Propaganda 13 - The lost chapters
________________________________________
Dear readers,

For exactly 51 hours, your editor has
been trapped in front of the Commodore,
to finish Propaganda 13 - The lost
Chapters. And maybe it's true what
they say; That 13 is an unlucky number.

My collegue, Duke/Regina, cleverly
pointed out to me that I had run into
everything bad possible that could
happen to a magazine, and once I came
to think of it, he was right.

So what kept Propaganda from being
released?

As PSYCHOBILLY left the scene back in
December, he did so, leaving a hole
in the staff, concerning who was
supposed to be doing the list. BOD
was supposed to take up the job, and
it actually seemed as though he did
at one time, but eventually he faded
away from the boards, from the re-
leases and from his job at the staff.

Up to today, I've been hoping to see
the chapter of releases, but I've come
to realize that issue 13 will remain

an unlucky issue, without the work from
neither BOD or MAJESTY.

MAJESTY who usually provides you with
the more humourous angles of the scene
did not quite live up to the job this
time either, leaving me alone by the
keys, tapping the magazine in.

For months I've been waiting, as both
my staff-members have promised to come
up with their work in just some time,
but only to fail and making me
terribly disappointed.

Then, late March, I was going away to
Budapest for a week, and my thoughts
concerning the magazine were : put

it out! People at the scene were nagging
me like crazy for it, and told me to
release it without the goddamn list.
Once I got back, my stomach experienced
what one can call a gastric ulcer and
I had to spend some days at the
hospital, and coming back home from
that, I tapped my way along the
digital underground.

The job in staff for doing THE LIST
is currently available and I will
consider everybody leaving me a
serious suggestion at THE DUNGEON,
PROPAGANDA World headquarters.

I also realize we've lost ground of
the market, by not putting out our
promised product. I realize, some
consider they are several steps
ahead. Indeed, some may very well
be, but we intend to take back every
bit of the market we've lost, and
we intend to earn every bit of it.

We will work hard, not to disappoint
our readers again, as they are the
ones keeping the magazine alive,
and will do so for a long time to
come, if I get my story told.

We will take back market.

I would also like to take the chance
to say a few words about my dear com-
petitors at THE PULSE, since my letter
to DUKE got lost in the mail. Con-
cerning its 1Oth anniversary on the
April-issue, I would just like to tell
you a few words that I wrote down:

" THE PULSE is a very qualified
   product. Recently it has proved
   incredibly professional journalism
   where the sources and background
   work are always well performed.
It's an honour competing with you
in particular DUKE, and may I
wish you the best of days ahead
with REGINA and with THE PULSE "

THE PULSE is today regarded by many
as the number one magazine. In many
eyes it may very well be. It covers
the mailmarket, and the boardmarket.
Whether PROPAGANDA serves a purpose,
it's up to you, dear reader, but deep
down I know we do. And we intend to
do so, all the days ahead.

So what have I managed to do for you
this issue? (Apart from the list)

- The News are of course printed in a
  massive amount, basically done as
before (to the dislike of some).

- The Interview features a bit of a
surprise, but is well worth reading

for most of the people who haven't
been around for so long, and for
  people who feel nostalgic about
the early days of the Commodore 64.

- There are some interesting articles
in the other chapters, in particular
one by MOTLEY, who functions as
  guesteditor for the first time.

In my eyes, we've produced a darn fine
issue offering a wide sellection of
readable material. We intend to keep
producing, and as we do, we will
sit here with the touch of the
devil at our fingertips.
