Dear readers,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
With september passing by, summer is&lt;br /&gt;
nothing but a vivid memory and whatever&lt;br /&gt;
that may bring. We're heading for 1996&lt;br /&gt;
at the speed of light, and believe it&lt;br /&gt;
or not, we are putting another year of&lt;br /&gt;
8-bitstory behind us. I still startle&lt;br /&gt;
at the thought and recall an interview&lt;br /&gt;
I read with long gone KARATE KID from&lt;br /&gt;
DOMINATORS in 1989. The last question&lt;br /&gt;
in the interview asked how long the&lt;br /&gt;
64-scene would continue, to which&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
KARATE KID quickly, and with self-&lt;br /&gt;
concience responded. &amp;quot;The 64 will be&lt;br /&gt;
dead in half a year!&amp;quot;, and kept mumb-&lt;br /&gt;
ling slightly about the Amiga taking&lt;br /&gt;
over. I do not have to point out the&lt;br /&gt;
the igorance in this statement, looking&lt;br /&gt;
at it now, almost 7 years later. It&lt;br /&gt;
came even clearer when I spoke to him&lt;br /&gt;
late 1991 and he understood he had been&lt;br /&gt;
wrong. At that point he said he regrett-&lt;br /&gt;
ed having left at such an early point.&lt;br /&gt;
Even STRIDER from FAIRLIGHT claimed he&lt;br /&gt;
was sad about leaving the 64 when we&lt;br /&gt;
spoke to him at the Christmas party&lt;br /&gt;
in Aars, late 1992. At that point, I&lt;br /&gt;
was in G*P, and we were not on the best&lt;br /&gt;
of terms with FAIRLIGHT having put out&lt;br /&gt;
their game RUBICON. STRIDER found it&lt;br /&gt;
very amusing funragging about, but it&lt;br /&gt;
was all to all a jolly time. I pity the&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
people who were so hungry for the Amiga&lt;br /&gt;
and other formats in the past. Look at&lt;br /&gt;
their unhappy faces now. The 64 out-&lt;br /&gt;
lived the Amiga by far, apart from a&lt;br /&gt;
splendid demoscene, while the PC con-&lt;br /&gt;
sists of waresrunning youngsters. It&lt;br /&gt;
is awful, but most of the people on the&lt;br /&gt;
PC are 14 and would go down on you for&lt;br /&gt;
a callingcard.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
No, look at what we have. A small, but&lt;br /&gt;
intense scene with an atmosphere that&lt;br /&gt;
couldn't be mistaken. We have the&lt;br /&gt;
groups, the cracks and the demos. We&lt;br /&gt;
have the magazines, the fights and&lt;br /&gt;
the struggles. We have 16 colours and&lt;br /&gt;
Sidchip music. We have all the fun in&lt;br /&gt;
the world, and a million people are&lt;br /&gt;
missing it. The 64 outlived them all.&lt;br /&gt;

PROPAGANDA 19 is probably one of the&lt;br /&gt;
juiciest issues I have ever produced.&lt;br /&gt;
I do so, with a splendid staff. My&lt;br /&gt;
hardworking co-editor DEFF is expanding&lt;br /&gt;
his efforts in the magazine immensly,&lt;br /&gt;
and with the up-to-today-list, shortly&lt;br /&gt;
called THE REAL LIST, we are covering&lt;br /&gt;
the releasingrace on a higher ground.&lt;br /&gt;
It is still interesting however, that&lt;br /&gt;
some people prefer to accuse us for do-&lt;br /&gt;
ing a job benefiting only certain groups&lt;br /&gt;
on the charts. HOMEBOY from ONSLAUGHT&lt;br /&gt;
took the accusations out in the light,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
and by golly did we drop our jaws. It&lt;br /&gt;
is ridiculous at this point, that we'd&lt;br /&gt;
even consider doing so. And we have to&lt;br /&gt;
be very clear on this issue. PROPAGANDA&lt;br /&gt;
is, and will remain an independant&lt;br /&gt;
production. And still, you have to keep&lt;br /&gt;
in mind, that even though producing a&lt;br /&gt;
magazine takes a lot of time, it is not&lt;br /&gt;
a fulltime job on the scene. That is&lt;br /&gt;
why we also take part in different&lt;br /&gt;
groups and join the race of releases.&lt;br /&gt;
So no matter how you twist and turn,&lt;br /&gt;
we will leave you with the same, dull&lt;br /&gt;
statement;&lt;br /&gt;

By the end of September, I NEWSCOPY&lt;br /&gt;
will take a brief vacation and visit&lt;br /&gt;
DEFF in Germany. Though having met&lt;br /&gt;
before, this is the first time in&lt;br /&gt;
PROPAGANDA-history, that the two main-&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
editors will in fact be working on the&lt;br /&gt;
coming issue on location. The world is&lt;br /&gt;
getting smaller and smaller by the min-&lt;br /&gt;
ute. Issue 2O of the magazine you're&lt;br /&gt;
reading is somewhat of an anniversary,&lt;br /&gt;
and will most definately feature some&lt;br /&gt;
nitty-gritty surprises.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
With this issue, number 19, we also have&lt;br /&gt;
to take our hats of bow for a second.&lt;br /&gt;
Since issue 9, we have made it a welcome&lt;br /&gt;
habit including stunning artwork by our&lt;br /&gt;
friend and artist SCOPE. Passing away&lt;br /&gt;
tragically in March this year, we have&lt;br /&gt;
had a limited amount of pictures to&lt;br /&gt;
use. Therefore, we will now cease the&lt;br /&gt;
popular PROPAGRAPH-series, leaving it&lt;br /&gt;
to art-history. Thank you for all the&lt;br /&gt;
work, Mathias. You know how much we&lt;br /&gt;
liked and appreciated it.&lt;br /&gt;

That more or less rounds up the prologue&lt;br /&gt;
to this juicy issue. Flipping the pages,&lt;br /&gt;
you will realize how powerful and fasc-&lt;br /&gt;
nating the word and language really is.&lt;br /&gt;
