a preview, after what appears to be them
getting the file without intro from
an American board. F4CG later releases
what is claimed to be an official pre-
view - if there really can be one of
the kind.

One of the all time favorite boards,
stateside, finally sees light of day
again. DREAMPARK is announced with
mere pride from the two heavy names
in the industry; F4CG and AVANTGARDE.
After a discussion with CYBORG, the
sysop, PROPAGANDA is signed as back-
up and support a few hours later.
DREAMPARK quickly regains popularity
from its older days, and peaks for the
top during the first month in service.

Active boardcallers JAZZCAT and VENG-
EANCE together with an inactive MAJESTY
form the new group ONSLAUGHT. With a
past from LEGEND, TRC*SCS and TALENT,
new hope arises quickly for the group.
ONSLAUGHT quickly establish themselves
in releasing, and successfully reinforce
the old TALENT board DOWN BY LAW. The
important happening is admired through-

out the market, but also publicly cri-
ticized by many leading groups. Gaining
valuable members and publishing the
magazine VANDALISM, ONSLAUGHT start
their enginges for the charts.

Since the decline of RED SECTOR, just
a year back, most of the old members
have taken farewell of the scene. How-
ever, COUNT ZERO is announced to be
fixing for ONSLAUGHT. Word on the scene
has it, COUNT ZERO is in fact not in-
terested in participating in the 64-

market, and works with FAIRLIGHT on the
SNES. Rumours further mention of ONSL-
AUGHT paying COUNT ZERO with cards in
order to fix their software.

The currently leading group AVANTGARDE
announce their maincracker JACK ALIEN
to be fixing on the Commodore 64, thus
filling a black hole that was left since
they day PUDWERX made a decision to fin-
ally leave the scene. With JACK ALIEN
active on the fixingmarket, AVANTGARDE
again establish themselves as terribly
dangerous in the race of releases.

One of the better games during the year,
FLUMMI'S WORLD, is surprisingly enough
launched by one of the newer labels,
HARDCORE. Questions arise, whether the
group may become of one of the groups to

ARCADE in 1992 is busted for selling

FAIRLIGHT and NOICE organize their no-
torious meeting in Stockholm. What ap-
pears to be a rendez-vous of all the
Swedish people calling the popular
board WARE'S AQUARIUM results in an
orgy of trashing. F4CG is partly to
blame, and are accused for their be-
haviour in a Swedish computermagazine.
The two organizing groups will never
be allowed to hold a meeting again.

_|Scope - A tragedy and loss|___________

The most tragical event of the year
occurs when SCOPE, artist from F4CG
dies in a terrible accident. Autopsy
speaks of a high proportion of alch-
ohol in his blood, but there are also
signs of physical violence. The case
is still unsolved. After the funeral,
F4CG, and mainly THE FAMILY enter a
state of shock. The coma was to rest
over the happening through most of the
year. SCOPE'S artwork, mainly appearing
in PROPAGANDA was during his years very
appreciated and has continued to be
admired by the public since.

_|A quick visit in Avantgarde|__________

SKINHEAD, one of the leading profiles
in the popular ALPHA FLIGHT takes his
friend SKID ROW by the arm and enters
AVANTGARDE. The scene rests confused
by the happenning, but as the duo re-
turn to their former group only days
later, peace rests over the two again.
Eavesdroppers mention both SKINHEAD and
SKID ROW were silently booted by the
heads of AVANTGARDE for not fullfilling
promises, one promise being able to
fix a title TRC*SCS later came to put
out. Still being on friendly terms with
AVANTGARDE, the issue never came to see
light of day.

_|Demodivisions becoming a trend|_______

F4CG recruit people from the inactive
and dying NOICE, resulting in a demo-
division. Demodivisions have been rare
in crackinggroups the past years, and
the move later triggers other groups to
follow. DRAZ, DEVIL, DECODER and others
mainly focus on creating welldesigned
intros, while there is still interest
to launch a demo under the cracking
label.

the popular ALPHA FLIGHT-board THE EVIL
ISLAND is disconnected. Hardworking
sysop, THE ANCIENT MARINER claims to

his decision. ALPHA FLIGHT maintain
their hand with the American market,
still having HOLIDAY INN CAMBODIA up
and running.

The much awaited and rumoured magazine
CORRAMBA from AVANTGARDE is yet again
subject of curiousity, while head of
staff in AVANTGARDE claim "it will not
be appearing, as we see it today".

What appeared to have been able to be-
come a recracking scandal, was quietly
silented, while ONSLAUGHT accused the
German ALPHA FLIGHT for recracking their

as though somebody put the lid on.

The most awaited party of the year takes
place, and with X95, TRC*SCS and FOCUS
managed to gather virtually all people
of value to the 64-scene for an orgy
lasting two quick days. With the succ-
ess at hand, the plans for the sequel
are quickly drawn up.

ONSLAUGHT have over their 2 first act-
ive months managed to offend certain
groups, resulting in a "FUCK YOU ON-
SLAUGHT"-INTRO. The graphics are easi-
ly compared to the pixels from RRR,
OXYRONsituated magazineeditor, while
the coding is performed by anknown
prankster. Magazines quickly gather
information from the Dutch party, and
publish that a federation against ON-
SLAUGHT has been formed with members
like AVANTGARDE, F4CG, ALPHA FLIGHT,
CHROMANCE and ANGRY. This was however,
not true.

With somebody comparing the successful
and new fixer SUICIDE of AVANTGARDE
to PUDWERX, rumours circulate like
an aidsvirus on the scene; "SUICIDE
IS PUDWERX!", and many magazines are
quick to approve with the theory.
"It simply started with somebody
saying that SUICIDE is as good as PUD-
WERX. I know, I replied adding a
traditional smiley, and from there
it went by the speed of light", says
DEFF to PROPAGANDA.

old members from the FAMILY salute
their old buddy with teardropping

is a natural step from the classic DREAM

the IRC, the E-mail and the FTPs. TRC
and SUCCESS have done a marevellous job
with their DIGITAL DUNGEON, ever since,
the number one source of software on
the net.

A second huge cooperation sees light of
day as HARDCORE and ONSLAUGHT enter what
seems to become a happy marriage. With
two fairly threatening names, the two

Opening the summersession of the 64
in 1995, the much appreciated magazine
THE PULSE is launched again, with much
hype behind. The magazine is warmly wel-
comed, but disappoints some people when
it is clear that they haven't quite
pollished their work. It would take
another couple of issues for the mag-
azine to find the way back to the read-
er's hearts.

Coming back from a long haze, HITMEN
arrives, surprising the entire market.
The group does so with an impressive
intensity on the boards and launching
the preview MAGICAL FORMULA. The game
is refered to being supplied by ancient
veteran JIHAD, while rumours speak of
NIGHTSHADE/TRC*SCS doing the old crew
a favor to get them back properly on
track. HITMEN furthermore sign on THE
DUNGEON as their worldheadquarter,
sharing it with both SCS*TRC and DEM-
ONIX.

CHOITARE is an interesting person to
follow during the summer. During his
daily quarrels with people on the boards
it is also clear he is annoying people
in his own group ALPHA FLIGHT. In fact,
so annoying that SKINHEAD, one of the
leaders, decides to leave the group for
a brief period of time. However, it
doesn't take long for the storm to fade
and SKINHEAD to rejoin in partners.
SKINHEAD has however, been fairly in-
active during the fall of 1995.

DEFF goes on vacation to Spain, thus
resulting in no releasingchart in the
awaited PROPAGANDA #18. Upsetting many,
PROPAGANDA invents THE REAL LIST, a list
offering an opurtunity to watch all the
releases through the year. In the same
issue, the TRIBUTE ASSOCIATION also
brielfy mention the possiblity of a
second TRIBUTE. Taking place somewhere
in June 1996, it will not be colliding
with the awaited X96, held in April
the same year.

With most of the older parts in TRC*SCS
enjoying their summer, the leadership
is shortly left in the hands of SPLATT-
ERHEAD, who has done a tremendous job
for the group during the year. Coming
back from the summerholidays, it does
take some time for TRC*SCS to get back
in the full effect.

As usual, the annual gathering in London
is set for another success, but fails to
deliver when promised people do not show
up. With the 64 not having been support-
ed on the show for the past 5 years, it
may finally very well be, that the old
fine tradition that attracted so many,
is fading.

The hardworking cooperation ONSLAUGHT
and HARDCORE experience a divorce, and
with that, HARDCORE fails to live up
to demands in the public spotlight.
"The co-op split basically because as
both groups were growing, it became
harder for the ONSLAUGHT guys to call
every member...", said VENGEANCE to
PROPAGANDA at the time. "..to break
the co-op seemed the simple answer to
a large problem, and of course if we
had to see the co-op die to continue
ONSLAUGHT going, we would again do
the same thing", he further implied.

CHROMANCE, who have been facing diff-
iculties with leading profiles spend-
ing time in the army, finally seem to
be getting back into topgear. With
MR.WAX behind the steering wheel, re-
leases appear, and for the first time
in ages, CHROMANCE has a face in the
public. Lacking public relations and
marketing earlier, that was never the
issue of CHROMANCE.

September also triggers a sour story
to appear, between the PROPAGNDA-mag
azine and ONSLAUGHT. Later, the debate
was to be entitled the ONSOAP-affair,
a fact that did not appeal the people
in ONSLAUGHT. The affair has triggered
some fairly hostile articles as well
as words appearing on the boards. PRO-
PAGANDA and VANDALISM have however been
the mainsources of the outbursts.

F4CG announced their SNES-section up
and running with people from various
64-groups as well as people from the
already existing SNES-scene. People
from F4CG, ILLUSION, SKID ROW(AMIGA),

as legend like HOBBIT and TYGER are in,
The PROPAGANDA-magazine is said to be-
come reality in the not too far dist-
ant, edited by NEWSCOPY and a new
staff. The section is naturally led
by SOLAR, who has been working with
building it up for quite some time.

rush, resulting in an orgy of releases.
However, the most awaited game of the
year, FRED'S BACK 4, is not released by
any of the expected German groups, but
by ONSLAUGHT who are quick and nifty to
bring out the fixed version.

The new month brings on the typical
autumntrend in 64-history; increased
intensity. Many old people also find
their way back to the systems. Not only
did the boards HOLIDAY INN CAMBODIA and
THE EVIL ISLAND get connected again,
but old people like JIHAD and TRISTAN
showed their faces in public. Bonanza!
TRISTAN from EMPIRE made a name for
himself hacking cards, and has spent
the past few years behind bars. Not
long after coming out from the slammer,
he announced his return to the machine.

AVANTGARDE are running into fixing
difficulties with SUICIDE'S NTSC-
machine crashing. Instead AVANTGARDE
throw an internal party, resulting in
the first AVANTGARDE-demo ever. F4CG,

their success RAJRAJ and organize A
JOURNEY TO $0801, resulting in the most
odd release of the year.
