And yes, you just loaded the 3rd interview in this
issue of Skyhigh.
This time I would like to present to you: another well
known scener. He is a member of one of the largest
groups at the moment. please welcome :

Yo Spermbird.
First of all thanx for sharing your personality
with the rest of us.

+ Ok, let's get this thing started the usual way.
Please tell us your handle and group.

- My handle is Spermbird and the group is Excess...

+ And your real name ?

- my real name is Robin, ok??

+ When were you delivered to the earth?
(day,month,year)

- well, I watched up at 9th may 1972.

+ Ok that was the most important things. But please
give us a small introduction of yourself.
(personal facts : hight - hair colour - eye colour -
glasses - sparetime, other interests, job/school
hobbies and so on!!)

- ok,my height is 1,71m, my eyes are blue grey and my
hair is brown. In my sparetime I like to do some
batminton, volleyball, listen to punk, industrial,
hardcore and grunge music and I play the bass.
At the moment I'm working only for 5 hours a day,
but the money is quite good. Before, I tried to make
the exams, but it was too hard.
well,and soon I have to finish my civil service.

+ For how long have you been into the 64 scene. Or in
other words : please tell us when you entered the
world of the Commodore 64 - and it's scene?
In what other groups have you also been in ?
You know stuff like that.

- Hmm, I entered the scene into june 92.
My first group was a unknown one called SODOM, in
which it really sucked! Till now, I never saw pro-
ductions like I got in that group. Then I left for
good, for another one called TRINOMIC.
It was'nt the best too, but they pushed out a cool
mag named GENETIC DREAMS. Maybe you remember it?
Well,and then in january 93 I joined EXCESS.

+ Spermbird..

Damn, that's a special handle. I guess there is a
good story to it.
I myself could come up with some nasty ideas, But
I think you better tell us the real story

- Hehe, the real story to my handle. I knew you would
ask me something like that, but there is really no
special story to tell about. As I told you, I like to
listen to punk music. And at that time I loved a Ger
man punkband called Spermbirds,so my handle,ok??

+ What is your memberstatus and job in your group ?

- Well, I'm a megaswapper with exactly 298 contax by
now. And if I have the time for, I'm also the editor
of Nitro, our magazine.
For that I am counting the gamereviews, which is
really a hard job, to test out all the releases,
which I get for every issue. Anyway, that's more or
less all, what I'm for in excess.
From time to time I'll supply them some originals.

- Italian, Greece and moms cook.

- I like to booze milk and beer.

- As I told, punk, industrial, hardcore.

- My girl Jessika and no one else, no!

- Schindlers List...heavy to watch.

- If I would mention some of my best swappals, then
there would be no place left for some other things
hehe. So, I'll greet all my contax around the globe.
Hope they are all still ok!

+ Yeah a whole lot of things you liked.
But what about things you dislike!

Is there any particulary phenomena or mayby even
dudes you do not like in the scene.
Give us the story!!

- Yes, that we, still in trouble in real life,have the
time to do anything great to keep the scene alive.
Keep it going dudes! About dudes I do not like,
I could'nt remember yet.

+ What is your plans for the future? Both in the
scene and in private !

- Well, I'm trying to go to Australia in some years!
I love Australia! It's a great place. Next year I'll
be there for 6 weeks. For my first time. I'm sure it
will be great. And on the 64 I'll swap till my end I
think.

+ People keep claiming that the c64 soon'll be dead.
So far everyone saying so, have had to eat their
words again.
But when (or if) the c64 scene dies, what will you
then do. Jump to the (L)amiga or PC, or simply quit
the entire compy-scene?

- If the 64 really dies in the future, I won't do any-
thing on another system not on the Amiga and not
on pc. Then I quit all my activities.

+ People often talk about a lamer. But, what is a
lamer?. Please give me your definition !

- Hmm, difficult question Jesper. What is a lamer?
well, I think there's really no exact deffinition to
a lamer, I think these dudes are stupid, coz if any-
one is popular, he'll forget fast, how 'lame' he be-
gan.

+ I read somewhere that you have apx. 278 contacts.
Is that really true ?

- No, at the moment I have exactly 298 contax, but I
must say, around 90 are really slowly with their
replies.

+ How the fuck do you have time for it? You deffenite
ly deserve all my respect. But then again if you
spend most of the time on your swapping activities
instead of composing, drawing or whatever I have a
vague idea how you can manage it.

- Well, I'm interesting to get both, but I like to get
really cool demos.

- I use cheated stamps.

+ Why ?

- Well, I think you understand, why I'll use cheated
stamps.

+ Magazines! Some people say there's too many -
some say there's not!! What do you think?

- Well, I think there are to many mags which has the
same style. I don't think every group must have a
magazine, or?

+ They for one thing sure keep the scene alive, but
what about demos? What do you think about the
quality of the demos produced nowadays?

- Well, I think the demos will be better and better.
Look at the demos from the end of the 80th. That
shows us, that the 64 can more as it looks like, he
he.

+ What's your advice to all the demoproducing groups
concerning their future productions?

- Well, I wont give an advice to all the demogroups,
but dudes,give your best to make them cool!

+ If you had the opportunity to build up a new group
- which persons would you like to join ?
