       brief venlo-december report
       ---------------------------

when i arrived in venlo, i was quite
surprised, because the hall was good
filled. i thought that it'd be a cool
meeting this month, but i was wrong.
most of the dudes were amiga-freax or
lamers. only a few cool guys showed
up like x-ray, culture, crest, crazy,
gp, afl, transcom, hitmen, action and
some more. it was a pity that all the
guys, who promised to come, didn't
show up. it was boring like hell,
nothing else than copying lame stuff
  was done.

the only interesting things in venlo
were all the magazines which were
  spread.
venlo is getting lamer and lamer.
nowadays it's only a waste of time
  and money... pyle/crazy

       the ruthless x-mas party
       ------------------------

after venlo we drove with 3 cars to
  the ruthless/silicon party in
uetrecht. after some hours of driving
  through thousands of dead-end streets
  we (crest,x-ray,crazy and dynamix)

finally arrived at the party place.
  the entrence wasn't that expensive,
it was something around $5. the party
place was something like a kinder-
garden and there was space for about
  350-400 people.
at the first day there were about
250 guys, but in the evening of the
first day some locals went home to
  sleep.
at the party there weren't that many
groups, but therefor cool guys. the
  following people were present :
  x-ray, crazy, crest, dynamix, 20cc,
black mail, trc, ruthless, house, clt
babygang, hitmen and a few other.

  the atmosphere was quite good...
lots of talkings...and lots of fun.

well, in fact the organization was
was very well-done, also the food
and the drinks were good and cheap!
well, nothing special happened on the
first day, so some guys from x-ray,
crest and hitmen started a little
drinking game. the first dude that
  left the table was arrogance/x-ray
(loooooser), but the game still was
going on. after some hours of killing
thousands of beer bottles, the winner
was clear and it was zoolook/crest.
  (yeah,congrats)

  after some guys went sleeping.(also
  me, pyle)
the next day was very calm, cos
  everybody had a bad headache(hehehe).
so the day went on with no special
sensations, except for one guy from
silicon, who started to rap like a
  professional. that guy was really
  cool, it was unbelievable.
well, at about ?? o'clock, the demo
  competition started. there were comps
for best demo, best music, best
graphics. the results were like this:
  best demo : 1. oregon
              2. house
              3. pain

best music : 1. audial arts
               2. hithouse/trc
               3. evs/20cc

  best graphics : 1. scorp/ruthless
                  2. reble mc/trc
                  3. pain

  after the demo-competition the party
  was officially finished and everybody
went home. all in all the party was
  quite nice !
...but too less elite groups were
  presemt...

the usa pirate scene - december 1990
 --------------------------------------

     a report by illusionist/random

the us pirate scene was dominated by
the guys in north east importers and
  legend. throughout the christmas
holidays many long awaited hits such
as : chase hq ii, special criminal
  investigation, shadow of the beast,
and total recall has been released.
in addition to these excellent games:
  exterminator, titbits, scumm, lettrix
  and helter skelter.

  legend and action were the
  contributors of this excellent
  display.

not to leave out the rest of the
  scene, of course. exodus released
saint dragon, fire & forget ii, crime
time, and un squadron (late last
  month).all three releases were great.
censor and genesis project with the
  cracks.

random, with narc, summer camp, and
huxley pig, stayed in a threatened
position. other imports are yet to

be fixed. and random's latest crack:
dragon strike from ssi and ea, was
  an excellent release. illusion and
  dominators were the contributors.

  destiny, still alive and well,
  released basketball manager, e-swat
and dino wars. and could have
released a preview of wrath of demon
that they had more than a week before
anyone else put it out. it was not
  released bacause phantasm was too
busy with work and working on other
  games. (apologies to culture were
  given, and accepted.) f4cg and
  paramount were the driving forces.

tsm, with ikari + talent, (hi darren)
  imported many games, which included:
  super ted, arcade trivia quiz,
  (excellent) kickbox vigilante, stun
runner and days of thunder. great
  contribution by ikari and talent.

  demonix released their christmas
  import with dynamix, sarakon.
  was a nice release.

  smack !"#$%

us importing charts as they should be
  for the month of december.

  1. nei
  2. tsm
  3. exodus
  4. random
  5. destiny

    acknowledgements and fuck you's
    -------------------------------

  facts
  -----

i joined random after calling pudwerx
  with icecube/dom... yup, icecube
got to losten to this memorable
  moment in pirating history! (oooooh)

cure called up pudwerx and told him
that he had no time for doing what he
did in random. girlfriend and the
disconnection of his line were the
  contributing factors.

grim reaper ragged the hell out of

tsm for releasing a game that they
had downloaded from the censor board,
which they released without a fix.
  yet, increasing tsm's popularity on
  the shitlist.

  druid/culture managed to get flat-
liner out of internet to interview
  him! (great work peter)

exodus is now grim reaper and ware-
  wolf and...(nobody)...damn!

  after calling pudwerx with nam/xtc
on the line, nam explained how every-

-one in extasy felt about giving
their cracks to random, and pudwerx
  reacted positively... the moral of
the story: etxasy trades with random.

the shadow, after attempting to rag
on destiny, was destroyed even by
  non-destiny memebers. damn shame when
destiny didn't even have to show to
get rid of the living shit.

banned in the usa number is
  XXXXXXXXXXXX. call it.

skreemer is out of exodus, no shit!

thor shall return... all he needs is
a drive and he'll be back in action.
he has joined random! now random is
a euro's trump card to boards.

scandle, an us at&t hacker, was seen
jumping from extasy to legend, from
  legend to paramount, from paramount
to legend, and back again, and
again? what a guy...extasy claims he
is not worth the efoort to call him.

i get punter lines with all culture-
  members...

  not so factual...
  -----------------

  gazoo/ex-xds (sysop of wild wares,
at&t's most wanted obs) joined skid
row as a sysop. he now runs 'wild
  ami-wares' with amiga-express and a
  1200 baud modem.

  cure's girlfriend is really
  mortician's (now scatterbraim/crest)
sister. dave says that she's a hell
  of a lay.

thor went to cure's house to play

with him, but cure's parents told
cure to say that he couldn't play
with thor anymore. more bad news.

the bit bandit, excell's threat to
society, was kicked off the forum as
a joke to see hew he would react.
surprisingly enough, he took it im
  harsh manner.

excell now has every film in the
market. some that are in editing
  sequences even! tri-star hired brian
  as a film-critic...

although bod was at a local party
during the new years, his pants
decided to catch the action at jade/
  dominator's party. jade's father
totally disagreed with the idea but
  jade kicked his ass.

  horizon/nec went to master kracker/
inc for advice on which condom to use
  for anal penetration.
popular belief is that horizon is
  still heterosexual.

  stormbringer woke up on tuesday
morning (jan 1, 1991) and his little

brother had already fixed turbo cart
and was upoading it to hit'n'run.
his brother then joined xds as a
  fixer.

  ...

  the end!

note that many parts of the report
were 'not so factual', for that and
other reasons, mamba< cut or changed
  parts of the text.(including some
  spelling mistakes)

anyway, big thanks to illusionist !
