yo anotha chapter from the wacko biz-man
is comming your way!
lot's of thoughts and ideas is about to
come your way right now!!!! so better
watch out and take good care!

       --------------------------

last time something very sadly happened
in this magazine!

i (biz kid) announced our new member :

                 suzuki

but as everybody should know by now then
this isn't true at all!!!

why don't i tell you all the true story?

well some time ago i got a letter from
this dude called suzuki! he told me that
he would like to join oxyron! and he
continued :

" i have talked with my two good friends
in oxyron : tts and axis.
they told me that it was ok with them,
but i had to ask biz kid aswell coz he's
the leader now!! "

well to be honest then i found that a
bit mysterious but i agreed and sent him
a note saying : "ok, you can join oxyron
but you HAVE to leave your other groups
or and just be in oxyron!"
i then asked him to do the oxy-intern
for skyhigh issue #13, but what a shock!
that punk wrote that he was still in 2
or 3 other groups! well that did piss me
off; but things got much worse!!!
suddenly i realised that this punk hadnt
even talked with tts and axis! (actually
maybe had, but they never told him to
ask me for joining!!!)
so now i got pissed - really pissed!!!
this little shit head had double-crossed
me just to get in!! well how low can you
go?? lying and cheating just to get some
un-deserved fame!!

a few weeks after skyhigh #13 was out i
was at a small oxy-meeting and talked it
all over with tts, axis, scrapper and
graham! i told them that i was sorry and
that i would deal with this punk myself!
so i send him a letter saying that he is
not in oxyron, and that i am very pissed
at him. if ever he should pop up at a
place where i am he should better leave
or keep VERY low profile, otherwise
something nasty might happend!!!!! so to
straighten things out one more time :

suzuki is NOT a member of oxyron

and i would advise other groups to kick
him aswell. this person has shown that
he is not to be trusted!!!!

so as you can see the main thing here is
communication! or rather the lack of it!
i know now that i should have checked it
out with tts and axis before saying yes!
but i believed this guy! that was a huge
mistake; and believe me i have learned
my lesson!!! from now on i will check
with the rest of my group before acting!

so this is the true story about how a
punk-kid tried to gain some fast respect
by lying and cheating on me!!

well as mentioned then i am the leader
of oxyron. rrr says that i (biz kid) is
not the leader, and that oxyron works on
a democratic basis!!! well he is partly
true on that. oxyron does work on demo-
cratic premesises, but i was told by
tts (and also axis i believe) that i was
now the leader of oxyron!
this is something that tts and i have
discussed for a very long time now!!
in the beginning everybody believed that
tts were the leader of oxyron, eventhough
he wasn't! he never wanted to be the
leader!! so he asked me if i wanted to
officially be the leader, and i told him
that i wanted to! well i forgot all
about our conversation for a while!
-untill now!!!! so whatever rrr says
then i was the leader of oxyron!!!
i don't wanna be a dictator or anything
like that! actually i have no intention
of 'leading' the group like that! all i
want is to make sure that oxyron will
continue releasing top-quality stuff for
our beloved c64 scene!
so don't see my leadership as much more
as a title!!! a title i wore with great
pride; but oxyron is and always will be
a democratic group!!!!

----------------------------------------

it's quite a few days ago since i wrote
the first part of this chapter, and lots
of things have changed!!!
some days ago i was talking to tts on
the phone; he gave me some very sad news
he (tts) and axis have both quitted the
c64 scene. they will now concentrate on
the amiga instead!!!! the reason or the
last straw that broke the camels back
was the party in sweden. tts told me
that he lost the last tiny bit of inte-
rest after the lame competition, and i
think the same goes for axis!!!

so i guess this is the end of an era!!

what a shame... but it have been a cool
time ruling the democharts for a veeeery
long time. we deffently released more
demos than most groups ever do. only a
few groups have released more than us.
i remember that tts told me once that he
coded 94 (if i remembers it correctly)
parts in 1993 for the comalight series.
i don't think anyone can beat that!
actually i have a hard time believing
that most coders ever edid that many
parts in their entire carreer!
but now it seems to be over! - graham
told me that he would continue coding on
the c64, and that's cool. BUT it will
never be the same !!! no one can ever
establish such a power as these two top-
coders did together. lots of times i
have been a vitness to their intern code
competitions. whenever one did something
new, the other made a routine which was
smaller, faster, had more colours, more
objects or simply much better!!!!!
but that deffently raised the quality of
the parts, and their coding skills!!!
no wonder they ruled the coder-charts as
they did.

admitted, i have always admired tts for
his way of beeing. not only is he a cool
guy, but also his way of living:
i don't ever think that dude slept much.
going to school, having 2-3 jobs, coding
almost the entire night, swapping and
even had a magazine to edit for a time.
i never grasped how he did it!! one word
comes to my mind : hyper - activity!!!
quite natural he made it to the top!

also axis is a cool guy! he never made
it as far as tts, but he is deffently
just as good as tts. actually a shame he
never got higher in the charts, but what
the heck, i don't think he cares that
much anylonger!
also scrapper has talked about leaving
the c64 and starting up a bit on the pc.
i also heard that pri has started com-
posing on other systems (amiga i guess,
or maybe pc - dunno!!) so it seems like
i am the only one sticking to the real
number one!!!

so i have made a choice!!! (and i have
informed tts about it!) :

i have decided to search for a new legal
ACTIVE demogroup to join!!!

yep that's right........

i will stay on the c64 for a looooong
time to come. in my eyes there's so many
things still to do. i have so many un-
done things to do. also i have this mag.
so whatever happens then skyhigh will
keep getting produced!! if no-one wants
me (which i have a problem believing)
then i'll continue my magazine under my
handle as i did in the beginning!! so
don't you worry :

              SKYHIGH LIVES

and will for a long time.
-sure i have some groups which i would
like to join, but i won't mention any
names now. i will have to talk with some
of my friends first!! but i guess you
already knows who i'm talking about!
but let's wait and see - right. only the
future can tell....

----------------------------------------

besides most oxyron members leaving the
c64 scene then other facts did that this
issue was delayed.

but read for your self !!

----------------------------------------

time to tell you a little story about
the delay of issue #14. some time ago my
girl and me splitted up. suddenly i had
to think about getting our house sold,
find a new place to live, my economy and
1000 other practical things! to be 100%
honest then the last thing on my mind
was the 64 and ofcoz skyhigh. not that i
had dropped or forgotten it; nope i sim-
ply gave it a lower priority.
now everything is solved between my girl
and me, and i'm back on track again. we
decided to give another chance.

but why do i write all this? is it just
a lame excuse for another delay, or what
is the reason??
well, ofcause there is as reason for
writing it...

          C64 OR THE REAL WORLD

some sceners take this computer way too
serious!! i myself take the scene very
serious, but not in that way. i like the
scene and its life. i respect the scene,
its sceners and its 'laws'. but i will
never let it control or interfer with my
life. sure i have made a reputation in
the scene; most dudes probably have
heard my name, biz kid, somehow or some-
where. whether you can call me famous or
not, most people know me by name. so now
i'm a 'c64 celebrity' ? FUCK NO...
ofcoz it's nice with the recognition,
and sure it feels good to be known. i
would lie if i said the opposite. sure
it means something to me, but still not
everything!!
but this is the point where someone
starts to change. suddenly they feel im-
portant, and they put on an arrogant
attitude. now they're ELITE (or at least
what they think elite is supposed to be)
but what is elite ? this topic has been
discussed hundred of times in various
magazines, and still no-one has come up
with a good definition. so i won't talk
more about that.(for now..)
charts! -a good way to see your position
in the scene. let me give an example :

composers. say BEAT-X (a fictive person)
is a very good composer. he has ruled
the charts for a long time. sure this
tells us that he is a great composer,
and he makes some cool tunes. but does
this make him a better person ? HELL NO!
still someone might think so. now he is
a hot-shot in the scene, but what about
the real life? is he also a hot-shot out
there? hmmm, probably not.
actually it might be direct opposite.
maybe he's a 'loner' in the real world;
maybe no-one wants to talk to him in
real life. so he becomes 'immortal' in
the scene. here he is something; here
people wants to talk with him; and they
wants his tunes. so what??

when the scene dies, what is left?

           N O T H I N G

only the real life. and he's still no-
thing. so maybe it's time to change in
the real world, to make people like you,
instead of playing a role to get some
attention for a few years via the scene.
the scene means a lot, but deffently not
all.
just recently a person left the scene.
all the time he was living in his little
imaginary elite-world. but he couldn't
control his attitude. suddenly he step-
ped too many over their feet, and they
started to step back. he tried to fight
'em, but he couldn't. he had destroyed
too much already, and he wouldn't change
so he had to quit.
he said he wanted more time with his
girl and his hobbies. sounds cool to me,
but maybe he wasn't telling the truth?
maybe it was just a bad excuse.
no one will ever know, and it doesn't
really matter anyway!

i think if his attitude were more modest
he probably were still here in the scene
gaining deserved respect. that's life..

just remember :

the c64 scene is just a small part of
you entire life, and nothing more. why
not enjoy what you get! real life is
still numero uno.
and to round it up: i had planned to go
to the -party iv- in herning this year,
but something came up. something in my
real life: i was invited to the canarian
islands from dec. 26th untill jan. 2nd.
sure it's tough luck that i can't go to
herning, but compared to this it doesn't
matter.
i know there'll be a lot of scene-life
in the future, but not if i'll ever be
invited on such a holliday again.

so have fun, and enjoy what you get!

----------------------------------------

                tunehigh

from whom you got this mag, remembered
