the text you are about to read was sent
to me by akira of project-x and it is
about a special swap-competition...
so if you are a swapper,and you think
you are not appreciated the way you
think you ought to be,read this and
you can prove what you can!!

that you were the best swapper

in the world ?

the kaos elite system is a new compe-
tition organized by the first class
french group : project-x ! this compo
will start this summer,at the 1st of
july.the aim is to be the best mail -
trader during 2 months.for that , you
have to send us each disks you'll send
to your normals contacts.at the end of
the two months we will give points to
each of your sendings and we'll add'em
all in order to give your score.
when we'll have finished to count
everything we'll send to all of you a
little disk-mag containing all the
results with a mega-charts.

the winner of the compo will win a
price of 100$.
the second will win 50$.
and another one , choose by a lottery
will also win 50 us dollars.
so even if you're not a top elite
swapper you have your chance to win a
price.
for those who think that the prices are
not so high,i'll answer that you have
nothing to pay to participate and that
we will send back your stamps if you
ask for it.so everything is financed by
us.the prices will be more important if
kaos have a great success.

the competition

each compo is 2 months long.
during this period,you have to send the
same disks that you send to your normal
contacts.
those sendings bring you some points
that we add,and it gives us your score
for the compo.
at last,we make a chart of the best
mail-traders,released in a disk mag of
us.
and of course,the winners receive some
prices.

the points

* each disk filled................20 pts
* quantity of wares on a disk...1-10 pts
* quality of wares on a disk....1-10 pts
* speed of the sending..........0-10 pts
* special........................1-3 pts
* paper mag.....................5-25 pts
* a ware already sent by you......-2 pts

explanations

speed of the sending...we consider the
following things...

the delay between when we receive the
stuff from you and...

1.when the first-release (for a crack)
is done,
2.when the mag or the demo has been
officialy released.

special

if something cool is sent with the disks
then we will add 1,2 or 3 points...
those special things could be things
like votesheets,paper invitation for a
party,some money.your sister,a ferarri..

as you can see,we also give a lot of
points for those who spread papermags.

some technical rules

1.of course we won't sent back all your
disks !
2.if you want us to send back your stamp
then write it somewhere clearely in
one of your sends.
3.you must make a minimum of 2 sendings
during a compo.
4.if you are not in a group then you
can not take part in the compo. but we
will admit those who used to be in a
group and who are temporary groupless.
5.you are all allowed to make sendings
with cheated stamps,fake stamps or not
enough stamps !! (i think it's a cool
rule,hehe!)
6.you don't have to send money to enter
in the compo ! it's totally free !
7.at the end of each compo we will
published a little disk mag containing
all the results.but only the 100 first
guys will recieve this mag.the other
ones should find it by themselves or
read others disk-mags.
8.if we think that you have cheated in
anything then we'll disqualify you
immediatly.
if we made a mistake in disqualifying
you,then you could phone/write us and
explain your point of view.
9.for those who think that friends of us
will win anyway,can also write/phone
us and we will explain you that we are
no cheaters.
10.we count the disks recieved between
the 1st day of the 1st month and
the last day of the 2nd month.
if a sending comes one or two days
too late we will count it for the
next compo.

1. 1st july to 31st august
2. 1st september to 31st october
3. 1st november to 31st december
4. 1st january to 28th february
5. 1st march to 30th april
6. 2nd may to 30th june

the prices

for the moment...

1st. 100$

about the rules...

this is a new kind of compo , so the
rules are not yet perfect.
we will certainly change some of them in
the future,but we'd like to have your
opinion about'em !

for the moment,the prices are not so
high,but are financed by us.

if you wanna have more prices (the 1o or
15 first guys for example...) we could
make a rule that obliged all entrants to
send one or two dollars...

or we could make a rule that obliged
you to send money from your country and
this money would be gived to the winners
of the country charts.

don't hesitate to send us your ideas
about this compo...we will published'em
in our disk mag.

about our disk-mag...

in this disk-mag we will also publish
your announces concerning harware for
c64 or amiga.if you wanna buy or sell
something then write it clearly on a
paper with its price (or with the price
you'd like to buy it...).the announces
will be ranked by countries.

this really seems like a cool idea!!
finally someone came with the idea to
give all swappers a chance to prove
what they are made off!!
but it's pretty easy to cheat!
i,for instance,haven't sent to any of
my contacts for about 4 months now..
but i can ofcourse easily only sent to
this compo and i might even get some
prizes!!
i could also simply sent them every
disk i get my hands on!!!
maybe they should make a rule,only
allowing you to send own wares...
that wouldn't be fair either,so this
might be quite a difficulty...
anyway,the prizes can ofcourse be
higher,as everybody can pay 2 dollars,
or something like that...
okay,i hope this will turn out into a
big success and if the first compo is
over,we'll bring you the results...
