...and I get high with a little help from my friends...
THE X'95
Now then,again one of those boring party reports? Well,as BK asked me to,i will do one,but again just take it as a subjective sort of thing and no real re- port...
The X'95,the next aim i wanted to achieve after the ever so lovely X-mas party. What to expect? A big, overarranged event like The Party, a semi-scene meeting like the Venlo events, or a real succesor of the famous SLC meetings?
It all started out badly,as i found out,that my car just drives 140km/h,when driving to Intruder,where the hired van waited for me. From (I)'s place,we fol- lowed partly a map,partly our own imagination to reach the place where THE IGNORANCE/AFL'70 resi- des,got to know his wife and children,followed some lines posted by XenoX,ate breakfast,and headed off to the next station of our odyssey,namely Jack A- lien's castle,where Suicide/AVT,Robocop/Atlantis, and Didi/Atlantis/Laxity were also present. This was the moment where i took over the wheel,and we head- ed off for the land of cheese,windmills asand legali- zed weed....
Though i'm driving van in my social services,too,I did- n't know,that such a VW Caravelle is able to drive up to 180km/h,but it surely came in handy...
Oh,let's cut the crap...
Arriving at the party after some strange turns and shortcuts here and there,we were greeted by the Plush gang (Caprice Design and Honk) first and lotsa guys later on...
All in all,the party was cool,somehow a mixture bet- ween The Party and the Tribute 1994,meaning a good organization (Thumbs up folx!) and the cozy atmos- phere the "Gothenburg fiasko" offered...
The one and only thing i didn't like was the lack of real good releases,the few outstanding ones were only "Radio Napalm" by Reflex and "Parts" by Oxyron.
Among other releases were products from Black Code Design,F4cg,Cosine and a few non-demos,like the birth of a new mag by TRL Designs and a handy tool collection by Atlantis...
Of course there were some fake productions also, but i surely get tired of them...
Now then some Famous words on the party: Caprice Design/Plush: Gee,it's cold,i'm freezing... Devil/F4CG:You are no Viking,that's why!
Splatterhead(?) pointing at Spectator's STAFF sign: Do you know what this means? S pank t his a ss f or f ree!
Didi/Laxity: What's that sound? Cupid/Xtc/Equinoxe: Don't you worry,that's just the velocity control of this van...
Robocop/Atlantis after the travel to the next coffee shop,where Suicide drove to: Now i know,why he is called SUICIDE!
A PC-Guy,a lifetime asshole: Look at those germans, born low-lifes,you could recognize them miles away! Funnily enough he said this to me...
Cupid/Extacy/Equinoxe: Uh,look at that ugly logo there! ALien Prophet/Excess: Yes,i already suffered some minutes...
Now what the party saw:
-A big naked belly,with Jack alien attached to it...
-An Intruder that gave away everything he ate be- fore after smoking some joints...
-A totally pissed Morris/F4CG (own words!)
-Mr.Mister's one man show ("Where the fuck is the switch to turn this guy off?")...
-Danzig/TRSI substituting when Mr.Mister paused...
-Robocop,showing us all how to smoke two joints at one time...
- A PC guy,sleeping on the table while his Group- collegue checked his gabbertrax on a volume level that i couldn't stand...
-The reoccuring of Role,WOW(Wow!),Trl-Designs,Slash Designs...
-A nice picture by AP/Excess,that surely would have made a top-three place at the PC-Compo,as only crap was delivered...
-The birth of a new gamelabel...
-Some really funky Pc-Musics...
-Some Pc-Guys playing 1986 games with a C64 Emula-
tor...
-Bugged new issues of The Tribune and Relax...
-A very early leaving NTI/Angry ("I spread the Tri- bune,there is nothing more to do...")
And stoned sceners walking around in a good smell everywhere...
Some vital advices for the upcoming X'96,X'97...?
Never eat fries together with mayonaise and sauce, when you are not used to it,or at the verge of starving!
Never say "weed" when -P-/Slash is around(Hi!)...
Always wear sunglasses,when watching the 50 guild- ers note...
Do never expect the return to be the right amount when buying at the snack-bar,normally it's more than you expected...
Wear plastic clothing when Intruder is around!
Never try to fix a logo,when you are stoned...
Never try to sleep on a table when there are some TRSI and Avantgarde guys around,it's useless any- way...
Never allow Jack Alien and Ignorance to sit next to each other,as long as you don't want to hear insider talk the whole journey through...
Always check if your cardoor is closed before you'll start driving (Right,Robocop?)...
Never expect Utrecht to be alive...
And that concludes it... A nice party indeed,some more releases might have done the trick,but it was a real P A R T Y,and no real computer event...
