welcome to the fifth issue of
\ THE TRIAD GAMERS GUIDE /
games are added to the GUIDE as soon
as you send them to us. they will stay
in THE GUIDE for up to three issues
giving all a chance to appear.
we want to inform you of all the good
and bad sides of all the different
versions brought out by all the groups
on the cracker scene. send your cracks
to your friendly TRIAD contact.

* joy in port 1 or 2 to scroll pages.
* shift-lock to pause logo scroll.
\ GAMERS GUIDE /
we can not test every level of every
game, but we sure try to. let us know
when you find a bug or if we miss a
nice aspect of a crack.
games appear in alphabetical order.
they are then sorted in order of their
length, shortest first.
games are supposed to be entertaining.
anything that adds to the play value
makes us happy. things that fuck up
and irritate us lessen the play value.
if a WINNER-CRACK is appointed, this
is based on the understanding of the
game and the play value.
\ GAMERS GUIDE /
cheat mode is there to give the player
a chance to try hard parts of a game.
sometimes it is realy valuable to have
a lot of different possibilities. at
other times a bundle of cheats are
just silly and destroys the game.
a short 100% crack is better than a
long 100% crack since this indicates
that the cracker had a deeper under-
standing of the game. we then talk of
a real difference, not a few blocks.
a high score saver adds a lot of play
value to some games. if the saver is
added by the cracker,we are impressed.

a FIRST RELEASE shows us two things.
1:this group has a fast supplier.
2:this cracker can or can not work
under the preasure of a deadline.
we started displaying the first
releases to shut up the sour pussies
in CENSOR DESIGN.
now they complain because we show that
in many cases more than one group has
a claim for a FIRST RELEASE. since we
can not read minds, we have to go by
the information available to us. read
the comment after the listings!

not counted as part of the crack. when
they are left in the game, we note
this for fair comparison.
a highscore file or similar is not
counted as a separate file, but the
length is added to the crack.
highscore saver is noted as such but
not regarded as another '+'.
complaints we have on cracks are meant
as a help for you, not to make enemies

first to upload a game to a US board.
more than once we have found that
different boards show different firsts
a "big" board is more likely to be
busy. if that happens when a group is
desperate to ul what they know is the
first version, then of course they
call ANY board. since the scene is so
hysteric about being first it is very
likely that another group wants to ul
their version to the "big" board b4
they know about the real first. -->

big (for some reason) their first is
accepted and spread as a first.
since the smaller board knows what was
the real first they spread their
version and since some people are not
allowed onto the "big" board, they
gladly help spread the real first.
as a result of this, CENSOR DESIGN
says that we do a bad job. i don't
think we do. unless the US boards help
us, you will have to live with not
knowing what release was 20 minutes
faster than the other.

now i'm running a NICE group, that
most of the people should like at
least a bit. ah, by the way, i think
SPT/ACTION DECLARED WAR to us by now
coz he dislikes that CURLIN tells
shit about ACTION in VINEWS, but i
can't help it, it's everyones OWN
opinion. me and spitfire and the
other actioners are STILL friends,
