Many 'facts' in TRIAD's "GAMERS GUIDE"
are obviously wrong... They print wrong
amount of trainers,wrong block-lengths,
and mess up most First Releases...

The worst thing is,they do not seem to
bother too much about correcting any of
the many mistakes they print! So,what
the heck is that GAMERS GUIDE good for
anyway? I mean,you can never be sure if
the datas you read in there are true or
not unless you see the games yourself...
But,if you see all the versions by your-
self,then what do you need a guide for?

Many people say that so-called GAMERS
'GUIDE' is nothing but hidden(?) TRIAD-

propaganda (There we go again!) because
the way they list up all the cracked
versions is based on the length. So,the
shortest version is on top,followed by
all other (better?!) versions... In fact
TRIAD does not use intros in the common
sense but boring gray screens that look
more like a cruelcrunch-depack-textline
rather than a real intro. They actually
do not even write any greetings or any-
thing similar to keep their scrollers as
short as possible. They excuse these bad
intros with the fact that the legendary
TRIAD of the past always used very short
intros aswell. Humm... That's true...
But that old mini-intro looked cool at
least! It had some colors flashing thru
and both MR.Z and JANITOR wrote pretty
funny scroll-texts about 'ship wrecking
pirates' and the like. Today's TRIAD use

these short intros(?) because they have
no excellent crackers who can really do
an outstanding version,so if they can't
do very FAST or very GOOD cracks then
they try to have very SHORT cracks at
least... Imagine they would use a real
intro for once... Their cracks wouldn't
be any better than a crack of any other
average cracking group,because their
cracks are not short due to any special
abilities but simply because they use
their gray 'depack-text-intros'. JERRY
says they don't pack their intros,so the
difference between cracks with LONG but
PACKED intros and cracks with SHORT and
UNPACKED intros is minimal... Well,then
why do TRIAD never use real intros?!?
Now,don't tell me that 'tradition-shit'
again! Where's the tradition? Either you
stick to your tradition and use the same

old intro in front of every crack or you
use several new intros (Like TRIAD do!).
Just,all their new intros are short,be-
cause they use no colors,no scrolltexts,
no nothing. Big deal!

And if GAMERS GUIDE really is supposed
to be fair,why do they list the versions
in order of block-length rather than the
amount of trainers or files or whatever?
In fact the only fair way to list up all
the versions would be to list them up in
alphabetical order! And why don't they
do that? Simply because then TRIAD would
not appear on top of the list anymore...
Nobody would recognize their versions.

Really annoying is the way they mess up
the "First Releases". They never really
credit the group with the real First Re-

lease but credit anyone for a First Re-
lease who claims so in his intro. Just
write into your intro-scroller you have
a First Release and -BANG- you will get
the credits for it in that GAMERS GUIDE!
JERRY says a First Release doesn't count
anyway. Well,sure... Easy for him to say
as TRIAD are not able to have a decent
First Release! Their cracks are neither
fast nor good... Just short. Great!

JERRY is always complaining that every-
body is ragging on GAMERS GUIDE but no-
body tells him how to do things better.
I tried to... But instead of listening
to what I have to say he yelled around
and finally hung up on me. Gee... JERRY,
you really know how to treat people! All
I tried to do was to give you a helping
hand... No wonder you 48 years old jerk

got no job,if that's the way you deal
with constructive critizism.

and maany others say GAMERS GUIDE sucks!
So JERRY,don't you think it's time for a
change?! The basic idea of GAMERS GUIDE
is OK... Just,it all depends on proper
datas,so what is a guide good for if the
datas are all wrong? And if you are not
able to get the datas right,don't you
think you are the wrong person (group)
to do such a guide? Think about it!

Well,the best thing about this demo was
the music... And the music was ripped!
Their so-called 32 chars in DXYCP were
just 8 lame flickering sprites... And
the poor pseudo-strecher was simply
ridiculous. Sorry...

In this demo you can see a flickering
"tube-scroll",a 2x2 DYPP which is only
1O chars wide,a very nice strech-scroll
and a sinus-scroll that looks similar to
the sinus-scroller in NETWORK's demo...
Pretty weird!

This demo only containes 2 parts... But
those are well styled,although neither
the code nor the graphics are that good
really. The intro contains a funny zoom-
effect while the mainpart is a videolike
mixture of different animated graphics.

sinus-scroller (The one that looks so
much like the one in HOAXERS's demo!)
But NETWORK said this demo was only a
"warming up"... So,let's wait and see!

Gosh! This demo is baaaaaaaaaaad! TRONIC
didn't even bother installing new logos,
so you still see old PARAMOUNT-graphics.
Frankly there is NOTHING good about this
"DEMO". What does it DEMOnstrate?

THIS PARTY TOOK PLACE IN A TOWN CALLED
BOCHOLT,IN WEST GERMANY. PARTY PLACE WAS
THE KOLPINGHAUS,WHERE THE PARTY TOOK
PLACE IN ONE OF THE HALLS. THE PARTY
STARTED AT 13:30 AND ENDED AT 19:00.
(THAT IS WHT I GUESS,I LEFT AT 16:30)

So,they proclaimed the party as some
sort of concurrence for the Dutch VENLO
meeting (That's what you could read on
the invitation they sent to some PLK's,
stamped with 5 PF [LAAAME!]. One should
have substracted the surcharge from the
price at the entrance!). Anyway, as far
as I remember they took 5 German marks.

"Hmmm, no BIG deal to beat VENLO in any
way since the VENLO-meeting still keeps
growing LAMER everytime it takes place",
I thought. But... GUESS WHAT?!

Right! The meeting really turned out to
be even WORSE than Venlo since:
A) It was more overcrowded with Amigas.
B) The room was much smaller.
C) The people arrived were more unknown.
D) The mood was sort of crappy alltime.

Few real coolies showed up,and there
wasn't any way to get something to eat
or to drink at least.

Also a demo competition was held,but I
have to admit I didn't get the results,
coz I was bored and prefered home.

I don't know, maybe the party was a big
event for the Amiga freax,but surely not
for us 64'ers.

But, Spherical Designs promised to take
another room for the next meeting,so
let's check it out the next month!

THIS PARTY TOOK PLACE IN HEINSBERG, WEST
GERMANY,LIKE USUAL. THE PARTY PLACE WAS
A NICE DISCOTHEQUE CALLED "CHEZ RENZO".
ONE THING IN COMMON: THIS PARTY COULD
HAVE BEEN THE BIGGEST SUCCESS EVER,BUT
DUE TO THE LAZYNESS OF SOME PEOPLE,IT
FAILED DEEPLY. THE PARTY OF COURSE STAR-
TED AT 19:41 AND HAD AN OPEN END...

So, we arrived a bit to early at the
party place and started boozing.
It already seemed like lots of fun. Some
Bavarians arrived in original clothing
(Lederhosen, Bayernhut and so on). They
offered royal snuff and a drink called
SCHINKENHAEGER. One guy had even arrived
from the border to Poland!

They opened the entrance at 19:41,and
we sneeked in. Inside,$FE/TLI sold the
tickets and Guenther Freiherr von Graven
reuth (The so-called cracker-hunter!)
passed over some tickets for a tombola.

You could get every drink you want,you
could sit down or hang around or dance
or have tequillas or whatever you wanted
to do... Enough room,dancefloor,bar...
The things that usually make you happy!

MWS also organized some Skaters,some
Kung Fu artists and a live Rap-Band.
So far the really good organization.

The rest was up to the GUESTS now...

And that was the problem! MWS tried to
get some real old legends like ANTIRAM,
DYNAMIC DUO,711 and so on to come to
have a last big celebration altogether,
but nearly noone followed the invitati-
on. Also the nowadays-coolies were rare,
many promised to come,few did. Some cool
people were there though... MR.ZEROPAGE,
TYGER/G*P,some ACTION members etc.

Anyway,we all tried to get the best out
of it,and had some fun when the Rap men
started their show. They had some probs
with their PA (sound equipment) and it
always went 'KRRRRRK Krrrraaaaaakkkkk'
whenever the leader tried to sing. Due
to this,most of the audience wished that
the band played in Alaska instead...
(Maybe in "ABANDONED IGLO",who knows?)

To keep it short finally: This party
COULD have made history,but due to the
lack of people,it did not get REAL
started. That's not the fault of MWS,
it's mainly YOUR fault,where have YOU
been for example,dear reader???
