            the tribute 1994

it have gone some time since the
tribute. but i don't feel like thorwing
away this text so here you'll get my
report from the tribute.

i went up quite early this friday, at
5.45 to be exact. the train was leaving
borlånge at 8.07 and i had to get there
by bus. when i came to borlånge i
realised that the train was changed to a
bus instead. because of some work on the
railway. well, not much happend on this
trip. on the last train i sat beside a
nun. quite a bizarre feeling sitting
beside a nun and having "welcome to
paradise" by FRONT 242 on full volume on
the freestyle!

at 14.45 i finally came to gothenburg.
at the traincentral NEWSCOPY/gp showed
me where go catch the tram. so after
some more waiting i at last reached the
party place. i thought i was late but
only fifty people had signed in at this
point. i was number 50!

i went into the assembly hall where
they showed some censor demos. after a
while i found TCHAD and RIDDLER/active.
the papers said that we should share
room with FAIRLIGHT. but that room was
locked and the bus from stockholm hadn't
arrived yet so no flt member where there
either. so we put our stuff in the TRIAD
room instead and there we stayed.

as i said, not much people had arrived
so we which was me, tchad riddler, RAVE
and TWOFLOWER/triad, went to fix
something to eat, pizza. when we came
back the bus from stockholm had arrived.

it was said that TJOST should come
together with TABASCO and RED DEVIL/flt
+ HAPPYMAKER/reflex, which had been at
tabasco's place for a week. but the poor
tjost had to take the train. and as we
had decided that tjost should bring his
tv we had no tv to put up with
BUNGALOW's computer. but after some
dangerous surgery by SYNTAX TERROR that
was fixed too.

during the evening more people started
to pop in. for example from norway came
SHAPE, WAR DEAL LAMERS, ANTIMON and
JFK/triad.

but when the old legends which was
ment to come, never showed up. more and
more people started to booze. who will
ever forget a quite drunken BUNGALOW
speaking german?!

i slept nearly 8 hours the first night
which was quite good as the other night
showed up to be much longer.

on saturday i didn't do so much just
getting familar with all the people on
the party.

one thing hit me and it was how silent
the party was. no amiga owners with big
loudspeakers! and that the party was
spread out over a vast numbers of rooms
made it even more silent.

at 15.00 the 8mhz card was shown by
AIRWOLF-TEAM. quite funny event, now in
1 mhz mode and now 8 mhz mode......

aroud 19.30 there was jeopardy. but as
the competers and the organizers didn't
really know the rules there was rather
funny. must have been alot confusing for
NTI as he didn't know the rules.

during the evening most people who was
trying to have something in the demo
competition finnished it. i started an
interview with DANE/triad. but we never
finnished that one.

it was said that the competitons
should be at 0.30 but that got ofcourse
delayed.

first it was the music competition.
then the graphic competition. actually
the contributhons in the gfx and music
was very good. but the demos was not
that good. only 3 serious contributions.

FAIRLIGHT had a contribution in the
reu class. but we had to wait nearly an
half hour or so until everything was
loaded so that was not so funny.

after the competiton i didn't care to
make the usual "hunt" after all the new
wares. i just went to sleep. and slept
until 6.00 and at 7.00 i left the party.

i came home around 15.00 and after
what i've heard i didn't miss anything
special.

i must say that this party was a very
good idea that didn't turn out too good!

who will ever care about me

             when i'm dead?
