| |
− | After a period of silence, the
| |
− | TEMPEST Crew has become quite active
| |
− | again lately with the release of the
| |
− | 2nd issue of their magazine DIMENSION.
| |
− |
| |
− | I had the great opportunity to talk to
| |
− | two of their members, so let's welcome
| |

| |
− | DT: Well, how about introducing
| |
− | yourself to all the compasity crowd
| |
− | out there?
| |
− |
| |
− | FLD:
| |
− | FLD: I am one of the main editors of
| |
− | "Dimension", and besides I am
| |
− | acting as a swapper and musician
| |

| |

| |
− | DT: Wow, check out the intensity in
| |
− | DT: these words! OK guys how about some
| |
− | infos about TEMPEST? Founders,
| |
− | Memberstatus and so on?
| |
− |
| |
− | FLD:
| |
− | FLD: TempesT is a yugoslavian-based
| |
− | group which was founded in the
| |
− | early 90's. TempesT never cared
| |
− | a lot about the usual cracking
| |
− | scene in this decade and was
| |
− | always more or less a demo group.
| |
− | During the time of the war in
| |
− | Yugoslavia, it became silent around
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | us, but then TempesT was rebuilt
| |
− | after the loss of some members.
| |
− | The Macedonians and some Serbians
| |
− | quit, and finally Nucleus, JB
| |
− | and Erol were the last members
| |
− | from Ex-Yugoslavia. We "Germans"
| |
− | started to join TempesT from
| |
− | the beginning of 1997. Check the
| |
− | news corner of this issue of the
| |
− | D-T English for our latest
| |
− | memberstatus.
| |
− |
| |
− | BLZ:
| |
− | BLZ: Nothing more to say...:)
| |
− |
| |
− |
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | DT: Let's talk a bit about your mag
| |
− | DT: DIMENSION. What whould you say makes
| |
− | it different from other mags in
| |
− | scene?
| |
− |
| |
− | BLZ:
| |
− | BLZ: Many things I think. The whole
| |
− | style of texts and outfit is
| |
− | different from the other Mags I
| |
− | think. (and I hope:)
| |
− |
| |
− | FLD:
| |
− | FLD: Concernig the outfit and the style
| |
− | of "Dimension", I simply have to
| |
− | agree! I guess we can say that
| |
− | all texts are of a high quality,
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | the amount of chapters is more than
| |
− | acceptable. It also makes us
| |
− | a bit different from other mags that
| |
− | all of the used tunes are
| |
− | exclusive...
| |
− |
| |
− |
| |
− | DT: Would you say the magscene has
| |
− | DT: changed over the last couple of
| |
− | years? And what, in your opinion,
| |
− | makes new mags (PREMIUM, DT, e.g.)
| |
− | different from the old established
| |
− | ones?
| |
− | BLZ:
| |
− | BLZ: The style of the Mags (Charts,
| |
− | Interviews etc.) is like the old
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | times I think, but the visual
| |
− | Outfit is much better since years
| |
− | I think.
| |
− | Importend are the texts of a mag,
| |
− | when a Mag looks good, and the
| |
− | texts are bad, the whole mag is
| |
− | bad.
| |
− |
| |
− | FLD:
| |
− | FLD: In my eyes, the mags were on a
| |
− | higher standard some years before.
| |
− | Nowadays, quite a lot of newcomer
| |
− | groups consume the mag scene with
| |
− | their style of newer magazines.
| |
− | I don't see many impressing new
| |
− | outfits, i sometimes totally miss
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | exclusive tunes or a nice English..
| |
− | Okay, I like most of today's mags
| |
− | quite much. In the older days,
| |
− | we had names like "Skyhigh",
| |
− | "The Pulse" or "Shout". And, Sorry,
| |
− | at least 90% of the magazines these
| |
− | days won't reach such a standard
| |
− | ever in any way.
| |
− |
| |
− | DT: You two are known as two of german
| |
− | DT: scenes most gorgeous party dudes.
| |
− | How do you see the role of the
| |
− | c64 partys in the entire scene
| |
− | nowadays? Or in other words, would
| |
− | a c64 scene without partys still
| |
− | be alive?
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | BLZ:
| |
− | BLZ: A party is the salt in the soup.
| |
− | Without Meetings, anyway if big
| |
− | or small, the scene won't be the
| |
− | same!
| |
− |
| |
− | FLD:
| |
− | FLD: The C64-scene is much more
| |
− | enjoyable with those great parties.
| |
− | As I know quite a lot of people
| |
− | who never visited such parties,
| |
− | I know what they are missing.
| |
− | For quite a lot of sceners, the
| |
− | spirit of the C64-parties and the
| |
− | #c64-channel are the things that
| |
− | keep them active and alive in our
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | scene.
| |
− |
| |
− | DT: Short question - short answer?
| |
− | DT: Has the Internet killed the
| |
− | mailtrading scene?
| |
− |
| |
− | FLD:
| |
− | FLD: Not yet! I am tired of offending
| |
− | the internet, as it simply makes
| |
− | not much sense... everyone who
| |
− | is too lazy to swap or too far
| |
− | away from the (mailtrading) scene
| |
− | can count on the internet. On the
| |
− | other hand a lot of swappers
| |
− | became more and more inactive
| |
− | because of .d64-files trading via
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | internet. What i really don't like
| |
− | is that most of the wares nowadays
| |
− | are spread at first over the
| |
− | internet. that is a problem for
| |
− | the snailmail traders.
| |
− |
| |
− | BLZ:
| |
− | BLZ: Not really. It is just easier to
| |
− | write an e-mail than fixing a
| |
− | snailmail send.
| |
− |
| |
− | DT: Well, let's leave the c64 aside a
| |
− | DT: bit for a moment and jump over to
| |
− | some more private (hehe!) things.
| |
− | What are your activities outside
| |
− | the world of bits and bytes?
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | FLD:
| |
− | FLD: Well, what shall I say...
| |
− | I am going to visit the school
| |
− | again after my education now.
| |
− | I am looking quite forward to
| |
− | it. I like listening to music
| |
− | a lot and I love to play the
| |
− | guitar. My other interests
| |
− | are literature and politics.
| |
− |
| |
− | BLZ:
| |
− | BLZ: I like driving my car, Tekken
| |
− | matches on Playstation (beat me),
| |
− | Partys with funny girls:),
| |
− | literature, and and and...
| |
− |
| |
− |

| |
− |

| |
− | DT: Any last words?
| |
− | DT:
| |
− |
| |
− | FLD: Borgentreich suxx!(Ed. RHEINE TOO!)
| |
− | FLD:
| |
− |
| |
− | BLZ: DIGITAL TALK ENGLISH KIXX ASS
| |
− | BLZ: (much better than the german one!)
