What's up with D.O.T.Y./Zyron

In the previous issue of this magazine I wrote a bit
about the anti-nazi demo ACT NOW. I touched the area
around the 'similar' co-op demo D.O.T.Y. arranged by
Zyron and/or Antic. It has been very quiet about that
demo for quite a while, so I encouraged Zyron to do a
chapter to enlighten the entire situation.
Luckily for me, and certainly for you, he took this
encouragement to him and did a chapter for SKYHIGH.
So why not check it out ya'll..
But first I would like to thank you, Johan, for doing
this fine chapter for SKYHIGH. - Ok let's go..

WHERE DID D.O.T.Y. GO !!!!

That's a question that I've got a lot of times lately
and I can't blame you for wondering.
When we 1st announced about DOTY (over a year ago!)
we thought it was a good idea and that we would get
alo t of feedbac, this was unfortunately not the way
it went. The first months we got six parts and then....
NOTHING!!!

So I guess you can't blame us for loosing the inte-
rest in releasing it since a 6-part DOTY isn't much of
a DOTY at all.
At the party 3 the guys in Padua asked me if they
could use their DOTY-part in a Padua-demo instead
and do a new onefor us later, I could of course not
refuse them to use their own part wherever they
wanted to, so I said yes.
I never got that part which decreased the amount of
parts to five.

Later, when I got Revolution/Chorus, I noticed that
they had used their DOTY-part in that demo instead
but who can blame them? This means that we at this
very moment only have 4 (or perhaps less?) parts
for DOTY :

1. WOW BY WAX

2. EQUINOXE BY CHIPSI + MR. WARP

3. LETHARGY BY ARTLACE

4. REBELS BY ARTLACE

As you can understand, all of the parts are more or
less outdated since they were made over 1.5 years
ago and I can understand if the coders doesn't want
us to release them anylonger!

What I'm trying to say with this message is that there
won't be any D.O.T.Y. at all if we don't get more sup-
port from the sceners!!
I must admit that we have felt a bit pissed when we
tried to arrange this cool idea after so many years
without getting all support needed! So if you want to
see DOTY released you have to do something about
this situation we've put ourselves in;

code a part and send it to us in Antic!!

Now when the antinazi-demo is released and ready I
would appreciate if you would support DOTY in the
same way as you supported ACT NOW! We need to keep
the scene together and there's nothing else I'd like
to see more than a coop-demo including groups
spread over whole Europe, a big scene demo everyone
can be proud of, that everyone has contributed to!

So, act now(!) and show everyone that the 64-scene
isn't dead and won't die for a long time...

Send your part in a raw (uncrunched) file to:

And enclose your adress so I can send DOTY back to
you when (if!) it's finished, you'll get it about a week
before the releasedate and you'll be added to the
official spreadlist!

If the coders from whom we already have a part
(listed earlier) don't want us to use it you're welcome
to send a new part. I'm very sorry if you feel like we
have wasted the part for you but what could we do?

My adress is also open for swapping old demos, old/
new 64-music and to order music for your game,demo,
mag or whatever you may need music for...
I can inform you that my demolist in writing moment,
23th of march 1995, contains over 2400 demos!

I would also like to use this opportunity to tell the

I hope that all you out there has started thinking a
bit now. And I hope that you'll will do a part for DOTY.
I myself know how frustrating it is, so I'll be the no.1
to encourage you all to take part in DOTY.
