".

Found two addresses init. One from an old man from
Berlin who sent me another addy from a guy who sell
cracked games (of course I never replied).

The other addy was been from a lame scener who sent
me the laaaaamest stuff until ... one day ... I got an
issue of The Tribune.

I took several addy's from it and sent the mag to-
gether with an entropy-tool-collection to em.

So I started and ... Couldn't get enough again.

A dream came true... Entering the scene with a mighty
clash! As I've enough money and time (and no parents)
I sweared not to stop until I reach the top ten.
I wrote more than 200 contact-sendings since last
year in April (when I started again).

I was groupless for a long time. Got the first few of-
fers (god a thanx that I haven't joined the Airwolf-
Team but I felt the lameness-area around the group
and so I refused) and joined after a long period in
Juni 25th 1994 ATLANTIS.

This group is quite cool as all it's members were in
real-life very funny persons and I've to thank 'em
alot. In November the scene slowly started to roar
about this newcomer "Intruder".
By the way, this handle came up in my mind as I drove
my bike, a 1400 vs Intruder.

So I took a short journey and was soon known as
groupjumper.

Atlantis-Alpha Flight
Alpha Flight-Excess
Excess-Avantgarde.

All done in November 1994 but ... AVT was my target
ever. As I've many many contax now I'll keep my high
standard (own personal note and a same-day-back
shit) nevertheless. I'll gonna finish this delay soon
(nah, did it already I mean) and will start now to be
back full power.

I've Had school over the summer (reason no. 1 for my
delay) which starts at early morning and ends late at
the evening. I also found back some sparetime for
watching some girly's in the bath or go camping with
my friends.

The first few weeks it was rather nice but ... some-
thing is missing in my life. Got it? yeah! I started to
swap slowly with my best friends and contax again to
get the latest.

In between I finally got my modem and did the first
calls. Also cards found the way to my phone and I
must admit, to call boards is rather different & very
cool. Ofcourse, I kicked "Escapade" three (!) times as
I never found the way out but ... Had massive help in
between and solved such kind of problems.

But ... a modem can't replace the mail-scene!

So I'll try both now which means better stuff for you
all out there.

well, maybe you're interessted in getting the whole
Intruder-contax-list ???

I'll send em not as contax-list, i just
send greets to the following persons:
