General comments ------------- Since last issue i've tried to release this magazine to the schedule i set out when the magazine began. I have achieved it with a tiny delay and hope to even make greater improvements in release time by next issue also. Several well known magazines have been celebrating in style. Vandalism News Silver edition reached my drive and i congratulate the staff on all their effort over the years. More recently the special Christmas edition of The Pulse magazine was released at the Denmark party. Apart from a special Christmas issue, they also celebrate 20 fine issues. This would have to be the most regular released magazine in history, congratulations on the fine edition. Lastly, is the Propaganda Gold (#20) edition. Celebrating in splendid style, they invite the former main editor and creator of the magazine, Antichrist in a pre-editorial section. As usual the edition was well written, as one would expect from this magazine. Unfortunately the editors seemed not to pleased on articles published in Vandalism News #25 and Domination issue #5 by Vengeance and myself. Both Matt and i do respect Propaganda as a very informative, competitive magazine, but we cannot see reasoning behind the "write the naked truth, scandal or not..." style the Propaganda magazine contains. How can an editor talk about scandals with 1st hand experience when the editor doesn't even call the Usa boards on any type of regular basis. The way the text is written about 'Onslaught' is just hilarious, as we find this being the only publication that writes negative and wrong texts about us. Turning the text from an informative point of view into a total bonanza of their own opinions and not what really matters, the scene's opinion! A magazine in my opinion should report the news, not add their 'mouthy' slang that would cause trouble with a group or seperate the scene into different opinions about the one truth. This is called 'objectivity' which is one of the jewels a magazine editor tries to perform to achieve a larger audience. Sure lets look at (4) points they gave in the editorial. - La*Style did call 3 groups. - Mario wanted to crack only multi-load games, because the market doesn't allow a particular large amount of these he wasn't given that much to do. He never got the wares he expected to see since his break in the scene and wanted to join another group. - The Ministry did criticize their own organization in public. - The Ministry were removed from the group because of incapability to crack certain games, one being MegaThrustaball, which was later given to La*Style. Our organization is fine, and it has to be plain to see, we are in the top ten in all magazines. We are an international based group, not what is normally experienced by The Ministry, who are used to a Swedish based organization core. Before my final decision for removing them from the group they asked for some first releases to crack, no problem at all. But ringing them was though, as they were practally unavailable, i emailed Jayce (one of the Ministry) on Wares Aquarium about this problem. His reply was to upload the first releases onto one of the public drives of the swedish board, how lame, so they were removed. - Highway was taken on in great confusion. - We in the Onslaught core were debating whether to take on the bbs or not, discussing the matter with Homeboy, Vengeance and Bizarre we came to some decisions. Both Homeboy and i were willing to take on the board in order to give our swedish section more support. I knew Vengeance's decision would eventually be a yes, so Homeboy made the decision to take on the bbs. The only thing that was 'confusing' was the fact we knew we were going to gain the bbs, but we were not sure on when. Thats why it was a total surprise to us when we did get the bbs, as we never expected it to be so soon. - Dodger did leave for Hitmen in unhappiness. - True, Lars did leave unhappy. We are all still quite good pals with him. It was mainly because of one release in particular. One thing he was unhappy about also was the inclusion of The Ministry into our group. Even now he is in Hitmen, do you see the Propaganda magazine covering his PUBLIC disliking in large detail. The Ministry joining Hitmen and he denied their membership, a heated situation that took place over an odd 15 or so posts, NO. and there is the answers to all the Propaganda facts, One other small detail another of the Propaganda editors included was about certain groups not being worthy to call the boards. Mentioned by Antichrist in the pre-editorial chapter was Motiv8, Hardcore and Onslaught. All of these groups have established and respected sceners, so how is he able to comment on these people in the sloppy way he just did. Putting Onslaught as first, one would see that we contain/ed members such as Majesty, Chrysagon, Ignorance, Deekay and even Antichrist's former group member, La * Style. How can he then comment on the remainding members who he doesn't even know from his own experience but from what he is told by others in the Propaganda staff. The magazine is a fine magazine, i just hope to see in the future a better and more sensible view on groups in the scene, instead of making assumptions and publishing only ONE side of the story. Concluding the editorial, i would also like to thank the people responsible in making this magazine what it is today, the spreaders, coders, musicians, painters and the critics. Here is the new issue of Domination, and i hope you find enjoyment and satisfaction at my labours. Sincere regards; Jazzcat/ONSLAUGHT General Editor /=============================\ | * DOMINATION ISSUE SIX * | | THE INDEPENDANT PRODUCTION | \=============================/
