             "DEMO REVIEWS"

             by tch/brutal.

----------------------------------------
yoho demo dudes...
as i got some critics about the way i
'reviewed' demos i've changed that and
now i will first describe what the
parts show,i'll talk about the style
and design and then i'll give points!
due to this new method i couldn't
review much demos but if you've sent
me yours, then you can be sure to find
  it here!
  okay,lets start the show!

           BEYOND IMAGINATION

                   by

                  ANTIC

----------------------------------------
intro:it starts with a very clear digi
sample but due to the fact that i
      own c64ii i first didn't hear it..
after this there comes a nice logo
      and a simple text-output.
      the music is very nice!
as this is just the introduction
      and quite simple the antic'ers
asked me not to count this to the
      demo,and so i won't!
----------------------------------------
part1:on top of the screen is a single
      color "beyond imagination"-logo.
beneath this is a very cool afli
"antic" logo with a 2x2 scrolling
flexer over it in various cool
sinuses. and all at the bottom is
      an animated turning chessboard
      moving from left to right.
a very nice tune by lords of sound
is here to finish the part.
----------------------------------------
part2:the part starts with a 1x1 scroll
on the bottom of the screen and a
      very nice tune again!
after some time there appears a
big(!!) box with more than 16
colors moving up. they call it
eci-fli effect. it looks best if
you look at it from about 5 meter
      distance.
----------------------------------------
part3:a great "antic" logo on the screen
with a 1x1 scroll at the botom.
between this is a y-ax turning
"91",in 3d. after some time the
'91' disappears and a dypp takes
      its place (still y-a turning).
then both the dypp and "91" turn.
on one side there's the dypp and
on the other is the '91'.
the music was fucking cool, but due
to the fact that the dudes were so
fucking drunk at that time,it also
      bugs.

              CONTACT DEMO

                   by

                 CAPRIX

----------------------------------------
intro:on top of the screen is a nice
"caprix" logo and on the bottom is
      a very big hires-scroller.
between this is a textoutput to
      give you some info!
----------------------------------------
part1:again a hirs logo and under this
are some rasterlines and a mega
      dycp in the sideborder.
you can change the dycp sinus and
speed with a joystick in port 2.
----------------------------------------
part2:here are 256 plots which you can
control with a joystick in port 2.
there's a little scroll and some
      bouncing "caprix" sprites.
the cool tune was done by moon!
----------------------------------------
part3:32 bobs moving in a joy-controlled
sinus. a cool "caprix" logo swings
from left to right and back.
and again there's a very small
      scroller.
----------------------------------------
part4:a very cool logo (looks familiar
      to a 'bonzai'-logo by fox!),with
a 2x1 scroller bouncing on it.
      above this are pre-calculated dots
      turning'n'zoming a "caprix"-logo.
      the tune,done by mixer/origo,is
      old but cool!
----------------------------------------
part5:one ugly logo showing "the end"
with a 2x1 upscroller giving you
      the credits.
      a cool,but bugging,jeroen tel
      music is playing.
----------------------------------------
points:coding: 6 out of 10
       done by CAPRIX.

       graphix: 6.5 out of 10
       done by PLASMA DESIGNS.

       music: 7 out of 10
       done by various composers.

              INDEPENDENCE

                   by

                  NOICE

----------------------------------------
part1:this demo starts with some stars
moving in the sideborder from the
      right to the left side.
on top of this is a text-output
in a 3x3 single color charset.
      the stars will vanish.
      a nice 'noice'logo appears with a
      13x12 hires scroller. (each word
has its own color.) sometimes the
scroll gets interrupted by a text-
      displayer giving some credits.
      the music is very nice!
----------------------------------------
loader:a fast loader with a logo!
----------------------------------------
part2:again some moving stars from right
to left over a 3-tune vector music
      analyser,analysing a very neat
      tune,updating every frame.
under this is a 1x1 scroller on
      top of a 'noice'-logo.
----------------------------------------
part3:a cool picture of a dude. above
this are two rasterlines with a
      text-output in a 1x1 charset.
      above this is an e.c.i.plasma-box
      of 5x16 chars.
(with e.c.i. there are more than
       16 colors!!)
----------------------------------------
part4:and again there's a very cool pic.
      with some sprites over it.
above this picture is a 1x1 scroll
in sideborder. on top of the
screen is a noice logo with a
      'dypp-logo-filling-changer'.
(two the same logos with different
      fillings!!) the played tune is
      very nice,again!
----------------------------------------
part5:'noice'-logo,pretty shit!,with
      y-expanding sprites (ofcourse not
      the normal expand size!!)
under this is a dycp with other
      sinus for every letter. there's
      also a little 'independence'-logo
      moving in the downboarder.
----------------------------------------
part6:ugly picture,except for the cool
planet!!,with on top of the screen
      a dycp-ing hires scroller. (super
ugly!!) the tune is really good,
      but for the high notes!!!
----------------------------------------
part7:very good hires 'noice'-logo
      moving left'n'right. underneath
this is a trailblazer moving to
all sides. right under this is a
      flashing rasterline. and last
      there's a 2x2 dycp with every word
      its own sinus.
a very good convertion of a SNAP
      tune is playing!!
----------------------------------------
part8:in the middle of the screen is a
      multicolor 'independence'-logo
      swinging. (doing the samba!!)
under this is an 8-sprites dysp.
on top of this the screen is the
      maineffect of the part.
      it's a plot zoomer with a special
      zoomer with a pre-calculated sinus
      table. (sometimes 2 dots bug!!)
a cool music by fozzie is playing!
----------------------------------------
part9:'the lame end' as they call it.
a very good logo+picture is shown
on the screen and fills most of
      it. under this is a super-ugly 8x8
scroller which was coded in a very
      strange (and stupid) way.
the music is again very cool!
      you can control the scrollspeed
with a joystick in port 2!
----------------------------------------

              BRAINSKULLS 2

                   by

           The Soft Designers

----------------------------------------
introduction:a tsd logo comes from the
right to the centre of the screen,
      vanishes and a 1-line textoutput
gives the names of people that
      contributed to this demo. after
      this there's some crunching and
      the real intro starts.
----------------------------------------
intro:on the top of the screen is an
      oldfashioned tsd-logo with 'sat'
dypping at the left and right
      between two flashing rasters.
      "proudly presents brainskulls 2"
is moving under this. there's an
      8 sprites dysp sometimes expanding
      in y-distance.
there are also 2 3x3 scrollers
      between two rasterlines.
after space you'll have to choose
      what sort of dypp-tech-tech you
want to see in the next part.
a simple irq-loader loads the next
      parts.
----------------------------------------
part1:a big hires "brainskulls 2" logo
shows on top of the dycp-tech-tech
      you've chosen.
a very nice tune is playing.
----------------------------------------
part2:25 normal scrollers with different
      speeds. on the down-border there
go some sprites saying "brain" and
      then "skulls2".
      the tune is quite nice.
a new irq-loader with nice graphix
      replaces the old one.
----------------------------------------
part3:512 realtime dots in hires are now
making you nuts. under this is a
1x1 scroller and the same logo as
      in the intro!!
----------------------------------------
part4:on top of the screen is a fli-logo
which changes per line into an
other logo. the logo is also in a
tech-tech logo. under this is a
      textflasher,3 analysers and an 8x5
      charset. neat tune!
----------------------------------------
part5:neat tune mega dycp with
a 16 sprite multi plexer. nice
tune by drax. new irq loader with
      "loading" sprites in a circle.
----------------------------------------
part6:a very cool picture of a c128 with
on the monitor a moving tsd-logo,
"please turn disk" and a dycping
      3x3 pixel scroller.
      old but nice tune.
----------------------------------------
part7:a very big flexer is on top of the
      screen,followed by a 2x2 scroller.
under this is the same logo as was
used in the intro (again!!) only
the filling disappears with a dxpp
      sinus.
----------------------------------------
part8:a fast 3d vector plotter prints
      "tsd" between some rasterbars.
on the bottom are 2 3x3 scrollers
      with changing colors.
      the sinus is pre-calculated!
----------------------------------------
part9:again that logo!! and now it's
twice on the screen. between them
is a mega-dycp in the sydeborder.
      the tune is very nice.
----------------------------------------
parta:a moving "the end" and a 3x3
      sideborderscroller (with a bug at
the right!) in the same charset.
under this is an upscroller with
      credits+greetings. there also move
      some vector sprites behind the
      upscroller.
----------------------------------------
points:coding: 7.5 out of 10
