cool cover you did for me. i presume
you have seen my thank you in the mag
itself. if not then here i go again!
it simply ruled!! you have managed to
catch my ideas and put 'em down to
paper. (for those of you who haven't
seen this cover 'skyhigh' better get
your hands on a copy and wank!!)

ofcoz this is fully deserved, but it
seems that you don't know much about
tattooing! what you said was some kind
of a pen on the front is actually a
'tattoo-gun' (the machine you use to
put on tattoos!!!)

? when were you delivered to the earth?
(day,month,year)

! i can't remember but i think it was
16th october 1975

? ok that was the most important things.
but pleaz give us a small introduction
of yourself.
(personal facts : hight - hair colour
eye colour - glasses
sparetime, other interests, job/school
hobbies and so on!!)

! hight is about 175cm, eyes are brown,
natural hair colour is brown but now
it is black and longest hair is about
30cm long and i wear glasses also.
i'm a student, commercial college au-
diovisual-course. sparetime:i draw all
kinds of pictures, play darts, listen
allmost all kinds of muzac and get
drunk very often. booze=great, funny.

? for how long have you been into the 64
scene. or in other words : please tell
us when you entered the world of the
commodore 64 - and it's scene?

! well, i've been into scene since '92
when i lived with argon (now i live
with thor). i also joined to extend
'92 and now a little surprise:i bought
c64 just a couple of weeks ago.
surprised?

? 'duce' - i like that handle! as a mat-
ter of fact i wanted to call me that
ages ago!
i don't know about you, but i had the
idea while watching tennis on tv!
i remember that i immidiately went to
my computer and did a duce logo!
but i didn't like it very much ( the
logo!!!) so i changed it to juice!!
it's pronounced the same way!!

but why the hell am i telling all this
well the reason is ofcoz that i want
you to tell us the story about your
handle! how and why did you choose
that handle ?

! well, it was year '91 when i watched
an amiga demo from acme, and there was
a guy whos hanle was duke. so, i chan-
ged k to c and then it was duce.
but heard afterwards that mussolini
used name il duce, and it means fas-
cistic leader. but i'm not a fascist,
racist and even nazi, coz i hate 'em
all!

? what is your memberstatus and job in
extend?

! i don't know!?! i just draw ...?

? ok let's talk about your paper grafix!

surprisingly lot of covers from your
hand is comming my way these days!
how long has you been drawing - both
covers and other stuff?

! i was born with pencil in my hand!?
i've been drawing covers only two
years and other stuff many many years.

? as you might have seen then i brought
an article written by micke/extend in
the last issue of this magazine!
he touches some very interesting sub-
jects in there!
he ask the scene how come no one ever
votes for you!
- i myself has been thinking this lots
of times! i simply don't understand
why all people are voting for cover-
designers that haven't been active for
ages (f.e. cop - franco - dave -
arrogance and so on!)
sure these dudes were good, but in my
opinion people has missed something
here!
your work is some of the coolest in da
scene right now (no ass licking!!!)
how come i never see you in the charts
is your work not spread well enough!
or what the hell is going on?

why do you think it's like that?

! i don't now and i don't care! maybe
the sceners just don't like my covers.

? well i'll do what i can to help you
get the credit you deserve!!
one way is ofcoz this interview! now
people have no excuse! now they can't
say that they didn't know!

well back to the covers!

i have been into art for quite a while
now, and i have been studying your
covers for some time as well!
one thing that really amazes me is yer
technique! damn you have improved very
much lately!
take a look on 'faces for fear' and
'skyhigh' !
what do you have to say about that
improvement yourself? how much time do
you spend on drawing ?

! 'faces for fear'-cover sux, it is my
worst cover. i made it in two nights.
but anyway, i can't say anything about
that. well, nowadays i spend time like
hell while drawing covers. about 20
hours for each cover.

? it seems that after you have started
used what i call 'prik-tegning' or
'point-drawing' you have made a new
trend in the paper scene!! i'm ofcoz
talking about fine-line points!
what do you think about other trying
to copy that style now

! well, i don't mind as long as they don
't copy ideas from my pictures. every-
one is free to use any drawing techni-
ques what they want.

? well talking about styles & techniques
quite a few of your latest covers are
rather weird with associations to
masochism - violence and so on!
-what style(s) do you prefer to draw?

! i like to draw all kinds of stuff that
comes to my mind. schizophrenic hallu-
cinations!

? when you're doing these fine-line
covers - how are you doing it ?
i'm thinking about the size- is it
1/1 or are you working on bigger size
and then copying it down ?
or does it depend!

! well, most of covers are drawn bigger
size (20.5cm * 31.5cm = 144%) and then
i copy them down to 70% from the ori-
ginal. for fine-line points i use rot-
ring rapidograph 0.13 and micronpigma
005 and toothbrush. but rapido is so f
ucking tiny that lot of points disap-
peares while copying 'em down.

? besides the fine line points you are
also using alot of other techniques!
in 'skyhigh' & 'a streak of masochism'
you're using -splashes-??
in in 'gimme my clothes back, fucker!'
you have used some kind of plazma as
background.
and in 'a streak of masochism' there's
lots of partly shown fingerprints!
(btw how did you do that ? arabicum or
simply white paint and brush after-
wards???)

this is what makes your covers so cool
always new ideas! ya never get stucked
in one style.

what would you like to say to all the
other cover designers out there?

! don't copy from other artists!!! try
new techniques and use your imaginati-
on! use time!

? last! what do you use while drawing?
pens - papers - ink - brushes a.s.o?

! ballograf 0.5 pencil, staedler eraser,
micronpigma 005, rotring rapidograf
0.13, r. rapidograf 0.35, r. easyliner
0.25, sakura correction pen, uniprokey
, pelikan ink 17, toothbrush, rulers,
xerox 80g/m2, beer, cigarettes, a.s.o.

? what about computer gfx! i haven't
seen anything from you on the c64
lately! how come ?

! if you are lucky, you'l see some c64-
gfx in future.

? i also know that you are doing amiga
grafix (or used to!)
are you still active on the amiga as-
well?

! yes i'm, but our coders are so fucking
lazy that we haven't give any produc-
tion out.

? so what about the c64! how do you see
the future?
will this wonderfull machine soon die
or will it live a long time to come!

! c64 will live as long as scene lives,
and it will live long.

? when it die, where will we find you!
