here's another interview! this time it
is with morpheus/flash inc.!

-yo morpheus, please give us some facts
about yourself!

+ok. my name is andreas wallstrom and
i'm 18 years old. i'm right now stud-
ying economics and that takes most of
time, so therefore i don't have that
much time for the computer nowadays.

-when did you start on the c64 and in
which groups have you been in?!?

+i got my first c64 in september 1984
but i didn't do anything special ex-
cept playing games. i joined my first
group in 1987. at that time my handle
was hook 2001 and the group quick
quartet. really cool! later on i
joined a group called peek & poke,
and at that time i also changed my
name into morpheus, so i have had my
handle now for over five years. we
could not do anything but swapping
and that group died quiet fast.
then followed pentangel. that was
basicly the same group, just some new
members joined. we released some
demoes but nothing special. gemini
followed. and at this time even i
started coding. but, i totally failed.
then some friends of was about to
start a new group and so i joined.
the name was eltronic(the name came
from a alarm-clock) and we made some
really cool demos but it was not
enough. after the horizon party 1989
we splitted up, mainly because the
members in the group could not stand
eachother. i joined my friends in zone
45. but i didn't stay there that long.
epsilon(an old fhi member), wanted to
start a new group and zodiac from
flash inc was about to join according
to him. he didn't because he didn't
wanna leave his friends behind, so
instead we got the offer to join fhi.
that was in october 1989, and i've
been in the group since then, and that
means that i'm one of the originals!
right now we are celebrating our third
anniversary! and that's it. i could
have made this story much bigger but
i don't have the time nor will.

-where did you get your handle from and
why did you pick this one?

+ahh, i got it from the game morpheus.
as i said earlier, my handle before
morpheus was hook 2001. a friend of
mine didn't like it and said it was
very bad. i simply looked through some
swedish papermags, and i found the
name there. why? simply because it
sounded good, and besides, morpheus is
the dream god and that fits kinda
perfect to me.

-who are the members of flash inc. and
what are their job(s)?!?

-what is your opinion about the scene?!

+it's getting more and more boring i
think. the main reason is that it gets
more harder to find something new.
today, concerning demoes, there isn't
much that haven't been done. but i
think the scene will live until year
2000 anyway.

+there is no "elite". there's either
the normal hacker or lamer.

-do you have any enemies?!?

+yepp! that's something that belongs to
all this. well, we had a fight with
panoramic but i think that's over now.
you can even talk to them at the
parties! and there's light. i don't
know why, but i gotta do with some old
scroll-text or something. mainly it's
spirou, an arrogant bastard, who i
disalike most. and maybe you've read
the latest smooth criminal. then you
understand...

-what about your future plans,or do you
live from one day to the next...

+when i quit my econimic studies, i'm
gonna be a rock star. i play in my
own thrash band "morgue", and later
this year we will record our first
album. geddit! but if i don't get that
far, i wanna be in the advertisement
business.

-do you have a girlfriend, if yes then
tell us somethings about her?!?

+yes, ofcourse! her name i madeleine
and she's as old as i am. i can just
say that she is the girl of my dream.
check in the new bullet proof, becoz'
the crazy dense begged on his knees
for the picture.

-do you have any other hobbies?!?

+music is the manor one. but i also
do different kinda sports, like
badminton, bandy and stuff like that.
but i guess the manor hobby is to
stay together with madeleine.

-if you could rebuild an old elite
group which would it be then?!?

+probably judges or 1001 crew or even
the real triad with mr. z ixion and
the guys.

-just as you thought this was going to
be a normal interview,we'll kick off
with some special questions which only
morpheus can answer right...
okay,as you're editor of the best mag
in scandinavia,you must recieve quite
a lot of stuff for your mag. what is
the average amount of votesheets you
recieve for each issue?

+you better ask creeper about that
since he's the vote-counter slave. but
i don't think we get as much as you,
mainly because we haven't got any
mega-swapper to spread the sheets.
now we have aslive, so...

-hotshot has,just like lots of other
mags,some 'delays'. is this because
you're bored of editing it,or is it
due to another reason?

+sometimes it get's really really
boring. but then i don't write it.
it's not like i'm obsessed writing
text for it. but the main reason is
school. i study economics and that is
fucking hard(i think). but i tell you,
hotshot is the longest lived mag!

-as mageditors among eachother,what is
your favourite magazine and why?

+corruption because i like that way
jack daniels write it. he's writing
style is very much like mine in some
ways. but i don't think there is a
no 1 mag, every mag got something
i don't like.

-you told us that hotshot will get a
new outfit. could you please tell us
something about it,or is it one big
secret project?

+no it's no secret. it will be alot
of graphics, because i think that it's
one hell of a important thing to have
in a mag. and there's some new funct-
ions aswell, but they have to wait!

-lots of people out there start their
own magazine,nowadays! what do you
think about this and what do you want
to say to those fellas?

+that suck! you know when we started
hotshot, there were about 20 or some-
thing, but now it's has increased
up to let's say 50. i don't like it,
because everyone thinks that their
mag will be the greatest. why not
support one of the big ones instead of
sending it to lame mags? i just wanna
say that all you who don't have a
really good mag, stop making it! don't
waste your time, because most of the
scene guys will ignore it anyway.

-you sometimes come up with the ideas
for the flash demos... where do you
get these ideas from and what inspires
you best?

+some ideas from amiga. sometimes i sit
down and just trying to figure some-
thing out. the thing i keep inmind is
that the idea must be that good, so
it will give other groups a shock.
i'm inspired from some books i got,
there's just pictures but i'll
change them into something you can
code. strange but it works.

-it has been quite some time since the
"legacy 2" has been released...
is there a new demo coming up,and when
should it be available?

+yes that's right! we are lazy as
everyone else. the new demo will
hopefully be released in august, on
our meeting. but it also depends on
if we have enough parts that is good,
so we can live up to our reputation.
that's quite hard...

-recently you got yourself a new
composer called 'shade'... where did
you find him?

+from a lame swedish that i don't
remember the name of. he's getting
better, but he's got to improve more
to reach the top! we also got metal
from sacred noise/bonzai. i guess you
will hear their music in our new
demo.

-just some time ago,aslive/hysteric has
joined your forces...
why do you need a megaswapper of his
size?!?

+first, he's both in flash inc and
hysteric. and why? because we need
a mega swapper to spread our warez and
we also need someone to spread the
hotshot votesheet. this is the first
mega swapper we ever had. actually
zodiac had the most contacts some
time ago...

-i think i've also seen some graphics
from you in a demo...
do you paint very often,and how long
does it take for you to finish it?

+my bigtime as a graphixer is
over. nowadays, i let the job over to
the ones who really can draw. i lost
the interest of spending hours just to
draw one single picture.

-are you in to the modem-scene?

+not that much, it's hard to get at's
right now. and i don't wanna try
blue boxing and stuff like that. too
risky. but i call the swedish boards
yes. we have one bbs with antic called
the subway, call it!

-if flash inc. dies,will you quit the
scene or join/form another group?

+if flash inc dies(we will never do
that but anyway) i'll probably join
someother swedish group.

-how would you discribe the flash inc.
demos.

+demoes with great(!) coding. the
design is geting better, but still
not enough. the graphics is simply
cool(hej kim lamer)! the music is ok.

-well,i guess that's all... is there
anybody who you wanna greet?

+all my contacts and specially to
those who i've met, talked to and
stuff like that. you know, the ones
i know more personally. you know who
you are.....
