Somehow I got the feeling that not all people know<br />
all the small gimmicks in Skyhigh. Someone might even<br />
have small difficulties in operating it. So just in case<br />
it could be so, I decided to do a chapter to help.<br />
Basically the operating system is the same as is in<br />
the previous issues, but as the mag has been going<br />
through some changes lately there might be some<br />
minor improvements here aswell. So why not just take<br />
a look at it all !!!<br />

HOW TO USE SKYHIGH<br />

Well first I would like to say that we (Raz and I) have<br />
tried to make it as user-friendly as possible all the<br />
way. If you should have any ideas or improvements<br />
please let us know and we will see what we can do !!!<br />
Ok let's go :<br />

THE MENU<br />
<br />
<br />
At the top you can see what issue you are reading at<br />
the moment - just in case...<br />
<br />
The menu is working with icons in a kind of window-<br />
system. You can control the pointer (the arrow) with<br />
either the cursor keys or the joystick in port 2.<br />
<br />
I guess everybody know how to move the pointer to a<br />
certain area and click, so I'll skip that. All I'll write<br />
is the directions.<br />

JOYSTICK<br />

Joy-directions : move the pointer.<br />

Fire : Choose or load.<br />
<br />
<br />
THE KEYBOARD<br />
------------<br />
<br />
The cursor keys works the same way as the joystick<br />
so that shouldn't be a problem.<br />

Return : Choose or load.<br/><br />
<nowiki>*</nowiki> : Return to the text. (will be explained later)<br />

The menu is divided into 4 windows :<br />

In this window you'll find 7 icons. Each one is a cate-<br />
gory of its own. Choose one of them and see the dif-<br />
ferent chapters in the window down under.<br />
Each of the main-icons can hold up to 8 chapters.<br />
So the wise reader has already calculated a bit and<br />
found out that the mag can hold 56 'chapters' (more<br />
or less!!!)<br />

The 2nd window will be named after the category you<br />
have choosen. Meaning : if you choose the main icon<br />
" Addies " then the window will be called :<br />
Yes that's right : " Addies ". What a surprise..<br />
To load the chapter simply move the pointer over it,<br />
and press fire/return..<br />
The outfit turn automatically to the textscreen when<br />
a chapter has been loaded<br />

SYSTEM<br />
<br />
This is the window you can choose wether you would<br />
have music on or off. Simply 'click' on the icon.<br />
The 2nd icon is also quite obvious.<br />
If you want to go to the text simply 'click' on the :<br />
Go2 text icon and off you go. But as said earlier this<br />
is not the only way. Besides 'the Go2 text' icon and<br />
the star (*) on the keyboard you can also move the<br />
pointer to the upper left corner (also a star!!!), and<br />
'click'...<br />
<br />
MUSIC<br />
<br />
Well, this should be quite obvious as well. Simply<br />
click on the tune you want, and it will be loaded im-<br />
mediately. In case I have decided to use more than 3<br />
tunes (like in this issue!!) you can scroll up'n'down at<br />
the side. Quite simple!!!<br />

THE TEXT-SCREEN<br />
<br />
The text reading part can also be operated by using<br />
either joystick in port 2, or the keyboard.<br />
<br />
The text can either be as upscroll or as the well-<br />
known page-shift system. Pick the one you like the<br />
best and just use it...<br />

You should also notice the info line. It's the changing<br />
line in the yellow raster-split. Here you can always<br />
see the name of the chapter + the name of the tune/<br />
composer.<br />
