hi and welcome to the interview-chapter!
this time we're going to take a closer
look at a certain guy named DOXX who is
a member of the swedish group NOICE.

this is my, bungalow's,first interview
ever and i really hope that you will
like it!
ok, let's start with the interview,then!

? hello doxx! please tell us some info
about yourself!

! ah, the standard question... well, my
handle is doxx,and i'm a member of the
wellknown swedish group noice.my real
name is stefan berglind,and i'm 18
years old.(i will be 19 this winter.)
my length is 175 cm and my weight is
about 70 kg.i've got middleblond,short
hair and green eyes.

? what's your job in noice?

! well,actually i'm an "allround" member
because i do some coding,swapping,
modem-trading and mag-editing,but i'm
mainly a musician.i also do some hard-
ware work and construction.

? what made you go out and buy your
first c64?

! a friend of mine had one,so i started
playing games and making some basic-
programs.later on(in 1988) i bought
one myself.first i didn't have a disc-
drive,but after some months i bought a
1541.

? who were your first c64 pals and when
did you enter the scene?

! well,the first group i was in was
cccp (COOL NAME! ED.),which a local
friend and me formed.
later on i contacted some other dudes
for swapping.this was in 1989-90.my
first swap-pals were xentrix,arcon and
nexus.only arcon is still active today
i think.

? which groups have you been in?

! my first group was cccp and then i
joined megaunit,in which i stayed for
almost one year.then i joined gothic
design,and some months later i also
joined proxyon,as a second group.in
november 1993 i got offered to join
noice,so i left both gothic design and
proxyon and joined noice instead.

? what do you like most about the c64
and what do you dislike most?

! what i like most is the usual stuff,
the friendship,demos etc.the thing i
dislike most is when some so called
"elite" guys try to destroy for other,
not so known,people.

? yeah,i really hate that too!
are you active on any other computers
than the c64?

! no,i'm not active on other scenes,but
i use pc-computer,sometimes.

? have you ever thought about quitting
the scene?

! well,everybody have had their bad
times,but i have never thought about
quitting all my activities,just drop
some contacts.i've actually dropped
20 contacts.

? if you had to leave noice for some
tragic reason,which group would you
like to join,then?

! well,noice is actually the perfect
group for me,because i prefer swedish
groups.if i had to choose another one
i would probably choose fairlight.
some foreign groups,which i could
think of,are spirit,focus and crest.

? if you had the chance to form your own
group,which members would you pick?

! if i could pick any members i want,it
would look like this:

coders: crossbow,vision,swoffa,
tts,bob and swallow

musicians: pri,cane,syndrom,metal,
xayne,drax,jeff and me
of course!

graphicians: electric,carrion,sander,
hein holt,rob,creeper,
joe,ablaze and kring

this group would probably kick some
serious butt,eh?

? yeah,i bet!

? what's your future plans? (both c64
and real life)

! my plans on the c64 are: finish a new
outfit for our mag(euphoria),release
some more music-collections,form a
swedish music-group,sell some of my
own constructed samplers,finish my
4-bit dac with sid-mixer and sell it,
finish and release a program that
turns the c64 into a good digital
oscilloscope.on top of this i'm always
forced to make new versions of my
proggies and to keep up my swapping-
activities.

in real life i'll finish a three-years
technical education this spring (for
swedes : teknisk linje,inriktning mot
el) and i will probably go to the
university this autumn.later on i'll
do my military-service.

? gosh,you seem to have lots of things
to do!

? what will you do if the c64 scene
dies?

! i would probably buy a pc,but i'm not
sure if i would like to join the
scene.

? now for some completely different...
which quality do you like/hate about
yourself?

! hehe... well,a positive quality is
that i'm rather clever,and can easily
pick up new information.a bad thing is
that i always start new projects,
without finishing what i'm doing at
the moment.(see two questions above!)

? tell us something about you,that
nobody knows!

! hmm... well,since this is a single-
sided mag,i can't tell you everything
you DON'T know.maybe not everybody
know that i'm rather "allround",and
that i do almost everything except
graphics.i also have a fake coder and
musician in this scene,but i won't
reveal his name....

? who are your best friends/worse
enemies in the scene?

! my best friends are these guys/girls:

ablaze/padua,cyke/megaunit,hype/liquid
starlight/extacy,merlin/motiv8,
red devil/fairlight,grimlock/accuracy,
black widow/gothic and of course all
noice members.(stasi,devil,mazy,zzap
etc...) hi to you all!

i don't have any enemies (at least i
don't think so!!!),because i think you
should settle all arguments BEFORE a
war is started..

? yeah,that's right!

? now this interview has almost come to
the end,so... have you got any last
words?

! well,i just want to greet the people
i mentioned before,and everybody who's
swapping with me.don't get mad if i'm
rather inactive on swapping right now,
but i got lots of other things to
think of.and to all of you others:
contact me,if you want to buy any kind
of samplers (4-8 bit,price about 20dm)
to plug in your c64,or my 4 bit dac,
which give you 5-channels full stereo-
sound! the price would be 10-15dm.
