New page

editorial iopop
----------------------------------------
welcome to the ninth issue of this mag!
released on the 1st of may in the very
year of 1994.

this is our celebration to the spring.
remember that there is still snow uphere
in leksand!

last time i said what i thought about
nazis. and yes jamaica will join the
mageditors vs. nazis!

i don't know if it will make any effect.
but we mageditors must show our opinion
clearly to the rest of the scene and
the least you can do is to join this
sort of association.

let's stay by the topic of computers and
nazis.

the last six months, media have been
writing about computers and how nazis
use them, (i know i wrote about it last
time.) and the other day i read that the
government here in sweden wanted to
establish a law against all kind of nazi
stuff on computers. it's really a shame
that the masses will get a view on
computers as only used by nazis.

our scene is friendly! friendship rules
here! but anyway, a nazi will never
succeed in getting to the real top. he
will never reach the real elite because
i will never accept him, and i believe
you agree with me too.

as we are talking about politics then
i must ask you : have you ever thoght
about which politics we use in the
scene??

if you use anarchy and add the last
grade of communism, then you have the
answer. that's my opinion. and i even
think that the scene have gone through
all the parts of communism too. just
compare the scene of 1986 with the scene
today! there is a huge difference!
in 1986 there was a real elite. nowadays
elite is (nearly) a dead word and every-
body is worth equal.

it's kind of hard to explain and hard to
understand if you don't know what
COMMUNISM is. it AIN'T JUST OPPRESSION!!

but think about this and you must say
that i'm right at some points.

i think the amiga scene will become as
friendly as the c64 scene, just wait!
but i will never be the same thing like
in this scene.

-- -- --

another thing i have been wondering
about is my/your parents/relatives think
about the scene.

they must have seen something else than
you playing games, haven't they?

after my visit to tcc'93, a friend of
my father's told my mother that he
wished his son would do such things like
me! he meant swapping with foreign
people and going to parties and meet
other people with the same interest. the
friend of mine has an amiga 1200 and is
always playing games.

this was the coolest thing anyone ever
have said about my hobby.

but i'm doubting if it still is a hobby.
it have become a part of my life.
everything goes on by itself. one step
closer to the end. the time is just
ticking. right now i have been sitting
here for about 1 hour trying to write
this editorial. and i guess you have
read this in less than 3 minutes. try to
read readers' page and check out
GOREFEST's words about the scene.

i better stop here, as i have nothing
more to say at the moment.

next time you'll see jamaica will
be in the begining of july. right after
the party. so watch out for our staff
there.

and remeber next issue is number 10!

time to celebrate the spring!
